Love Donna! 11/24/2011

I have adopted 3 cats from Donna. Recently, I had to return an adult male. He was great with my family, but he and my other cat just could not get along. I brought him in and she tried to give me my money back. I told her to keep it to help the animals, and she told me I could come adopt another cat anytime at no charge. I took home a kitten. I called Donna twice before I brought the cat back to her. She returned my calls both times and was willing to do anything she could to help. The person that gave Cat Nap Estates 1 star obviously didn't even reach out to Donna. How can you be angry at a woman that rescues cats from unknown circumstances and does her best to get them in good health? You are supposed to take your cat to the vet right after you adopt. My papers clearly stated right on them that she cannot guarantee health due to not having complete backgrounds on the animals. I got lucky 3 times, just like you got lucky at the SPCA. The SPCA also puts animals like yours down, Donna does not. She is in the business of RESCUING animals, not deciding who lives or dies. more

Kitten infested with coccidiosis, ring work & herpes virus 5/18/2010

I purchased a 2 month old kitten from Cat Nap Estates at the local Petco store for $95.00. The kitten was unable to meow, and had eye drainage, so I took her to the vet two days after purchase. The kitten was found to have coccidiosis (intestinal parasite), ring worm, and a feline herpes virus infection that is recurrent and cannot be cured. The first visit to the veterinarian cost me an additional $259.90. I am now also required to take my two other pets for testing in two weeks, which will cost an additional $80 for the test. If they test positive, treatment will cost over $400. I will also be required to treat my children if they develop ring worm infections. My good deed of adopting a kitten from this organization has already cost me $400, and will likely cost nearly $1,000 before all is said and done. I cannot believe that an organization that purports to save these beautiful animals would neglect them so severely, and then use Petco?s well known corporate name to prey upon unsuspecting consumers. I am further distraught that Petco allows this organization to do so. I would NOT recommend purchasing / adopting any animal from this organization. I adopted my dog from the Houston SPCA, and for $85 we adopted a beautiful, healthy dog. Cons: Very sick kitten, cost much time, money to nurse to health more
