I went in last weekend for a gel manicure with a woman named Kim. She said she was brand new to CHristie and boy was she fantastic. My nails are unchipped and perfect and that was a week ago. Kim, YOU'RE A JEM! I'll defintely be back to Christie's! more

I came into the salon for a wedding party to get my hair and makeup done. I wanted a certain look and they gave me exactly what I wanted. I got an updo done with Enza and it was perfect, all I had to do was show her a picture and she did a great job. I got my makeup done with Lisa and it was a great experience. I first I was scared because I never had my makeup before she did exactly what I asked for. Overall I had a great experience and was very happy with my services. more

I came in last friday, the friday before the 4th of july, without and appointment. They were slammed and super busy and still made a space for me to get my hair done and a mani and pedi. The only downside to Christie & Co is they only have one location!!! Come to Manhattan Christies!!! more

I went in for the first time to have a haircut with Enza. she was recommended to me by my cousin. she was excellent. she did exactly what i asked for and my hair looks better then it ever did, i also got a single process color while i was there. I recieved 20% off for being referred. i was very happy with the visit. i will def. be returning back more

GOOD SERVICED BUT WAYYY OVERPRICED. PLUS THE STAFF WAS RUDE WHEN I WALKED IN TO GET A CUT. THEY ACCEPT WALK INS BUT DIDNT ACT LIKE THEY WANTED TO SEE ME CUZ THEY WERE CLOSING IN A HALF HOUR. OTHER THAN THAT THEY DID A GREAT JOB. more

Ive been coming to Christie's for years- they offer everything in one. I can go in on a saturday and leave after a facial, cut and blow, and mani and pedi- feeling like a new person without driving all over and back. Marisa cuts my hair- i swear theres no one greater. Her attention to detail is just superb. On top of it all they offer free coffee and cookies! You cant beat that! more

I had a wonderful experience at Christie's. I spent a day of beauty there: - had a 4 layer facial that was AMAZING. It was done by Lydia. I have had many facials before and this was the best one I ever had. My skin was glowing afterwards and no red marks or rashes, just healthy, beautiful skin. I highly recommend getting this facial. - had my eyebrows waxed and they look great. 2 seconds and they were cleaned up perfectly. (also done by Lydia) - had hair colored and highlighted by the owner, Lois Christie. She choose the color and it looks amazing. It's warm and beautiful and matches my skin tone perfectly. I love it! - Haircut by Marisa - also amazing. She gave me the perfect hair style for me. I am a mom of 4 and don't have a lot of time to get myself ready. My hair now looks good when I roll out of bed in the morning! AND, she was able to do this without cutting it super short (which is what most hairstylist want to do). She was able to keep the length and still give me an easy, fantastic style. And it's a sexy look too so I don't feel like an old fart! - My makeup was done by Lisa and it looks fantastic. And it's easy. She gave me several time saving tips so my makeup doesn't take more than 5 minutes. - Nails were done by Nikki and they look fantastic. Best part - they still look nice! My nail polish usually chips within a day - sometimes that same day! But this manicure still looks good. The best part - I can do it all myself - the hair & makeup. So often I go to a salon, my hair looks good when I leave, but then I can never get it to look good by myself. Well, I've done my own hair and makeup and it looks great. As a mom of 4, I don't have a lot of time to myself so having the ability to make myself look good and feel good in a matter of minutes is priceless. I can't thank the staff at Christie's enough for helping me. I looked terrible when I walked in and left a whole different person, happy, confident and feeling beautiful. Nobody was rude, everyone was so sweet and kind. I will definitely be back there soon! more

I decided to return to Christies after I was pleased with my first haircut. While leaving after my first visit, I saw a woman yelling at the receptionists causing an uncomfortable scene. I figured she was a dissatisfied customer having a bad visit. When I returned, I was pleased with the haircut and I found the staff very welcoming and professional as I did the first time. However, I must say that I was completely appalled with the behavior of the woman I saw in my previous visit yet again. I asked the hairdresser who was the lady screaming across the store at the employees infront of all the customers, and to my surprise I was informed that it was the owner< Lois Christie. I found it extremely unprofessional and disrespectful to the employees as well as the clients. I asked the hairdresser if this was typical behavior and she chose not to answer but rolled her eyes. How can someone reach such success with such disrespect to others? The words coming out of her mouth made me feel uncomfortable as I'm sure it did to other customers. I loved my haircut but I will not be returning to Christies. I refuse to pay close to $75 for a haircut while hearing some crazy woman screaming who obviously seems to need anger management. more

I dont know what the people below me are talking about.... they are experts and have done my corrective color that was ruined by the little dead end salons in the area, Christies is a needle in a haystack of queens salons- a true gem... more

I walked in one day without and appointment and they took me right away. I was given to angela who gave me the best haircut ive gotten in a long time. She didnt an imaculate job on the blow out. I am so happy i finally found a salon where the stylist know what they are doing!!!! I will absolutely be a returning customer at Christie Salon more

I went into Christie & Co Salon last weekend to have my hair colored and cut. Even though it was a last minute thing, they took me right away and put me in a chair ! The lady who did my highlights was amazing & my haircut came out great! I will definetly be going back there! more

Great Experience - looking forward to my next visit.. service ~ service ~ service ~ fabulous. The Hair coloring department was amzing - paid attention to my requests - made great suggestions... came in as a one toned brunette left with highlites that i LOVE.. cannot stop looking in the mirror Manicurist department- OMG - has the best attitudes i've ever witnessed. i got this great new product on my fingers & toes = chippless nail poish. you have to try it to believe it. it is the newest thing. i work in NYC, have had them touch up in manhattan same product DEFINATELY not the same quality i recieved at Christie & Co. i cannot leave out the shampoo "girls" - seriously i want to go back just to have my head washed. good going Oh - did i mention the spa treatments? out of this world. i left this establishment - relaxed - & looking my bestest. be prepared to pamper youself - yes ,you deserve it - take your time & spend the day. well worth it. more

I have had the pleasure of knowing Lois since my youth, and seeing everything she has accomplished only makes me want to work as hard and know as much as she does. I walked into Christie's with buffalo wing colored hair, no exaggeration. A girl who did my hair was helping me go from dark almost black hair back to my natural color, a soft ash brown. In the process of stripping and bleaching my hair, I was in the reds and oranges of hair color. Since I am familiar with hair color and processing, I knew something was wrong. Lois explained everything to me properly and that no further damage would be done. The correction took less than 2 hours, and I ended up with my natural color back, with glaze and semi permanent color. I should have left the job to a professional so i would not have had to suffer for the past week and a half. Amazingly, I kept the strength and softness of my hair... I'll thank my genes and Lois's concern for healthy hair since I am only 21. I am so happy with the results. I am due in 4 weeks for a touch up, and I look forward to being happy with it instead of hiding how I really feel. The girls who took care of me were excellent and friendly, blown out and colored to perfection. Don't leave a job like this to anyone but Lois. I look forward to my next appointment. more

I was in bayside a few weeks ago visiting my mother and my boyfriend called me and told me he finallyyyy got us a reservation for the hot new place in the city. So being i live all the way out east on long island and i was already more then half way to the city i was stuck.. My roots looked awful and i needed something and something quick. So despite what i read on here i went to christies anyway. I guess i lucked out because when i walked in I was put in the owners chair, Lois Christie, who gave me the best head of highlights in my life. Im completley addicted and will DEF be making more visits to queens. No one else will be touching my hair besides her - there reall is nothing better then a master colorists!!!!!!!!!!! more

I just moved to the queens area not too long ago and have been tirelessly searching for a stylist i could trust with my hair. Upon hearing great reviews from friends who have been long time clients of Christie & Co, i figured id check it out for myself and boy am i glad i did!! I arrived at the salon at 2:50 for my 3pm appointment. The young girls at the front desk were very welcoming and pointed me in the direction to get a robe. When i sat down in the chair with Marissa, I already knew i was in for a treat. Before starting anything, Marissa and I spoke of what i was looking to have done and i told her how my long hair is very important to me but ive been wanting a new look without loosing too much of my length, but i needed something that was going to make my hair look heathly after years of coloring and flat ironing it. She took it from there... About 40 minutes later, Marissa turned my chair facing the mirror so I could see her masterpiece!! What was once long damaged dull hair had been turned into a head full of heathly volumiuous hair!!! I swear I've never seen my hair look so good! I will DEFINITELY be back to see Marissa and if your smart you'll go there too.. Pros: parking, beautiful salon, expert care! Cons: none! more

I've been to the salon before only for manicures or a quick eyebrow wax. But I recently recieved a gift card from my husband for a massage and facial. I normally go into the city for my spa services; but i figured i would give it a try and I'm so happy I did. I absolutely love Diana and will definitely be a returning client!! more

this was my first and last time 4:00pm walk in for my 4:00pm appointment - asked me what i was here for, told me to put on a gown 4:10pm asked me what i was here for 4:20pm pointed at me, gave me the "come here" finger asked me what my name was and what i was here for 4:30pm told me to get my hair washed - told her i'd rather have the person cutting my hair see it dry first (for obvious reasons) 4:45pm gave gown to front desk girl, left salon Pros: none Cons: rude, unprofessional, snotty . . . more

I recently had my hair colored by Loretta and cut by Jen. Loretta was extremely professional, knowledgable, listened to my concerns and gave great advice. My hair has never looked so good. Jen gave me an excellent cut and instructed me on how to maintain the look in between cuts. I will definitely return to see Loretta and Jen again!! Pros: Great haircut, perfect color! Cons: Parking may take a while. more

After years traveling to Manhattan to get my hair colored at a "famous" salon, upon recommendation I tried Christie & Co. Who would have known that such a place existed in my own backyard. Not only is my color amazing and looks better than ever but my hair is actually healthier now too. I also love their pedicures.
