my dog was seriously ill & they turned her away!! 9/16/2008

my dog (at the time was 4 mons old) was spayed (in feb 2007) by chatham vet clinic... a week later she became very ill.. coughing & coughing and with that came vomiting, she couldn't hold anything down at all not even water... so I tried to get her in to she our vet the next morning at the chatham vet clinic, they said that they were too busy & had no open appointments so I asked if I could at least have my vet call me they said yes & took my name & number & this was around 10:30 am... so I waited (I never heard of such a thing most places will try to work you in for an emergency at least that's what I thought) by 12 pm I hadn't heard a thing so I called them back... still the same thing we are busy & we have no appointments open & the vet may not get to your call back of course we will remind him that you want him to call you, but however if you wish to do so you are welcome to go somewhere else.... & I said that is ridiculous you people just did surgery on her I figured that he would more

Best doctors in town 5/16/2008

We have been taking our animals to this clinic for as long as I can remember and the doctors could not be more caring. Yes, you have to wait a while because it is a very busy business, but it is worth the wait. The doctors really care about the animals, and the prices are reasonable. more

This is the Worst Veterinary Clinic in all of the Springfield Area. 4/9/2008

My girlfriend's dog broke is leg in an accident and she took him in on a friday and said that the surgery would be done on Saturday. They also told her that they would call when the surgery was done. Saturday night, my girlfriend finally gets a call from the vet saying that the surgery was done and the dog was fine. She asked if we could pick him up on sunday and he told her that we had to wait till monday afternoon. Well I go in on monday to pick him up and find out after waiting in the office for over a hour that the surgery was not done and that her dog was in the OR right then. So he was taken in friday morning and had to wait till monday for his surgery. When I got angry and asked why we were told he was done with surgery, ok, and ready to go home. Then find out that he hasn't had anything done, they told me that it was because of an accident and emergencies that he wasn't ready. Then I asked why someone hadn't called us on monday morning and said that he wasn't ready. I more

Can't believe these people 12/17/2007

If I could give no stars I would. We took our cats to Chatham Vet for almost all thier lives, and we never had a problem. The last time we went my cat was very sick and we were told she need emergency surgery, and that they were staying overnight to do the surgery. The next day after a restless night, we had to call them to find out what happened. The receptionist told us that Vegas made it through the surgery. We came to find out later that day that she had not even had surgery. And that she wasn't okay. So again we kept calling and calling and we got bull crap excuses every time. She stayed there for 4 days before getting her "emergency" surgery. And she died that night, because they don't stay with the paitents after a "emergency" surgery. They didn't call us we had to call them to find out she was DEAD!!! The communication is the most unbelievable, disturbing thing ever. Not only did we have to call in to find out that she was dead, they called her a boy numerous times. They should more

A great vet if you have time to wait 11/17/2005

We have taken our dog to this vet for almost 7 years now. The doctors there are extremely knowledgeable and caring and the prices charged are always reasonable. Unfortunately, they seem to schedule too many appointments in one day and the wait to see a veterinarian can be hours long - even with a previous appointment. more

very helpful staff 10/14/2005

I have only been to this vet a few times but every time I have gone they have been very friendly and helpful. I have some bad memories as the last time I was here my dog had to be put to sleep, but they did everything the could before it came to that. Their prices are much better than the other vets in town and overall I very highly recommend it to others. more

Chatham Veterinary Clinic 10/14/2005

I have taken my animals to Chatham vet for years. They are very good at taking care of them and diagnosing problems. They are very reasonably priced and I highly recommend them to anyone with animals. more
