Clean 4 Clean - Power Of Green Cleaning in MD, DC & VA

disclaimer: I don't write internet review often, this is probably my 2nd one ever, and i am trying to be impartial. pros: 1. The technician called the day before to confirm the appointment, and on the day, called 1/2 hour before. 2. After the initial cleaning, I called to let them know that he had missed some vents and they came back the day of my call. 3. both guys showed up on time and polite. background: There is a main duct that is connected to the furnace and off of that are ducts that go into each room of the house that is covered by a vent(i call vent duct). cons: 1. the equipment used. a portable vaccum is used to attach to the main duct. I find on the internet other company might be using truck mounted vacuum. This portable one might be okay if they agitate the dust properly. I asked the first guy to brush the vent duct, with an agitator like the one he used for the main duct, but he said that the supply duct is normally not dirty(return duct is), that(agitation) wasn’t necessary, and the vaccum on the main duct is sufficient to suck up the dirt. After seeing some internet video (some other companies use a vaccum with long hoses and a brush head), I called and asked them to clean the vent ducts again and they used the snake brush to clean them. I am sure it is still dirty deep in my vent duct where the 4-5' snake brush (the second guy used) cannot reach, because the snake brush stir up plenty of dust where it can reach. 2. hook up the consumers with low price coupon. got a $49.95 full house special in the clipper magazine, shows up and estimate is $205 because i have 3 mains and 2 returns. but of course, they have to make money. 3. I think scare tactic was used on me, because the first guys mentioned the mold problem in my duct and i need sanitization(extra charge of course). but then internet search seems to suggest mold is part of life, unlikely to avoid even after the hundreds of dollars in treatment, besides the chemicals the treatment uses are questionable to human health. i am glad i did not do that, open the window is the way to go for me. more

My carpets needed to be cleaned. After the holidays they were completely dirty, stain and spots everywhere! I called Clean4Clean because of the green influence. I really liked that! Once the tech arrived he informed me that one of the rooms would benefit from the process called a deep scrub (I was told about this on the phone) I chose to do it in the living room where all the stains were, for an additional $30. Not too bad! Once the cleaning was finished, the carpets were a bit damp for a few following hours but then they dried out fairly quick. I like the cleaning and the result. Would defiantly recommend CLEAN 4 CLEAN more

Below is a list of everything we experienced with the company. Good luck and hopefully you won't make the same mistake as us. Our experience: 1. Walked around the house with wet shoes 2. Dust went everywhere 3. They banged our wall with their machine 4. They did not clean up 5. They did not bring a step ladder to access the ducts 6. They failed to clean some of the ducts 7. Failed to install a duct cover correctly and it feel from the top of a wall and damaged our hardwood floors. 8. They opened up the cover for our boiler and did not close it. I guess they thought that a water boiler had something to do with cleaning ducts. There is a big difference between a furnace and a boiler and it appears they don't know the difference. 8. The cost was double what we expected 9. Phone operator and Manger (Russ) were rude when discussing the issues 10. They have you sign the contract prior to performing the work. The contract also includes your approval that the work was completed correctly and to your satisfaction. Technician = John G. Note: If you do decide to use the company don't be home alone with the Technician. My wife felt extremely uncomfortable. more

I scheduled Clean4Clean to come out and give a quote for cleaning my air ducts and dryer vent. After an inspection of the house and an inventory of the ventilation system the technician quoted $275 to do the job and asked if I would also like to have the interior air passages treated with a sanitizer (which kills mold, bacteria, etc.) for $175. I agreed and he proceeded with the work. When he had "finished" the main ducts he informed me that he "found" two additional returns that would cost me $15 each to do. Did I want them cleaned? OF COURSE I WANT THEM CLEANED! I want the whole house cleaned and you quoted a price! I let it go....and accepted the $30 charge to make sure that the job was complete. When he "completed" the duct cleaning he added the sanitizer and presented me the bill. $690!!! He explained that because I have two systems it was $175 X 2 for the sanitizer on top of the addl $30 that he conveniently missed in the initial inspection when he was giving me a quote. Needless to say I was floored and frankly too shocked to refuse to pay him the money at the time. He tried to say that he told me everything up front. Sneaky salesman all the way. MY FIRST MISTAKE was paying him. MY SECOND MISTAKE was not checking EVERY vent and every opening throughout the house or better yet, following him from room to room for 2 hours and watching his work before I signed off. After he left, I found MORE THAN 10 vents that were not even touched. In fact, if the vents had to be unscrewed to access them, I don't think he did any of them. NOT EVEN TOUCHED! And I think I found another MAJOR air return that was not cleaned. La di Da, poking around my house looking like he is actually working. WHAT A CROCK! And it gets better....... So I call Clean 4 Clean and tell them that I wasn't happy with the billing, but mostly not happy that the job was not done right and confirmed that EVERY vent in the house was supposed to be cleaned. Apologies, Apologies, we'll send someone out and make this problem right....did they show up? No. Will they even consider refunding the $205 that I was not quoted but was billed? Not their policy to refund. MY THIRD MISTAKE was actually believing that they were going to make this right. Whatever you do....DO NOT allow Joe C. to be your technician and DO NOT believe that Russ is going to make it right. On second thought, MY FIRST MISTAKE was calling Clean 4 Clean. more

I had air ducts cleaned 3 weeks ago. Used other companies in the past but like this one the most . The technicians , price and quality of work. Got a free video inspection before and after cleaning which made me believe in perfection of the service! Good Luck more

Had the Clean4Clean come out and clean my upholstry, and I must say i was skeptical of using any company because, my furniture was very expensive. After arriving they were very informative and explained what needed to be done. They even helped me with a sanitizer to get rid of the dog smell. I am so pleased that I just had to write a review, definitely worth the money and time!!!! more

I have had bad experiences with cleaning companies in the past, so I was reluctant to allow Clean4Clean to come clean my carpets. But I am glad that I chose to take a chance on them. All of their associates have GREAT customer service skills, they were very honest with me about the money I was spending, and what I liked best was that I did not feel like I was being sold or taken advantage of! I recently had Clean4Clean come do Water Restoration for me. I really appreciated Clean4Clean coming to service me the same day I called. I tried many other companies and all were booked, but Clean4Clean understood the severity of the situation in my home and did their very best to service my home ASAP! I called Clean4Clean last Friday and needed my Carpets cleaned quickly before company arrived later that day. Clean4Clean was not only able to service me the same day, but also had GREAT prices and did a GREAT job. I almost felt like I was stealing from the company. I would use this company again! more

I would give this place 0 stars if I could. Where do I even start? My appt was from 8-10, they called at 8:30 informing me that they wouldn't be able to make until 10-1 due to "traffic". I took the morning off of work and frankly don't have time to wait around 5 hrs for them to get to me. They reassured me that they'd be there by 11:30 max. I received a subsequent call from the tech telling me that the earliest he can get there was 12. strike one. The tech gets there and tells me that NEED the "deep" conditioning treatment and quotes me $210. WHAT? NO, thanks! they try to trick you by advertising 49.95 for 5 rooms when in actuality they'll vacuum your place for that price. STRIKE 2. He starts in room 1 and I was very dissatisfied with the job, nothing was clean, it literally looked like it was just vacuumed. I tell him to deep clean the dining room for bc it was more soiled (for and add'l $25). The only thing he did was go get another solution and pour it into the subpar machine and said that would do the job. not really. even with their "deep" cleaning treatment, my carpet was not clean. STRIKE 3. at this point, I just want him to get out of my house. I spoke to the manager "RUss" who did nothing to make my experience better. So, if you want my advice? Stay away from this company if you want your carpets actually clean. I could've done a better job with RUG DOCTOR and saved more time! more

The technician was supposed to arrive between the hours of 8am-10pm. He didn't show up until 10:47am. I saw an add that promised 5 rooms of carpet cleaned for $49.99. After the tech showed up he told me it was going to cost $49.99 plus $35.00 per room to actually clean the carpet. In his own words "If you don't get the deep cleaning then it's only spraying hot water on the carpet. It's not actually going to clean it." So they basically use a bait and switch. I told him to just go ahead and "clean" the carpets as well as he could and we would go from there. He did 4 rooms in less than a half hour. Of course nothing was actually clean when he was finished. I would not recommend this company as i was totally unsatisfied. more

We recently had to find someone to clean our dryer vent in order to prepare for the installation of new dryer. I never check the coupons that are coming via mail , but my friend told me about the clipper magazine where she found out about this cleaning company (Clean4Clean com) and which I chose to follow with later because she was very happy with the job that they provided. I called to the office to set up an appointment and the operator told me about their special that they have for dryer vent with the air duct cleaning where you pay the same price as if you get the dryer vent to be cleaned by itself. So, of course, I decide to go with that. As the technician arrived he took a look at my whole system and notified me that I have more than one main and one return ducts (which their special covers) , and he gave me an exact estimate for everything, and the operator did let me know that it will be extra charge, so there was no surprises for me as it could definitely be, but since I only needed primarily my dryer vent cleaned I customize the work myself and proceed with those specials that I originally asked for. The tech was really nice, and he also did a video inspection before and after the cleaning as a proof of his well-done job (you do have to request the video thou). I was absolutely satisfied and planning on cleaning my carpets and power wash my deck while they still have specials running!!! more

My wife would not stop complaining of how dirty our carpets were and it was on my to do list before a family party hosted at our house. Well of course I procrastinated and three days before the party I was desperate. This company were the only ones who could schedule me the next day, but I must say after reading some reviews I was skeptical. I didn't have much time to think with my wife breathing down my neck so I scheduled. Time was a bit inconvienent, but what do you expect on such short notice. The two men showed up, told me what they were going to do, I did pay the extra amount for different solution because I have two dogs. Definitely glad I called them, wife is happy, party was great, will keep them mind for next family event. more

Having 4 kids and a dog in the house, the carpet has to be cleaned from time to time. Went on craiglist and saw an ad for this company decided to give them a call. Talked with one of their representatives who was very professional and nice on the phone. Had the tech guy come in within the week and without any problems my whole basement and kids rooms were done maybe within 2 hours. The carpet was cleaned pretty good counting that the kids did everything possible to it. Will absolutely give them a call within another year or so for another carpet clean. more

I heard about this company through a friend and decided to give them a call. We made an appointment to have our air ducts and carpets cleaned and they showed up on time and didn't waste any time. The staff was friendly and patient with us while we were deciding on the work we needed to get done. After they were done I could really tell the difference in the air flow and our house doesn't get stuffy from all the dust anymore. Our carpets were very clean and they even got pet stains out that I didn't think would ever come out. Great friendly service and good rates... will definitely be recommending them and giving them a call again. more

Seeing as I own a few town houses in the city which are HUD homes they needed extreme cleaning in regards to the carpet durig the final steps of restoration. I was told about this company that did excellent work for a reasonable price for thier services. I am now completely and utterly satisifed I chose Clean 4 Clean to take care of these tasks for me. The carpets were disgucsting, filthy, and deplorable. But after the work of Clean 4 Clean they are spotless, clean, and restored to orignal quality. Thanks Clean 4 Clean!!!!! more

So my friend recommended me this company saying they cleaned his apartment and did a very good job for a good price, I gave them a call and they came on June 7th 2011. My carpet was very dirty from my 3 dogs but they did a GREAT job of cleaning it and making it look as good as new for a great price!!! Give them a call and let them satisfy you. more
