Classic Property Management

Horrible! It takes anywhere from two weeks to two months to get something repaired. The married couple they have to make repairs lie to them regarding contacting you. Then you have to call continuously to ensure things will be fixed. When you finally put your foot down and God forbid stand up to them then you're the problem! Jay Hartley even went so far in an email to personally attack me. Stay clear! more

The move to Classic Property Management was a decision I did not take lightly. I have investments in 3 states (11 cities) with 6 homes in the DFW area. During a search for new investment homes to purchase, I ran across some of Classic's leased homes offered for sale with leases remaining of 11 months to 2 years. After the purchase I kept the properties with Classic and the current manager since they were already familiar and over the past year I have been very impressed. I have just completed the transfer of the original 6 properties I have in the DFW area to Classic. Comparing the services Classic provides to the other companies I have used in the past makes it seem like I have only been using rookies and now have moved to the pros. The largest impact has been with timely call backs, direct deposit of rent in to my account, their own maintenance people and 7 day a week leasing agents. My properties have leased quickly and seem to stay leased longer. I have already recommended several in my So Cal Investment Group to use Classic and I encourage other investors to do the same. more

I purchased 2 houses that were being managed by Classic Property Management and decided to change management companies. But they had already collected the June, 2010 rent. But instead of sending the rent to me, they gave it back to the tenants. I even explicitly asked them to send it to me, in writing, and they did not follow my instructions. They do not listen or care about their property owners, do NOT use them for management services. Pros: nice name Cons: unprofessional, condescending, arrogant more

Looking at the other reviews here I am learning why my experience with Classic was so unproductive. It seems like they are great managing in highly structured, predictable and bureaucratic situations (i.e. HOAs) but they are out of their element when it comes to helping an investor make money with an investment property. During an extremely tense and uncomfortable transition with our HOA concerning board issues, ect, Classic's staff was wonderful! Our manager is great and took extra time to answer and attend to so many questions and requests and did so with a smile. The entire staff exemplified professionalism and courtesy. Classic Property Management has been great for my community. I think neighbors and members outside of the board and/or commitees have no idea what it takes to keep a community looking and operating at it's best. Before we came on with Classic we were going downhill, and FAST! A great deal has changed in the last few months and it is starting to reflect in our budgets. This company is by far the worst that I have ever dealt with. Not only are they unfriendly and seemingly annoyed by doing there jobs, but good luck trying to get the to resolve any issues you might have with one of there properties. I have never in my life felt like I was getting the run around like I have with this company. They could really care less. more
