Best

Nice Italian Chain Restaurant. The Chicken Marsala is very good. Their Bread is great, and their Cesar Salad is always good. Friendly waiters. Double drinks during Happy Hour....

Worst

I found Carrabas to be overpriced and skimpy on portions. Food quality was only fair. The service was good. I would recommend it only on atmosphere and service, not food quality or...

Still Good 12/14/2013

READ BETWEEN THE LINES ON THESE REVIEWS...... 2/20/2009

I have read all of these reviews. Its funny, actually. Of all of the complaints I read on Carrabas the one that REALLY tell me how this restaurant really is was about it being crowded and how long the wait it. That alone should tell you that a place that is ALWAYS busy and has long lines must be doing something right. Sure maybe they are a chain and maybe this isnt like the mom and pop Italian imigrant cafe at the plaza, but what do you expect? Considering that most families buy a can of sauce and boil noodles and call it ""Italian Food"" Carrabas is many notches above that. This is casual american dining with an Italian flair. You want authentico, find a hole in the wall run by Italian natives, but if you want a well rounded place that EVERYONE in the family can enjoy, then go to Carrabas. The food is consistant, flavorful, and best of all FRESH. Go in and see why people will wait in line to eat there.... Pros: Good fresh food, fast service, and alot of smiles. Cons: Not run by Italian natives and the long lines......lol more

Only went once! 1/20/2009

Italian fast food at its worst. Our server thought he was fantastic, it was so funny to see someone thinking so much of himself, whilst working in a terrible example of an Italian Restaurant. This really was the Italian equivalent of Applebee's!! Pros: If you want below average italian food? Cons: Cheap, cheap, cheap!! more

Nice Italian chain. Good food value. Fun for families, 11/23/2006

Nice Italian Chain Restaurant. The Chicken Marsala is very good. Their Bread is great, and their Cesar Salad is always good. Friendly waiters. Double drinks during Happy Hour. Pros: Nice food for the price. Generous portions. Nice waiters. Fun Atmosphere. Cons: Can be very busy with long waits on weekends. more

CONSISTENCY 4/8/2004

The food prep in not consistent and some items such as the fried calamari are very salty. Service is slow most of the time. Cons: salty food, salty food, salty food more

Just another Chain 1/20/2004

Come On! Real Italian. How about just another crowded chain restaurant. At least when I visit an area I would like to experience local charm and culture. If you want the same meal that you get at any of the other Carraba's by all means eat here. Pros: Consistent Cons: Crowded, Bland more

Very Good 11/7/2003

Everything we've ordered so far has been very good. The food always tastes so fresh. I especially love the ""Potato Crusted Sea Bass -- it's fantastic! This may be the best Italian chain restaurant in the land! Pros: Service, Food, Ambiance Cons: Crowded, Pricey But Affordable more

can't go wrong 2/7/2003

Probably the BEST value for your tastebuds and dollar in their market nitch. NEVER EVER had a bad meal a Carrabbas! Pros: great food, great service, great valve Cons: start reservations, long wait, start reservations more

apetito robusto 2/7/2003

friendly service, the absolute finest ingredients and the know how to plate all the components to perfection. growing up in the food distribution business i vowed never to enjoy a national chain type of restaurant, carrabba's changed all that. Pros: taste of food, potion size, price Cons: parking, crowded more

I cannot eat another bite!!! 1/30/2003

have been pleased with the quantity, quality, and atmosphere of Carrabba's Italian grill. Love there breads, and ceasar salad. Have never had dessert,do to the amount of food given a person to eat. The prices are reasonable also. Cons: crowed more

Overpriced,skimpy on portions 1/29/2003

I found Carrabas to be overpriced and skimpy on portions. Food quality was only fair. The service was good. I would recommend it only on atmosphere and service, not food quality or value. Pros: atmosphere, service Cons: skimpy portions, fair food quality, overpriced more

Good food! 1/14/2003

We eat in the one on Tyrone Blvd in St. Petersburg and also have tried others. Always good food. Great mussels, fish specials. It can get a little pricey. Before 7 P.M. is happy hour 2 for one at your table...have fun. Pros: good food Cons: want bigger menu more

Not like Mama's 1/2/2003

Service is great, but food leaves alot to be desired. Ok for a chain, but I prefer my Italian food to be authentic, not from a chain. more

Our favorite 1/2/2003

Best Italian around. Love all dishes and the service is great more

Carrabba's/Always something to take home 12/26/2002

When I saw that Carrabba's had finally been voted as one of the best Italian restaurants, I said to myself ""It's about time"".Forget about the fact that they are a chain of restaurants, it is wonderful food! I love their Chicken Trio(not on the menu you have to ask for it) I get it EVERYTIME I go and so does my fiance'. It's Chicken Marsala, Pollo Rosa Maria, & Chicken Bryan. Salads are always fresh on cold plates, bread is always warm, good w/the olive oil/spice mixture. It's my choice above all the rest!! Pros: Convenience, Inexpensive, Menu Variety Cons: Wait on Weekends, NONE, NONE more

Unmet Expectations 12/24/2002

From the homey ads that are run on TV, we expected a very different type of resturant . What we found was a typical chain resturant that prepared a sauce that was bland and the pasta a little mushy. This was too bad as we were entertaining out of state guests. We will not visit again. Cons: lack of parking, it's a chain, too noisy more

best for thebest. 12/2/2002

the owners are great&friendly good food&good service.parking could be better. more

Close, but no cigar 11/23/2002

A bit pricy and a limited menu of Pasta. The food is very good but not the best available in the St. Pete area. Pros: Parking, Service, Ambience Cons: Expensive, Crowded, Limited menu more
