Best

All the staff at the front desk were friendly and helpful. The doctor was very professional and all his helpers were very friendly and caring.

Worst

It took them over a year to resolve a bill of mine. They seem Very nice...but are very sneeky and incompetent. I regret that I ever took my family there. Watch out for overchar...

Would highly dissaprove of this dental practice 7/21/2010

I honestly wouldn't recommend this Dentistry to anyone. I was looking at this from a third party perspective, because I wasn't actually a patient. Just a relative to the patients. The girl's appointments were set for 2 pm Wed. July 21. We arrived at 1:45 and expected a small waiting time, before the girls were called in. It took an hour at the LEAST before the girls were seen. Others came in and out some came in thirty minutes after we arrived and were seen before the girls were. When the girls finally were seen the process took about an hour, give or take a few minutes. (By the way, they were scheduled for a teeth cleaning and x-rays) at the end of the 2 hour mark the only task that had been completed were the x-rays. Neither of the girls' teeth had been cleaned this day. The DAs proceeded to tell us that the teeth cleaning appointement were to be rescheduled to a different date. Also we had to wait 15 minutes to actually schedule another appointment. In August. Also information that I forgot to provide is that morning, my step mom called that of 20 times to confirm the time and never got an answer. So we had to drive over which is about 10 minutes away to find out that she forgot to turn the phones over and our appointment wasn't until 2. The women were very sweet, although the work ethic was terrible....Maybe I came in on a bad day...Better luck next time i guess Pros: Sweet receptionists Cons: Wait time of 21/2 hours, failed to provide essential info. more

Wonderful Experience 2/22/2010

Im not sure how anyone could be confused about insurance coverage. They gave me a printed out sheet that stated my portion and my insurance portion. My portion was highlighted. When my insurance discount turned out to be greater than their discount program, they told me to go with my insurance. And showed me the proof. Pros: Friendly, Warm, Caring, and Cheap Cons: Rooms not private or closed off more

WORST DENTAL PRACTICE EVER!!! 1/13/2010

I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HORRIBLE DENTAL PRACTICE TO ANYONE. STAY AWAY!!! They are very shady about giving patients correct insurance information. One staff member will tell you everything is covered and another will tell you that your insurance does not cover the visit at all. They really don't know what's going on and are extremely dishonest!! Be careful at the end of the visit because you will have surprise charges for sure!!! The office manager is totally dishonest!! She will tell you one thing one day and something totally different the next day!! Cons: WHERE DO I START?? more

Dont ever go there 11/25/2009

I had appointment and made me wait for hours. Wish I had never been to this place. Please do not go there. They are interested in only money and more of it. They know how to scare patients and get more out of you. They are not in the patient care. Care providers are may not be well qualified. Please do not go this place if you have choice of choosing another dentist Pros: nothing worth noting Cons: wait time too long. Just interested in money and notpatient more

Long wait but worth it 7/6/2009

I took my 4 yr old to the dentist for a cleaning and tooth pain.I worried about how she will react to the procedure and the dental staff. The dental assistant that was assigned to us was fantastic. She made my daughter so comfortable and relaxed that the exam and x-ray went off with out a single problem. To performe the dental work she was given some meds to make her sleepy. All the procedures were finished with in an hour or so. When my daughter woke from her sleep she was not in any pain and didn't remember the procedure. I was very pleased with the pediatric dentist that they have on staff and am taking my other children also for check-ups. Pros: Performed everything in one visit. Cons: Long wait for the dentist. more

Worst Dental Office EVER! 4/7/2009

Castle Dental in Pearland has the worst staff, practices, cost, and bedside manner. My boyfriend went in for a routine cleaning and ended up with a laundry list of things that ""needed"" to be done, including a root canal and three fillings. He decided to take the dentist on her word and ended up regretting it immensely. First of all, he has had dental work done before and knows that he needs Valium and pain medicine prior to the surgery or he will literally freak out. So for the safety of the staff and him, he requested this. Of course they could give him a pill or two, for a cost! They gave him some Valium to calm him down, but did not bother to factor in that he is 6' 3"", 220 lbs. They didn't give him the correct dosage and it wore off before he even got to the office. That was the first problem. Then he got into the root canal and requested gas. They gave that to him...at a cost! They left the gas on for about 5 minutes, not throughout the entire surgery, but just 5 minutes at the beginning, and then turned it off and charged him $100. It wore off after about ten minutes into the surgery and they wouldn't give him anymore. That was the second problem. The next thing was that after the surgery he came home and had excruciating shooting pains down into the tooth. The tooth that was supposed to have a root canal...which means he shouldn't feel anything from it. It was Saturday or Sunday by the time he decided he couldn't live with that so we called the office to find an emergency number. We got their answering service, which was very nice and seemingly helpful. They said they'd page the on-call dentist. They did...seven times over the course of the weekend...and she NEVER called us back! All he wanted was some reassurance that this was normal and he would be ok. So we contemplated going to the emergency room. He decided to tough it out, but that could've cost us even more. That was the third problem. And the final problem I'd like to tell about here is a culmination of all of these things. On the first visit my boyfriend made to the office, they told him he needed two root canals, three fillings, and a cleaning. But not just a regular cleaning, a specialty cleaning that would cost him an extra $100. Big surprise! His insurance would only cover so much per year, so he decided to do the expensive cleaning and the root canal right away and get one filling. They didn't actually do anything on that first visit except detail out the thousands of dollars they wanted him to pay them. He then had to go back for the filling. Then back for the root canal. Then back for the cleaning. Four visits and time off from work and about $1,000 out-of-pocket later, he was done with those people and vowed to never, ever go back! Now he's trying to get his records from them to take to his new dentist and they've ""forgotten"" to send him the correct release forms for two weeks, so he now has to make a trip down to Pearland, where we do not live anymore, to get them for his new dentist appointment tomorrow. These people are basically worthless and if you're contemplating going, please read this!! Thank you for listening! Cons: Cost, Service, Knowledge more

Good 4/1/2009

I required deep cleaning after avoiding the dentist for years with some need for treatment for my gums. Now my gums are healthy again and I will not avoid the dentist as I have done in the past. more

Worst dental clinic I have ever visited 1/21/2009

I waited in that office for 3 hours, no less. I was going for a simple office visit. I saw the dentist for 1 minute and 30 seconds. She looked at my X-rays and my teeth, then she poked two of the spaces between my teeth. In that time, she diagnosed gum disease and sent her hygienist to poke some more (30 minutes later). In the end, they recommended a treatment that would cost me $700, even with insurance. If the dentist had spent even 5 minutes with me, maybe I would have believed them. As it stands now, no way. I will be switching dentists and starting afresh. It was a terrible experience. Did I mention I didn't even get my teeth cleaned in that time? more

Friendly service, Are you kidding?! 5/4/2008

I can't go through all the trouble we have had It would take to long. I will just say this office is RUDE, UNCOMPASSIONATE and MONEY HUNGRY. They will just tell ya that the last office crew "" wasn't following procedures"" They give ya excuses for everything. And nothing is their fault. They don't call ya when they say they will. Oh and don't pay in advance! We paid off our account early and now the office mgr. says we don't get a pro rated refund. WHAT!!?? Oh but we will gladly get the retainers.....for a fee. To sum it all up, DON'T come to this office with your child!! You can't sit with them, they dont give you an accurate time frame(I know braces can take longer sometimes, but this was rediculous) The two main office people are rude to ya and the kids. I can't stress enough how bad this expeirence was!!!! Don't go to this office if you have a choice. more

Go somewhere else 3/31/2008

Office Manager(Annet) has a rude and unfriendly demeanor. The treatment assessements seem over estimated . I went to a periodontist the week before and it was not going to require as much to clean my teeth. I agree with the previous reviewer that the dentist turn-over is high. One of the hygienist who has been there the longest has an authoritarian demeanor and at one point discussed my husband's case with me and advised me to have my husband come in for regular checks. Generally, my experience with this place has not been pleasant and I am sure I can get better treament somewhere else. .. therefore I have decided to take my money somewhere else and I hope you do as well. Pros: close to home, a few staff members/and dentists are pleasant Cons: Rude office manager- will tickle down to rest of staff more

Stay away from this location 2/29/2008

Long wait times on phone and office. Had to make 3 calls just to have the doctor call back on an issue. Office staff seems incompetent. All information is not disclosed up front it seems and things change from one visit to the next. more

Stay far far away from this location 2/4/2008

Office staff is rude and incompetent. They'll make up an answers to your questions instead of researching anything. I visited this dental office every 3 months over the past year and each time I found out the previous dentist had left! Says alot about them. This place has extremely long wait times, is overcrowded and noisy. These are not isolated incidents, it like this everytime you go in there. Pros: Located near my home Cons: Everything you can think of more

5 weeks of infection? 8/25/2007

I tried setting up an appointment with this group due to an infected gum/tooth. The very first appointment they could get for me was 5 weeks later. The receptionist was very polite and even laughed when I said I might not call to cancel if I die of infection first. I thought that since there were multiple dentists in this group that someone might see me that week, but no. I was told to call back next week to see if anyone had canceled. Come on how is one supposed to wait 5 weeks when they can hardly open their jaw to eat. ( I did tell her this also and she said she did not know.) Pros: Local to my area. Cons: Extreme long wait time to get in to see the actual dentist. more
