I was treated by Dr. Levine with BOTOX and RESTYLANE (filler) Who ever thought that among the professionals at this salon would include a board certified medical doctor! Once a week he is at this salon, and will treat you with BOTOX, RESTYLANE, and other fillers. The stylists take care of your hair, and facials, and Dr. Levine smooths those wrinkles. This salon is incompetent, unprofessional, and rude! They have one or two stylists at the most that are talented hairdressers. As for all the rest, I can give a better blow-out. more

I have been going to Christie's for over 15 years. I go to Sylvanna for color and jen for cut. I can't tell you how many compliments I get when I leave there. I live on Long Island and have tried to get my hair done out here but I return to Bayside for the right job. I've known the ladies at the front desk for years and they are busy but polite. The place is very busy at times but they are very professional. I tell my friends to go specifically to Sylvanna or Jen. Pros: Great Color and Cut Cons: far drive for me but worth it! more

I went there only once and I don't plan to return anytime soon....bad service from the receptionist to the people washing your hair. They were rude and stylist looked you up and down with a distaste attitude. For the price I paid for the service there in the end I could have paid for a top notch studio in Manhattan. more

I have been going to christie's for a number of years now and am sad to say that I am disgusted with how it has changed! The hairdressers are immature, unproffesional, low-class and care more about talking on the phone or text messaging than actually doing your hair. On a number of occasions I have heard them speak terribly about their clients seconds after they leave their chair. If you want to know what i am talking about just watch the movie mean girls that's exactly how they are, just not as fashionable. Not to mention the salon overbooks all the hairdressers so 8 out of 10 times there's a wait. To wait an hour or more to have your hair done by one of these amateur nit wits just isn't worth it. This salon is the best salon in Queens and Long Island. Lois colored my hair and it is so shinny, beautiful and blond. Everyone in the salon is so helpful and they do not pressure you to purchase products. I got my hair straightened by Jennifer and she did a fabulous job. This slon is open late certain nights of the week which is great b/c I work full time. more

I woldn't go out of my way for this salon but I think it's a great location for convenience's sake. They do almost everything here-hair, nails, threading, massages, facials-it's a big place. On the expensive side for Queens and really crowded. I went on the weekend with 5 of my bridesmaids to get our French manicures(tips also) & pedicures. Some of us also had our eyebrows threaded, they spend a good amount of time with you and are very thorough. The women there did a great job and were friendly, although they seemed rushed. It was very hectic but it could've just been because it was a Saturday. I would go to this salon again if I knew for a fact that it wouldn't be crowded. I booked a massage for my boyfriend and a facial for myself during spa week. The salon itself is very large, very bright, very loud, with blowdryers and the usual salon noises. When I arrived, the facialist gave me a form to fill out and sat me down in a lawn chair which was in the front of the salon, facing the windows of the mall (Bay Terrace). Apparenly the spa week special was for a "repacharge" moisturizing facial, without extractions. It was to take place in the middle of the salon, with the noises, facing the mall so that passers by could watch. I politely declined and asked for a regular facial, offering to pay whatever the difference was. The facialist said that she did not even have the time to do a regular facial. When I still declined, she talked to her boss and after a while, she came back and said that she would perform the regular facial on me. I was led to a dark cozy room, was tucked under the sheets, listened to calming music, was steamed up and had extractions. The facialist did not push products and she was very gentle. Whoever thought up that whole "repacharge" facial idea is an idiot. Other than that I think it is a nice upscale place in Queens with skilled professionals. My boyfriend enjoyed his massage also. I love this place. I got a haircut and I feel like a new person. My appointment started on time, Lisa who cut my hair did a wonderful job. She was friendly, not pushy and really listened to what I had to say. My manicure pedicure was terrific. This place is the bomb!!!!!!!!!!! more

This salon is full service and really reasonable and has a staff that is completely aware of the products that they sell. I got a facial by Helen and it was the best facial I had in my life. See was very gentle, and when I left my skin wasn't inflamed and all red. Then I went to Lois and had my hair colored and it looked fabulous. She really is an expert. Finally I went to Jennifer to have my hair blown out, and I left looking like a movie star. This was a great experience overall, and I highly recommend it anyone. more

I love this place. I had a fabulous facial, the best salt scrub pedicure that I had in my life, and my color made me feel like a million dollars. Plus the haircut was just unbelievable. Seriously this salon is a full service salon and it is reasonably priced. Lois colored my hair and I absolutely love it. She made my hair look so thick and full just by adding some low lites. She is the nicest person, and she gave me her full attention, which I greatly appreciated. The hair cut was great and the stylist totally listened to what I was saying. She just took a little off the back, and gave me long layers which is the look I wanted. great place, please try!!!!!!!!!!!!!! more

One word to describe this salon.....FABULOUS!!!!!!!!!! Lois Christie did my color, and it looks great. She turned dull flat hair, it healthy georgeous looking hair. She took the time to sit down with me, and actually cared about how I felt. You don't find this kind of service in many salons. Lois was so graciou and very nice. My hair cut was also great. I really recommend this place to anyone who lives in Queens. They don't push retail products, and everyone isso helpful and very nice. it is a great place. more

This place is great. The staff is super friendly. My favorite part was getting a hair cut and being able to do it at home. The girl who cut my hair totally gave me the hair cut that I wanted. I love this place. more

the staff is RUDE, they push you around as if we were cattle, LOIS CHRISTIE herself had done my hair, not only is she rude to her staff and the customer...my hair is pratically white with little gold splotches by the root....AWFUL. not to mention the fact that its breaking off non stop. a young woman named Lisa did my hair....i have horrible choppy layers... i wonder if these people are even lisenced by new york state?? THIS PLACE WAS GREAT...I LOVED MY HAIR CUT....THE STAFF WAS SO FRIENDLY AND EVERYONE WAS VERY NICE....EVEN THOUGH I WAS LATE.....NO PRESSURE TO MY PRODUCTS, I PICKED UP SOME BUMBLE&BUMBLE PRODUCTS B/C NO OTHER SALON HAS THEM.....GREAT PLACE MUST TRY AT LEAST ONCE...NO JOKE IT IS FABULOUS more

I got my hair colored by Lois. What a gem!!!!!!!!!She totally took the time and sat down with me to discuss what I wanted.She didn't do what she wanted as most colorist do, she actually took time and had a conversation with me.I was so happy with the outcome, that I decided to get my hair cut also. The cut was just as good as the color.I highly recommend this salon to anyone who lives in the five boroughs.They even serve coffe and tea.When you arrive at the salon make sure ask for Lois. more

I went into the salon not knowing what I wanted. A stylist came and sat down with me for 15 minutes to discuss what she thought would be a practical hairstyle suitable for my lifestyle. The women @ the front desk was warm and welcoming. Back to the stylist, she gave me a terrific haircut that only takes me 15 minutes to blowout, which is great considering I am always running late in the am. The staff is welcoming and friendly, and they even have coffee and tea which alot of salons do not offer. I highly recommend this salon to anyone, they really do care about the consumer. I also found out that they give the absolute best manicures and pedicures on the planet. Overall it was a fabulous experience, that everyone should try at least once. I am going back in 2 weeks to get my color done....they are that good. more

I WENT AND GOT HAIRCOLOR SOMEWHERE ELSE IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD AND THEY REALLY SCREWED IT UP. I CALLED CHRISTIES LAST MINUTE IN A PANIC AND THE RECEPTIONIST WAS MORE THEN ACCOMADATING AND GOT ME IN RIGHT AWAY. LOIS CHRISTIE THE OWNER FIXED MY COLOR AND I WAS SO GREATFUL. IT LOOKED PHENOMENAL!!! I REALLY RECOMMEND CHRISTIES TO EVERYONE, A VERY UPSCALE SALON MANHATTAN LEVEL RIGHT HERE IN QUEENS!!!! more

I went and was overcharged (almost $70) for a pretty basic trim. The girl (an asian woman ..Jen I think her name was) decided to not pay attention what heat level her flat iron was and burned completely the back of my hair. I didn't notice of course until hours later when I ran my hands through my hair and it felt like stiff straw. I was horrified when I washed my hair the next time and saw it in the mirror. This is the first time my hair is now ten times more unhealthy than when I went in. This will take years to grow out the damage this salon did to my hair. AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS!!! (or at the very least my stylist) Pros: salon atmosphere is very chic Cons: absent minded stylists, don't know how to style hair, too much $$ more
