I live in NYC and was looking for a wheaten puppy last year. I ran into several wheaten owners randomly on the street and at dog parks who had purchased Wheatens from Marie Larkin. She is not a breeder, she breeds dogs simply to profit, and unfortunately, most of the time sells innocent families a puppy who ends up having health problems. I've heard every story that these Wheatens have stomach cancer, allergies, several gastrointestinal problems, and need to be on permanent medications for digestion. These dogs are NOT from Ireland and clearly do not even have an Irish coat, compared to my wheaten who I got from a reputable breeder from the SCWTCA website, the OFFICIAL wheaten website. Yes, they are more money, but yes, they were raised humanely, are healthy, and are the breed standard. A reputable breeder would never ""mail"" a puppy either. Please do RESEARCH. Would you adopt a child from a random website on the internet without doing research first?
