It's very rare that I ever write a review so if I were you I would let this carry extra weight as you evaluate who to use for your repair. Honestly, I would not recommend Chattanooga Appliance if they were the only service company in the world. You would have your appliance fixed faster if you your crossed your fingers and hoped Santa or the Easter Bunny would arrive at your home with a tool box and the replacement part that Chattanooga Appliance cannot locate anywhere in the United States. My dishwasher is 15 months old; my assumption is that the needed part is still manufactured and not yet obsolete. Good luck if you use Chattanooga Appliance. more

Do not understand the negative reviews because our experience has been awesome and exceptional with this company. The difference from other companies was that the owner, Brian, and Employees, Walter and Richard, were determined to fix our front loading Whirlpool duet correctly not quickly. Yes, we waited on parts and it took three trips but my machine works and everyone was very pleasant. I am a very satisfied customer. more

My Review sounds just like a couple others on here. I would not recommend this Appliance service!!! In fact I don't think I have ever been treated so rudely before by an owner of business and lady answering phone. I called Lowes Service center on Friday 8/1 about our Whirlpool refrigerator, they directed us to Chattanooga Appliance Service. Chattanooga Applience service called on Monday 8/4 to set up appointment, the soonest that would work was Wednesday 8/6, because of our work schedules. The tech showed up at appointed time but was unable to fix because part would have to be ordered. When I stated it was very hard to get off work for both my husband and I he said they are real good in working with customers schedules. He also felt that the part would be in by Friday 8/8 and I would get a call when they recieved it, to set up next appointment. Well I didn't get call on Friday 8/8 and I was very busy and unable to call them till 8/11. They recieved part but something was broken and they had to reorder new part, would call when they got part, which of course they never did. I had to call them back once again at which time I explained to lady how hard it is for us to get off work, she told me I could not just pick a time it had to be at 9:00 in morning because she would have to send two techs, asked to speak to manager/owner to see if I could get a better time for my scedule he was very condisending and rude. So I ended taking off work 8/20 in order to get fixed. Well 9:00 am rolled aroung no one showed, at 10:00 am I called and said tech was at another job, and she stated that I was told 9:00 to 11:00 which is not true. She was very adament in previous phone conversation it had to be at 9:00. He finally showed up at 12:30. I was without a refrigerator from 8/1 to 8/22, and they could have cared less, this was the worst customer service I have every received. I give Chattanooga Appliance Service ZERO stars if I could do negative I would. more

If I could give 0 stars I would! Our Whirlpool Refrigerator went out less than a year after we got it. We called Whirlpool on a Friday who directed us to Chattanooga Appliance Service. They sent someone out on Monday to look at it. He diagnosed the problem, but said he did not have the correct part so someone would have to come back later to fix it. That Friday they sent out another tech, who we thought would be fixing the problem. Come to find out he was there to diagnose the problem AGAIN and the part was ordered that day. He told us it should be here early next week . Well, it takes a week to get the part...Whirlpool told us that if it gets there early enough of Friday, it will be fixed on Friday . Friday rolls around, the part arrives at 10:51am and we get a call later that day that someone will be out Monday between 2 and 4pm. Still not fixed and have received no explanation why the part wasn t ordered when the first tech correctly diagnosed the problem. 18 days with no fridge, no food, eating out every meal, and absolutely no empathy or compensation for our troubles. The worst service I have ever dealt with. We will never buy another Whirlpool appliance or deal with Chattanooga Appliance Service ever again! more

Rude, not helpful. After a few good reviews, we decided to call Chattanooga Appliance Service to repair our Whirlpool Washer that had just quit working. On the phone, they were kind and helpful. When the technician came out, he fixed the problem within about 10 minutes but then attempted to over-charge us by more than $100. We called the office to double check the rate we had been told, and they confirmed that the rate we'd originally been given was in fact the correct rate. The technician fought us back on this, but ultimately surrendered and allowed us to pay the correct amount. From that point his attitude was cocky and rude. My husband and I even discussed while he was there that we hope that we never have to deal with them again due to his behavior alone. THEN, to top off his blatant disrespect and total incivility, here I am 3 days later with a washer that as it turns out is STILL not repaired. We will obviously not be using this company in the future. (Also, doesn't it strike you as odd that their only completely positive reviews were from users that had all joined and written on the same day? Looks like owner intervention to me.) more

Fast, Friendly, Professional 4/24/2012

Just moving here and not knowing who to call, I almost didn't pick this because of a negative review on here. After reading the positive reviews I decided to call just to find out for myself. The lady who answered the phone was courteous and informative and told me someone would be here between 12 and 2 PM. At a little after noon I received a call stating they were on their way. They arrived, were knowledgeable on the machine, and in less than an hour our dryer was back to drying. I would highly recommend them for their professional and affordable service. Rude on the phone 3/9/2012

These people made me mad before we ever even got a chance to try them out. My refrigerator broke down at 4:30 on Friday afternoon, and the very rude person on the phone, wanted to waste my time "educating" me on how one company manufactures a refrigerator and another puts their brand name after telling me they would not service my particular model. She didn't seem to understand why I would want to find someone who would come fix it with only 30 minutes left until the weekend, rather than listen to her smart-ass educational statement. As she was telling me to kiss her ass, I was hanging up. These folks are horrible, and I will do anything I can to make sure that as many people hear of my experience as possible. "Let me educate you" she says, well I decided to educate anyone looking for a service company, that you should go to the next company, because they are rude and nobody deserves to be treated like an idiot, especially when time is so important. Appliance repair 8/3/2010

Had a problem with a brand new Whirlpool dryer; called Whirlpool national, and they assigned Chattanooga Appliance to come out in Three days. Called Chattanooga Applaince Service, who had been assigned by Whirlpool, and they had David at my house in less than thirty minutes. He knew exactly what to do, and was courteous to boot. Ever call a company for to fix your stuff when you have a warranty? Well I did I called Maytag about my pos brand new dishwasher and they sent out a local company called Chattanooga Appliance Services. Now I have used them in the past for some of my Personal needs and Have now Regereted EVER doing so. This company has a Owner ( Ken ) that is a real pain in the neck and has a real attitude problem. He came to look at my dishwasher that is under warranty by Maytag and said that he thinks there is something in the pump and he is NOT going to take the pump apart because he only gets paid yearly by Maytag and not per job. On top of that the last few times I have used this company I have been treated fairly crappy. I am seriously thinking about charging back the services they did for me personally a VERY short time ago. He also called Maytag and told them that it was customer abuse and blocked himself from future warranty calls on my product( i have had several issues with this unit) he has only been out 2 times for this unit. When in fact what is wrong with it is that the top shelf clips broke and went into the pump and now has jammed it. ( how in the world is the abuse on my part). So to end this if you need repairs done I would recommend that you NEVER use CHATTANOOGA APPLIANCE SERVICES located in Hixson near the Red Bank line. Pros: Shows up Cons: Never does anything usefull and still charges you for it. more
