3rd generation and i love her too! 9/9/2007

Both my mom and granny have been clients of Chris for years. At first I thought she might not keep up with current fashion since she has been doing hair so long but no, Chris constantly learns new stuff to try and does some very high fashion color. Most of my friends comment on my color and I always send them to Chris. I never worry that they won't be happy Chris is very versatile. Pros: She is an excellent stylist in all ways Cons: Not too much atmosphere but you don't mind more

extensions are great 8/10/2007

I walked in and was immediately greeted by Chris. At first I always feel nervous seeing a new stylist (so many bad experiences) but felt comfortable right away. I liked her openness and felt she was not just there to collect the money. My first appointment was a consultation for extensions and the second was to have them put in. She did an excellent job and when I left several hours later I knew it was worth both the money and the time. I love looking at my new thick hair. The color blend was really beautiful. You can't tell at all where my hair ends and the new hair begins. more

book ahead-it's worth it! 7/15/2007

Chris is getting busy-she is worth the wait. I just had her re-color my hair after another stylist really messed it up, and I love the new colorand the cut also. My friend told me about her and now I want to tell everyone I know! She is sweet, she listens like an old friend, and you really know how much she cares about her customers. That alone makes me happy I found nher-so often these days we feel like the person working on us could care less if we like our look. This is one stylist that puts clients first! My only suggestion is to plan ahead. more

Why can't they all be as service oriented? 7/8/2007

This morning I had an appointment with Chris and was happy to see that she was on time, courteous, no, friendly, and the work she did on my color and cut was truly first rate. She did not rush through the cut, she cut, then evaluated how it fell and then worked out the little quirks out one at a time. Each time she discussed what was going on and why she was doing whatever. If there was ever a stylist that loves what she does, it is Chris. I am happy to be one of her regulars. She has quickly become an old friend. Pros: extremely professional, loves her job, easy to talk to Cons: can' think of any more

I used to travel quite a distance for my hair extensions-San Gabriel in fact! My friend told me about Chris Hanson in Pleasanton, so I decided to give her a go at it. WOW! My hair is long, thick, and there is no demarcation line that you often see with cheap extensions. The color blend is beautiful-my hair absolutely shimmers when I move. She will only use the best hair available and the connectors enable her to take the extensions out and reuse them when they grow out. Saves $$$$$ in the long run. Now I not only have a source close to home but also save quite a bit of money also. \r I must also say her customer service is the best. Once she had to reschedule my appointment for another day and she made up for it by giving me a free service. I really can't say enough good stuff about this stylist. more

Chris did my extensions today and they are BEAUTIFUL!! She uses great hair and several techniques depending on your existing hair. Mine were sort of connected with a tiny ring. They lay perfectly flat against my head so they are easy to hide with my hair. We added some highlights throughout and she blended the rest of the hair with several colors so they don't all look the same.\r Her prices are good too, much less than some others I have looked into. If you want really good extensions call Chris. You will love them too. Pros: fantastic work, a personable stylist, interested in me Cons: The shop is not glamourous but her station is private more

Usually I go to one of those salon-spas but find that I am paying for the fancy decor rather that the good work on my hair. I finally decided that I wanted to find someone who establishes a relationship with the customer that we both build on and that I can depend on to give consistant care to my hair. In the fancy salons I could never find this. It seems like they are working so hard to increase sales to cover expenses that they forget who I am and the service end is not consistent. \r This stylist really does put clients first. It is not a glamourous setting but the work and company are excellent. I enjoy going there, and can count on the fact that Chris knows who I am and what my hair needs. Pros: Location, service, friendly, consistent more

She doesn't overbook, making me feel she is rushing through to get to the next person, and when she finishes I actually love the way my hair looks, and she explains how to get the look at home. I have extremely long hair. I do not let anyone cut or color it unless I have extreme confidence in them. When Christine saw the length she did not try to talk me into cutting more than I was comfortable with. She just said ""Let's take this slow"" and that she did. She cut only the amount I told her and patiently asked how I felt about the new look. I thought it was not enough so she once again cut exactly the amount I wanted. By the time we were finished I was confident enough to let her do the color. Again she took baby steps but produced a color that was vibrant and beautiful. I was sold. Christine can cut my hair anytime. more

Prom do 5/5/2007

I had Chris style my hair and several of my friends hair for the prom. Each one was unique, beautiful, and lasted all night. I've had my hair done before for an event and it did not last until I went out. This year was great. I was very happy. more
