Cassio is the absolute best. My dogs are my family and the professionals at Cassio treat them as such.

Editorial review from Citysearch 6/19/2014

Never again will I take or recommend anyone to take their pets to CASSIO. I found the staff to be unprofessional, rude, and their grooming service was poor (had to touch up my pet's cuts,& nail trimming) more

Terrible attitudes/customer service 4/16/2014

We discovered Cassio after taking our dog to several other kennels in the area and being unhappy with them. We've been taking her to Cassio for about 5 years and were very happy with them up until recently.\r \r The last 2x we have kenneled her with them, we've experienced quite a change (for the worse) in their customer service.\r \r They were supposed to have their groomer bathe her, give her a full summer trim and clip her nails. The groomer only bathed her, but they billed us for all of the services. When I told them about the discrepency, they became rude, treated us like we were trying to get something for nothing, despite me asking them to either remove the charges or perform the services. They chose to perform the services, but still treated us rudely.\r \r The next time we kenneled her with them, when my husband went to pick her up (45 minutes prior to their cut off time), the staff were incredibly rude to him, despite him waiting patiently as others came in to collect their pet more

My Dogs Can't Wait to Go Back! 3/24/2011

I recently (February 2011) used Cassio Kennels to board three of my Greater Swiss Mountain Dogs. I had previously used a chain that has several CT locations, but much preferred the indoor/outdoor boarding that Cassio offers. In my opinion, fresh air makes for a cleaner, more germ-free environment than the all-indoor facilities. Their rates were also more reasonable than many of the other boarding kennels in this part of CT, with multiple pet discounts, and VIP programs if you spend over $500 or $1000 per year with them (won't be a problem for me!)\r \r Most importantly, my three girls were very well cared for, and came out as happy and clean as when I dropped them off. I will definitely be using Cassio in the future. more

Awful place that has no idea what they're doing 9/28/2010

I took my little Papillon their for two days. I look around and the place looks nice, i see a play yard and i think my dog would like it. But when i come back to get her, it was rainy that day and the day before and my poor puppy comes out WET. i thought they kept small dogs inside. She was whining and shivering and just a big mess. We pay and leave. When we get back home, she can barely make it up the steps from the basement to the main floor. That's when i see that she's limping! She can't put her right leg down for a second! We quickly rush her to the vet and the vet says that she sprained her hip, but the vet isn't to sure how. So my theory is that the kennel employees did take her out to play (for 15 minutes and for and extra $10!) but they have no clue how to play with a small dog, and hurt her while playing. My poor dog couldn't play or do anything dogish for a week! more

Nancy M. 4/23/2010

Nancy - \r 1) Please be so kind as to tell us the name of the kennel you now own. I would like to permanently avoid that place.\r \r 2) Some friendly advice from Stew Leonard's that you would be better off to follow:\r "Rule #1 -- The Customer is Always Right"; Rule #2 - If the Customer is Ever Wrong, Re-Read Rule #1." more

Will never go there again... 4/24/2009

Like one of the reviewers above, i was on my way back from the airport stuck in traffic no less than 10 min from the Kennel. I called them to let them know i would be 10 min late. They would not let me take my dog home, and would not let me speak with the owner of the Kennels. \r \r Despite this, i took my dog back one last time when i had to go on business. Needless to say my dog came back with Kennel Cough, though he had been properly vaccinated. My vet told me that was most likely b/c of the stagnant air in the kennel. \r \r I now go to a Kennel in wilton and though it is more expensive & 30 min out of my way i feel comfortable leaving my dog with them, in an open air environment where they dont charge me $10 to let me dog out for 15 min a day more

Keith K needs to grow up 3/29/2009

I was a former employee of this business and now own my own boarding kennel, and I can state with authority that the Keith's of this world are the bane of the kennel owner's existence. There is no acknowledgement that the people who staff a kennel are entitled to a life of their own or might want to get home to be with the dogs they love. It is all about Keith, who probably set a great example for his children in the frantic life or death struggle to check his pet out that night. Such drama!Get over yourself!! Businesses have hours, people have lives, so your dogs spent one more night. What matters is the quality of the care your pets received. If someone gets short with you because you are saying your needs outweigh the guidelines of running their business then hire a pet sitter next time and your dog will be at home when you get there. I am sure a kennel owner someplace will be relieved not to have to face you and your lack of appropriate boundaries again. And imagine the brats you m more

Top Notch Care & Service 2/18/2009

Not sure what happened to the other guy, but I just left my dogs there and it was the BEST place I have ever left them. The facility and grounds were immaculate. The staff was VERY knowledgeable and incredibly friendly. \r \r On top of that, my dogs were treated by the staff as if they were their own. y dogs were happy when we arrived and happy when they left. They were keep in great condition (I have a pomeranian who requires frequent brushing).\r \r I have recommended Cassio Kennels to many of my friends and colleagues.\r \r Keep up the great work and excellent service! more

Poor Customer Service 1/26/2009

Cassio Kennels is a good place to keep your dog if you don't regard your dog as a member of the family. On a recent long weekend, we kept both our dogs there for two nights. On the way to pick them up we knew we were going to be about 9 minutes late. So with kids crying in the back seat because they won't see their dogs, we called Cassio to let them know we would be 9 minutes late. The manager absolutely refused to stay to let us pick up our dogs! She said they had a "strict policy". Given this place is not exactly cheap, I would expect a much better attitude towards customers. We are spending our money somewhere else.\r \r Update: We have tried Wags Doggie Daycamp about half a dozen times now and the service is fantastic. more

Training and boarding 1/30/2008

We have taken our dog here for training classes and boarding. The training classes are very good training and socialization for the dog and help owners with their puppy. Our dog also LOVED the agility classes.\r With boarding, it can be noisy, but for only $2 a session, a staff member will take your dog outside and play with them for an hour. They have many fenced in areas so your dig will get plenty of outside/ leg room time. more

For both boarding and training 1/14/2008

We have taken our dog to Cassio for both the training and for boarding. The training classes were a fairly large group but that was also good socialization. The instructor seemed to me a little stern, but definitely got the point across. Parking is difficult if you get there late.\r \r My dog went happily for boarding the first time but not the second. I believe this was just because our dog is not used to the noise level. I believe he received good care while there and I paid for additional playtime for him. The rates for boarding are very reasonable. more
