My wife and I contacted Charlotte Comfort Systems during the abnormal heat wave that Charlotte endured.\r \r All personnel that we had contact with were not only professional but knowledgeable, friendly, considerate, and willing to go above and beyond the call of duty to make sure we were completely satisfied with the installation of both our cooling and heating system.\r \r Not only did they perform the installation in a timely manner, but made sure that we understood all functions and operations of the equipment before leaving our home.\r \r We would recommend them to anyone that wants A fair and objective view of the work preformed at our home. We just had a new HVAC installed by Charlotte Comfort Systems. They did a terrific job. They arrived as scheduled, were neat, clean and very professional. They took the time to train us on the new system and all the features. When I am in the market again, this will be the first company I call. Awesome service. more

Had them come out and examine our AC which had stopped working. They had been up front that it would be $85 for tech to visit. He showed up examined condensing unit and then looked at furnace/blower. Quickly stated that the board was no good and would need a new board that would be in the $900 range and suggested we simply get a totally new AC system. Had another company sales guy come quote that sales guy asked what was wrong with unit. I explained that fan had come on and was running no matter where thermostat was, he said that sounds like a ""roll out switch"" Goes into attic resets switch and everything is working. Don't know if their techs aren't trained well or if they are in the business of selling new units but certainly felt violated enough to write this! more

We just bought our new air conditioning system from Charlotte Comfort Systems and could not be happier, out of 4 companies that we had over for estimates their proposal and offering was the best by far. They installed a new Lennox high efficiency system with a large color screen thermostat that is connected to our wi-fi that allows me to control the system from my phone. A 10 year parts and labor plan was also included which will keep the cost down over the the next decade. more

One time, I explained the ducting that needed replacing. I explained that their technicians had already seen and discussed the problem with me and that I needed a quote. Receptionist scheduled a service call to quote exactly what I had explained. They billed me $90 (without telling me beforehand) for that quote. I ended up doing it myself in 1 hour when their quote included 2 professionals doing it for 2 hours (4 hours billed). Pros: null Cons: null more

Fast Service - Price gouging on parts!! 1/6/2012

I heard about Charlotte Comfort Systems on the radio and decided to call them when our upstairs heat unit went out. I determined the ignitor was bad and ordered the part online ($20 and 2 days to receive). We then had unexpected house guests for the night and I wanted them to have heat so I called Charlotte Comfort Systems and was told 89.95 + plus the cost of the part. I knew the part that need to be replaced and knew the price - I expected it to be marked up but they wanted over $300 for the ignitor. I declined and paid for the service call. I'll never use nor recommend Charlotte Comfort Systems again! There are plenty of other reputable HVAC companies out there that will not try to rip off potential customers! Pros: null Cons: null more

good service 1/5/2012

had my system for over 20 yrs and it went out last year just at the end of a/c season. call png for some one to install a new system they gave me 3 names i call all 3 and don and confort system can in with the best bid.they install my system in just 2 days. the only thing was fter the unit had ran for 2 days on a/c it had a probleam. lenux knew of the probleam.they fixed the probleam and gave me at no charge a exter warnetry for 20yrs on the entire system even on weekends and holidays. thats in loue of the standard warnety. good jod. Overall a pretty sub-par experience from the start, and all the way through the process. There are a lot of other contractors out there that really want to put the customer first. Look elsewhere. more

Great service on the weekend 4/9/2011

My a/c unit went out today so I called one of the large companies that advertise the same price on the weekends; WHEW!!! what a ripoff they charged me $89 for the service visit plus they tried to charge me almost $400 for a contactor and $120 to clean my a/c unit coils. After paying the service fee and sending them on their way I asked my neighbor who they use- Charlotte Comfort Systems. The service fee was higher on the weekend which was reduced after buying a maintenance plan and that got me a discount on the repairs which totaled $115.00 Plus he performed the first service on my unit and cleaned the coil at no charge, so we are ready for the summer. Kyle was the technicians name and I am truly impressed with these guys. more

NOT a 24 hour service company 12/3/2009

They claim to provide 24 hour service, though this isnt completely true. We used them for our preventative maintenance, which was fine. I prepaid for the heater preventative maintenance in the fall, as well, so that I could save a little $$$. more
