Working Out 11/29/2010

Since I started training with Chisholm, I have become stronger and more fit. He pushes me during our work-out sessions. We are always doing a new routine and his work-outs are definitely not boring!! My clothes are fitting better and I feel better about myself. Not only is Chisholm is very knowledgeable about physical fitness but he is knowledgeablre about nutrition as well. He motivates me to eat healthier and is always passing along interesting articles and tips on nutrition and healthy eating. more

EXCELLENT TRAINER! 11/25/2010

I started working out with Chisholm Macdonald 14 months ago. The workouts are different each time and challenging. Chisholm pushes me beyond what I think I am capable of doing and inspires me to work harder. He is also very knowledgeable about nutrition and has helped me understand and appreciate the importance of nutrition in relation to overall health. People ask me when I am going to stop training; I tell them NEVER! Training with Chisholm is the best thing I have ever done for myself. I highly recommend him! more

Chisholm is an excellent trainer! Lost 15 lbs. in the first 4-6 weeks. This is my first go at personal training and before I started I read a lot of bios- what caught my attention with this guy is how passionate he is not only about exercise and staying fit, but also the importance of eating right. He provides great nutrition tips during workouts, and also sends out helpful learning material to keep his clients motivated. Make no mistake about it, you will need to do your part, but his training provides a platform for you to reach all your fitness goals. He will help turn you into a cardio machine! He's also got a great sense of humor which helps you stay engaged during training sessions. Great location, intimate gym, reasonable rates, and if you are looking for best training in Houston- give Chisholm a call or text! more

Great Pre-Wedding Trainer! 3/8/2010

I had been getting in shape for my wedding over the past year on my own through improved eating habits and going to the gym a few times a week. In the remaining few months, however, I felt I had plateaued and needed an extra push to get myself in the best shape possible. I found Chisolm and though I was skeptical of what a personal trainer was able to accomplish in 2 months, I began seeing results (as did my friends and fiance) within a couple of weeks! Chisolm spent time on nutritional counseling and in addition to meeting him 3 times a week, I began running on other days when I could. Not only did I become more lean and toned, I eventually became an avid runner (something I thought I would never get into!) The sessions were enjoyable, Chisolm was a great motivator but was never mean about it, and he certainly knows what he's doing. Looking back on the wedding pictures, I must admit I have never looked better and am so glad I made the decision to have a personal trainer. To spend so much on a dress, hair, and makeup, and yet not be in good shape, would have seemed like a waste in the end. Pros: Great motivator, nutrition counseling, good location more

Chisholm is one of the best motivators I've ever met. He's extremely knowledgeable about what he does and knows exactly how far to push. Chisom is a trainer that is not only knowledgeable about his profession but has a true passion for health and fitness and helping his clients achieve results. I have worked out with several trainers who have you purchase hour long sessions only to try to small talk or watch you do cardio half the time. Success Requires Removing the Quitting Option 11/20/2009

I?ve been with CitiFit for nearly two years. Chisholm is not only a wealth of health and fitness knowledge, but has the aptitude to transfer that knowledge in layman?s terms/views to clients. Chisholm has the ability to read each clients limitations and plans workouts accordingly. This is not the trainer you want if you?re looking for a 30 minute session to spend time at the gym looking pretty. Be prepared to break a sweat and push yourself beyond what you perceive to be your limitations. If you truly want results and are ready to put in the work Chisholm will give you the tools necessary to reach your goals. more

I HATED working out before I started training with Chisholm. I wanted to get in shape to compete in a swimsuit competition, so I decided to get a personal trainer. The workouts with Chisholm are never the same - he changes up what I am doing all the time so I don't get bored or complacent. Not only does he motivate me to work hard and push myself, but I really learned the importance of nutrition. He has sent me numerous meal ideas to choose from and they were tailored to the food that I like and would actually eat. My main goal was to tone up so I would feel confident in my bathing suit on stage - I ended up WINNING the swimsuit competition at Miss Dallas USA and placing in the top 15 at Miss Texas USA. I could never have done it without his help and advice! Pros: motivational, makes you work hard more

Worth the Time and Money 10/5/2009

I have lost 30 pounds since training with Chisholm. Besides his extensive knowlege on training, he is also a great resource on diet and nutrition. The weight started to come off once I really listened to his coaching regarding, weight training, cardio and nutrition. I also like how he is always looking for ways to improve the workouts and tailors each work out to each of his clients. Best Trainer In Houston 1/28/2009

I've been training for over six months with Chisholm and it is one of the best decisions I have made. My favorite aspect of our sessions is that they are NEVER the same. I originally met with Chisholm because I wanted to get in shape for my wedding. Once I (and my husband) realized how effective the sessions are, I stayed around after the nuptials to stay in shape as a fit wife. Chisholm really knows your limit and pushes you to achieve your maximum strength. My workouts are energizing and he is very knowledgeable about nutrition, and fitness. Great trainer, keeps you motivated 1/25/2009

I started working out with Chisholm more than six months ago, and I have definitely noticed a difference in my strength and muscle tone. He?s been effective in keeping me motivated, which isn?t easy. The workouts will challenge you, but Chisholm seems to know when to push you harder when you?re about to give up, and when you actually need a break. He also helps on the nutrition side ? with a realistic approach that encourages you to make better choices most of the time. If you?re looking for a trainer who strikes the right balance between tough and patient, then I highly recommend Chisholm. Chisholm has been one of the best parts about moving to Houston. I've never had a personal trainer (or a workout plan) before, but he helped me figure out where and who I wanted to become, and then structured a training program around it. He covered every aspect of my fitness regiment and continued to check up every time we met. He'll even send out information to his clients just because it's good to have. Pros: Equipment is new and kept up well. Lots of available hours, consultation time. Cons: Can be a drive for anyone not close to area, but WELL worth it! more

I started with Chisholm a year ago at a whopping 380 pounds !!!!!!! He desinged a workout plan that even I could follow 3 days a week. He made it fun & challenging ,he even provided me with a meal plan. When I took time off for surgery he called all the time to see if I was ok and he was more than helpful getting me back on the right track afterwards. I am proud to call Chisholm my personal trainer, he has truly changed my life and more important my health and WEIGHT !!!!!...... I am in FAR !!!! better shape now. I dont know what I did before him.
