Please don't use this company if you want to be treated fairly 7/15/2013

I paid $34,093.00 in October 2012 for all of my belongings (4 bedroom, 3800 sq ft home) to be moved from CO to FL. This included packing and 6 months of storage. I stated over and over again that I wanted a TOTAL bill. I was only paying one time up front- all charges included. The amount I paid was $10,000 higher than another moving company's quote. In May 2013, much to my surprise, CB charged my visa almost $13,000.00. I was in shock. Nobody at CB had even informed me that this was coming. I also did not have "white glove" service. And I did not have even one mover from my CO move show up at my FL home like they "promised". Please don't trust this company. Their quote isn't worth the paper it's written on. Please go with another company that won't treat you this way. I am still in the process of fighting this dispute. Almost $46,000.00 for a family of 4 move is absurd. Don't trust a word they say. more

Lost several items 6/29/2013

Christian Brothers lost several items. We hired the movers to load up our belongings and take it to storage for 2 weeks before moving it tonour new home. They took apart a bookshelf and never gave the shelf or pegs back. That is minor to the fact that they also never brought back a step stool that my grandfather made, which is irreplaceable. The crew who brought our stuff back was dropping boxes, falling down the stairs. They said they have worked double shifts 3 days in a row so they were tired and moving slow. We shouldn't have to pay extra money because their managers overwork them and my belongings shouldn't be thrown around bc they are tired. Contacting the office to discuss this was a nightmare. The lady who handled our move never called back, I had to call numerous times. She would say she has to talk to the head boss and call back in 5 min. Never called back so I had to call her again. more

Great - couldn't be better! 6/17/2013

My wife and I administer a private Christian school and needed to move from our rental space in a local church, but hadn't found a new facility yet. So we needed a storage facility with lots of space. A client suggested Christian Brothers - from our first contact I knew we were connected with a professional, competent business. The truck arrived with three gentlemen, who were careful and very aware of our contents, wrapping fragile items like electronics and bookshelves. After four truck loads over two days, the movers with the highest integrity were done without any complications, everything moved with terrific care, and the gentlemen were a delight. We had a marvelous experience. more

This crew is so incredible we are sorry we don't have another move to have them back. Thomas is a great boss. Ricky is very, very kind, polite and smart and strong. Jesus is extremely polite and has a great attitude. Angel moved super fast and was very respectful. And Josh is quiet but mighty. Thank you so much- we are beyond impressed. more

Actual moving cost was 67 higher than estimate 4/29/2013

I received an estimate from Christian Brothers over the phone and because it was so low I then insisted a representative come out and do a "walk through" to make sure the estimate would be realistic. I also received estimates from 2 other moving companies that were higher than CB but ended up to be much lower than CB's actual bill. CB estimated 10 hours (actual billed for 17.5 hours). They estimated $400 for fuel (actual billed for $800). An estimate that was off by 67 does not seem to meet the ethics test. Our estimate was $2,388 vs. actual of $3,998. On two occasions I was told I would receive a call back regarding the discrepancy, which never happened. Today I called again and their response has been 2 E-mails from their law firm threatening legal action if we do not pay the $3,998. The amount has been charged to our VISA account. I had hoped for a better response from Christian Brothers but since that does not seem to be possible, I feel any future customers of theirs should be made aware of our huge disappointment in their ability to make a realistic estimate for their services. more

Disappointing - damage to furniture. 4/26/2013

The men were very nice but they damaged my most expensive piece of furniture and then questioned why I would not tip - that caught me off guard. The repair was made but it could not be fixed well - still looks damaged. more

The guys were great! Treated my furniture like it was in their family- very carefully! They made a difficult situation (moving) almost fun! They also completed the job an hour faster than scheduled! more
