Worst

I should have called before boarding my two cats! They do not notify you what the rates are to board, they use the philosophy "" that you should have asked, if you wanted to know"...

The best vet in Suffolk! 9/28/2008

This is the best vet is Suffolk. The vet will take the time to get to know and love your pet. He is honest and kind. I would say he is the type of doctor I would pick for any pet I loved dearly. Easy to get in to see. Very compassionate. more

professional and caring 6/17/2008

I have had dogs going to this vet since 2005 and have never had a problem. When one of my dogs passed, they were the most compassionate and caring people ever. I do feel they are a bit on the epensive side, but when you are talking about the care of your babies, you want the best and are willing to pay for it. You can take your pets here and fell good about it. Pros: Well manered, experienced staff Cons: Price more

Not Recommended 8/28/2007

I should have called before boarding my two cats! They do not notify you what the rates are to board, they use the philosophy "" that you should have asked, if you wanted to know"". We boarded our cat in 2005 and the cost was $7.50 a night. \r I was to shocked to get a bill for $324.00 for 9 days of boarding for the 2 cats! The staff was very snobbish and really didn't care that we had a problem with the bill. The sad part is we have used this vet for the last 10 years and we will be looking elsewhere after this! Pros: local Cons: cost/stuck-up staff/ more

Warning! 8/12/2005

We had several bad experiences at this Vet! First, we had our dog neutered while we were out of town. They decided to use an Elizabithan collar to keep him from licking his wounds, but they never changed it and his neck got infected when drool pooled around his neck and the collar was cutting into his skin. They decided to treat his open wounds (which they caused) with expensive antibiotics and NEVER CALLED US to inform us that anything had happened!!!! We were not told of anything until the 7th day and were charged for multiple procedures and medicines. In a second experience, he came home with a Urinary Tract Infection and they charged us for this medicine too!!! They staff behind the desk are unprofessional and unhelpful. They charge you for all of their mistakes and refuse to take any responsibility for anything that happens to your pet. Pros: Convenience Cons: Not professional, Refuse responsibility more

Nansemond Veterinary Clinic Cares About Your Pets 6/5/2005

I have two cats who I love dearly. One of them is getting older and is significantly overweight. I was concerned about his health and so took him to Nansemond Veterinary Clinic for his shots and an exam. The veterinarian I encountered was very friendly and calm and had a very kind demeanor. My cat did not find her intimidating. She was very soothing, talking to him all the while. She seemed very knowledgeable, and did not seem to be in some huge rush like other vets I have been to. Costs for care are expensive, but as with any healthcare, that is to be expected. Nansemond Veterinary Clinic is housed in a new building, and it appears that the rooms and building are kept very clean. In fact, it was exceptionally clean for a vet. I feel that my cat received excellent care at this vet, and I will certainly take him back. PROS: Helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly CONS: none more
