Castle Pet Resort & Spa

Have been going there now for two months for their Non-Anesthetic teeth cleaning. The staff always seemed really nice and professional. I tried them for the grooming of my little toy poodle who is a total princess. She came out great and it was half I mean literally half the price of my regular groomer. I am a convert I will be going there from now on! more

I have been going to Castle Pets for about a year now! I have a little kitten that means the world to me. I have been checking out reviews on this place because the people that work there and the atmosphere seem so different than what is being described by some random reviews. This place rocks I highly recommend them! more

DO NOT EVER GO TO THIS PLACE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?!!!!!!!! We put our cat there for 2 nights, and when we went to pick him up, he was GONE! THey LOST our cat. No one knew when they had last seen him, and the staff kept giving us different stories. They told us, ""we can't locate him right now, but IF we find him, we'll call you."" They acted so whatever about it, as if they just misplaced a pair of shoes! The owner never returned our phone call. WE had to go by the local businesses to ask if they had seen our cat. Pet Castle calims this has never happened, yet when we asked their neighhbor, they said that they get cats from that place a lot, and some have even had babies on their property. They have done NOTHING to help. Like I said, WE had to ask local businesses. My little sister is absolutely devastated. The owner's grandfather has cats there and everyone says he must have left the door open on accident, but he swears he didn't. These people are absolutely awful, and I would NEVER ever reccomend this place for ANYONE. Absolutely ridiculous!! I have no idea how they are even in business with having over 50 complaints with the humane society. DO NOT put your pet here!!! more

The reason I am busting out the five star is because I think they really diverse it! I have read the reviews about this place and they seem to be generally good, but I have taken Benny to tons of dog boarding facilities throughout his life. He is no ordinary dog, every time I go somewhere and explain the whole routine on how you have to feed him people give me a hard time and I don't think they really do it. He just wont eat and I was getting worried about him! They took video of how he ate the chicken stew they make there. I could not believe it! they fed him by hand just like I asked them to. I will be going back! more

I use to take my dog Barney to a place in Glendora. For grooming, boarding, and even day care once in a while. Every time I got my dog back he looked like he had lost weight. I have started taking him to doggy day care at Castle Pets and wow what a difference. I think the big thing is that they get out side to play with other dogs. I will not be going back to the place in Glendora any time soon! They have an awesome grooming parlor in Castle Pets also which makes it really easy for me. It is like a one stope shop for me and my dog. I have been to all sorts of diiferent hotels for your pet. I went to the one in Glendora, Claremont, even one in Covina. They have huge out door play yards for the dogs. When I use to get him home from the place in Glendora he looked like he had been caged up all day. I have started getting him groomed there and I must say that he does much better with their grooming salon. more

I am very particular about how I have my babies groomed. I just moves to san dimas and was nervous so I did my research. Thanks to many reviews I read i was led to Castle Pets Resort. I got there, it was very clean everyone was very professional. When I left my dogs they had a great time playing with the rest of the dogs. When I got them home the groom was excellent. The best thing was the price they were ten dollars cheaper than anyone else! They even sent my dogs home with doggie treats for free. more

! Look I have been to a ton of dog boarding places pet hotels whatever you want to call them. There is always something that happens. I went to this one place in Monrovia and I got my dog back with a gash in his right ear. I talked to the lady and she just acted as if that was part of the deal when you drop off for doggy day care. I go out of town a lot and I work a lot and my dogs and cats are really my only friends. So I am very particular about who watches them. I interviewed all over the San Gabriel Valley. I must have gone to ten different places. There was one in Pasadena that seemed nice but then I read their reviews! OMG! Anyways I finally found this place in San Dimas that does the boarding, day care, grooming, training, everything that I needed. I took an hour going over everything with the manager and finally decided this was where I was going to board my dogs. They even take them on trips to the lake! Every time I take them back to board there my dogs act happy. It kinda made me jealous, but it is what is good for them while Im away more

Samson Loves Them, So Do I Samson is my great dane who is at least 140 lbs. He is the best dog on the planet no joke. I think he really knows what I am saying when I talk to him for hours at a time. Because this dog has some sort of super dog powers I love him like he is my son. I do not like to leave him anywhere. My Vet in Charter Oaks reccomended this place called Castle Pets. I checked them out and they were really the only place that could accomidate Samson and his special needs. First he is a huge dog he cannot fit in tiny places. I went to check the Petsmart out in Glendora and they were way too small for my boy. I tried them out for day care before I left town and he loves it there. He is dragging me down the walk way every time we get there. He starts whimpering when I am around the corner. I boarded him there for two weeks. I figured he wouldn't eat for awhile because he missed me so much. Nope he ate like a pig. Evidently he likes their chicken stew. If you are looking for a place for boarding your dog they can't be beat. Highly reccomended. more

I have been coming to these people for years. My dog Zues loves this place. You can tell when we get close because he starts barking like a mad man. He runs in and plays with all his friends. When I get him home he is absolutely exhausted. I bring him a snack every day for snack time. He absolutely loves this place and the customer service is very good. more

IN THE LAST 5 MONTHS, THEY HAVE HAD MANY DOGS ESCAPE, A DOG GO INTO DIABETIC SHOCK AND DIE (WAS GIVEN TEN TIMES THE AMOUNT OF MEDICINE) THEN CHARGED THE OWNERS FOR THE VET BILLS. THE OWNERS ARE SO UNPROFESSIONAL. THEY USE THEIR STAFF TO DEAL WITH THEIR PROBLEMS FOR THEM. NOT ONLY ARE THEY INCREDIBLY LAZY, THEY ARE ALSO MONEY HUNGRY LIARS. THEY CHARGE YOU HIDDEN FEES AND ABOUT 95% OF THE TIME, YOU ARE NOT GETTING WHAT YOU PAY FOR. THE PROPERTY IS INFESTED WITH RATS AND IS UNSAFE FOR ANY ANIMAL, ESPECIALLY THE DOGS. THE KENNELS ARE RARELY CLEANED, AND WHEN THEY ARE THEY ARE JUST HOSED DOWN AND SCRUBBED USING DIRTY BLEACH WATER. THEY TELL YOU THERE IS SOMEONE ON PROPERTY 24 HOURS A DAY 7 DAYS A WEEK BUT THIS IS 100% FICTIONAL! YOUR DOG GOES IN ITS ROOM AT 530 FOR FEEDING AND IS IN THERE TILL 8 AM THE NEXT MORNING WHEN THE BUSINESS OPENS. I HAVE PLENTY OF PICTURES TO SUPPORT MY CLAIMS AND WOULD LOVE TO SHARE THEM WITH AS MANY PEOPLE AS POSSIBLE... THIS PLACE HAS SOME REAL POTENTIAL, ONCE THOSE OWNERS ARE GONE. HOW DO I KNOW ALL OF THIS YOU ASK.. I AM A FORMER EMPLOYEE WHO JUST RECENTLY LEFT THAT GOD AWFUL PLACE BECAUSE I COULD NOT LIVE WITH MYSELF WHILE WORKING FOR SUCH AN INHUMANE PLACE. IN FACT WHILE WORKING THERE I SENT ABOUT 30 PLUS PEOPLE TO TAKE THEIR DOGS ELSEWHERE! PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD ON THIS PLACE AND HELP SAVE AN ANIMALS LIFE. We left our dog Maggie with Castle Pets during the last month of July. She escaped from the facility, and was found three miles away near San Dims Canyon Park. The owner still charged us for a partial stay, and didn't seem to concerned about the incident. One would think that a full refund would have been given for not properly supervising our dog Maggie. more

Howard my little poodle had some problems with her rear end. She would shuffle her ass across my carpet about every thirty minutes! I had been to the groomer in Claremont a couple of times and she did an ok job and I told her about the ass thing and she told me I should take her to the vet. Well we all know how expensive that can be so I took her to another salon thank god it was Castle Pets! The lady told me she expressed the anal glands. She stopped dragging her ass thank god! My drive is a little further than the salon right around the corner in Claremont but it saved me a vet visit!? more

I usually hate leaving Sammy! That is my two year old bijon with way more personality than she needs. I have tried boarding her everywhere, I have even left her at the vet, which was a huge mistake! She came home very unhappy the first couple of times I took her to the pet hotel. I live in San Dimas and work in Diamond Bar so Castle Pets works out great for me. I had been using Castle Pets for grooming and I took a tour of thier boarding facilities and it was really nice. I can't believe I lived right down the street! I signed Sammy up for a couple of hikes and a spa treatment while I was away. She looked great when I got her back and she had actually stayed the same wieght. She ate while I was away! That was a first. I think their staff is really caring when it comes to peoples pets. I will definately be using them again!? more

I have a bunch of animals. I have a parrot, an iguana, three dogs, two cats, and a partridge in a pear tree. They are my life! My partner runs off to work everyday and I take care of the animals. I got pregnant a couple of months ago and started thinking wow there is no way I am going to be able to handle all these pets and a baby. I started looking around and found this place called Castle Pets. My husband and I live in Los Angeles but he commutes to Pasadena so it wasn't much more of a drive for him so I had him start taking the two dogs in for day care. What a difference. When we got them home they were tired and happy and they were not as needy as usual. I intend on using them for boarding when we have the baby. Highly recommended! more

I have been taking little CICI my poodle mix to a grooming parlor in Glendora for years now. Every time I got her back she seemed like she was traumatized. I love my little CICI she is my bestest friend. I looked all around and found this great grooming salon / doggy day care place in San Dimas. I met the groomer and checked out the place. They have great yards that CICI can run in while she waits to get groomed. She has never dragged me into a grooming parlor before Castle Pets. It makes my life so much easier!!? more

I can't tel you how much these people know about dogs. They really helped me out when I needed it. Then I talked to this place called Castle Pets and they told me that I needed to bring him in for doggy day care before i left him at the boarding facilitie so he would get use to the fact that I would be coming back. It worked like a charm I left him at the boarding facilty for over two weeks and when I got back he looked like he had always known I would be there for him he didn't have that crazy dejected look. Anyways I really recommend using the doggy day care before you leave them for boarding it works great. I have lived in Los Angeles all of my life and let me tell you i HAVE BEEN to tons of boarding facilities. This is by far my favorite! Pros: Great People, Great Place Cons: Great Prices more

I have live in West Hollywood for years now. I have actually been thinking about moving out to Glendora so while I was looking for a place to live I had my little dog Sharpy with me and decided he needed a bath. i found this great place called Castle Pets. They are by far the best grooming parlor I have ever been to. I now make the thirty minute drive ever time he needs a bath! I looked every where especially in Glendora because the prices were similar. To me it is very important who I leave my dogs with. I don't really trust anyone in the beginning. I left my two dogs sammy and sosa with my neighbor once and wow how disappointing. So i did my rounds I even went to visit all the different places. Driving from Claremont to Glendora to get an idea of where I would leave my babies. Sammy and Sosa are great dogs and they deserve me taking the time to find a good place for them I finally found Castle Pets in San Dimas.
