Convenient location, friendly customer service. 5/2/2013

I had an air conditioning problem. Carmine's Import Service had to order two parts. They came and replaced them. It was done within the time window they had specified. Everything seems to be working fine so far. more

Carmine's Import Service is #1 in my book. 4/29/2013

I started using Carmine's Import Service one or two years ago. For every visit, it's done right the first time. He never makes unnecessary repairs. If there is a delay, he informs you of it. If you're trying to save money, he's very amenable to that as well. They entire team is courteous, professional, warm and welcoming. more

They look out for their customers. 4/26/2013

I have taken my car to Carmine's Import Service on different occasions. The first time I went in there, I was having problems with the power steering on my Mercedes. They informed me that Mercedes had a recall and that I should take my car to the Mercedes dealer instead. They saved me some money that time, by telling me about the recall. The last time I was in there, they worked on my air conditioner, changed the oil tank, and put in new windshield wipers. They did a very good job on everything. Overall, I have had a very positive experience with them. more

Carmine's is a goldmine. 4/25/2013

I had issues with my power windows and gas gauge not working. Carmine's Import Service put in a module to fix the electronic issue. They did such a good job that I took my car back later to get more work done. He gave me an estimate and also a loaner car. This was very helpful. more

Amazingly Different 4/24/2013

Backstory: New to me BMW 740iL started blowing smoke on startup while traveling for work. Not knowing the area, I searched for import mechanics and Carmine's was on the map. Website looked attractive so I called them up and scheduled an appointment for next day. Shop was clean and in order and I was greeted with a smile. Carmine sat and listened to my issues and concerns as I wanted everything looked at as well as the smoking on start fixed. He offered a courtacy car, but I had a rental. He called me the next day and ran down the list of items I wanted looked at with his list of recommendations and findings. Then he went through the list, giving ranks of immediate concerns to "need to look at in the near future" with recommended areas to save money or use the labor hours more efficiently. It was truely great service and I wish Carmine could have a shop in Wilmington, NC to be my local mechanic. Thanks for everything, the car is running great. more

Carmine's is an excellent and cheap alternative to other major repair shops. 4/22/2013

Before coming to Carmine's Import Service, I went to the dealership but that got too expensive. I went to another local shop but the quality was bad. I found Carmine's online and I haven't gone anywhere else since. I use them regularly for everything. I strongly recommend Carmine's Import Service to friends, especially when they have foreign cars. It takes me about half an hour to get there but that's how important it is for me to go to them. They do a good job and are very fast. They do a better job at a cheaper rate. more

Looking for thorough inspection? Look elsewhere. 4/18/2013

I initially thought Carmine's Import Service did a great job. I had called him about an auto expense inspection for a car I was buying. We agreed on a report over the phone and at first, I thought it was great. But it turns out it was not very descriptive. There were things he told me on the phone that were not included in the report so I had to communicate that to the dealer from memory. There were just check boxes which was not descriptive. Then when I got to the dealership, I found out that the DVD entertainment system didn't work. It was something he overlooked. I had a big argument with the dealer, ended up losing money on the purchase and almost walked away from the vehicle. I didn't pay for an inspection to find a surprise. That was his job. more

Fixed my used car in a lasting way 4/17/2013

Carmine's Import Service has done a number of things for me. I bought a used car which ended up having a lot of problems with it. Carmine's was able to go in and find the really hidden problematic issues with their great diagnostic skills. They got me a great price and really fixed the issues in a lasting way. Can't say enough good things about them. more

Always professional 4/12/2013

They are great people at Carmine's Import Service. When we moved here we were very fortunate to find somebody so knowledgeable. We have 3 cars and they all get services there. From replacing big parts, to oil changes, to any kind of service we have them do all major fixes and maintenance on our cars. My mother takes her car there too now. You won't be sorry if you go there! more

Hometown quality service at a reasonable price. 2/21/2013

I own a ten year old station wagon that I bought a few years ago from a one time owner. I was taking the car to the dealership for service. One day, I stumbled across Carmine's Import Service and took my car in on a whim. I've been coming back ever since. Carmine's always gets me in and out in a very timely manner. They point things out to me that they recommend I keep an eye on for future repairs. But they never press me to have it done right away if it isn't urgent. Their prices are reasonable and fair. We have no complaints. We have started taking my wife's Mini Cooper there as well and have recommended them to others. Altogether, it's a top-notch service. more

Reasonable alternative to BMW dealer 2/6/2013

I like Carmine's Import Service because they've been somewhat fair in negotiating price differences. They have also been very good about loaning my cars or providing me rides when my car is being repaired. Currently, my car is in their shop for the fourth time with the same problem and they haven't been able to figure it out. That lowered my ratings a bit. more

I have been using Carmine's Import Service for the past year. They have done a few things for me in that time, including the installation of a new suspension system in my car. I recommend them at the highest. They are very good. more

Great service, customer service and follow up concept that Carmine's offers. They call you by name, take care of the situation, super clean lobby, prices are much more competitive than the dealership. Once again, great service and I am happy! Keep up the good work! more
