Comme Ci Comme Ca, just so-so. If you want to have a drink at a nice bar then I highly recommend. Or if you just want to go to a place that has great service and a beautiful setting then go here. Good drinks, excellent service, and a beautiful setting is all the Capital Grille has to offer. If you know what good food is and that is what you want, then do not go here. It probably does well in Colorado because no one here knows what good food is. The food is below average. There is a huge wine selection and smoking is allowed, but the food is awful, especially for the price. Pros: Huge wine selection, Beautiful setting, Excellent service Cons: Overpriced, Medicocre Food more

Kona Coffee Rubbed Steak 2/28/2006

Best steak in Denver- hands down. I went there with my family and everyone ordered something different. I ordered the filet with a Kona Coffee dry rub. Everyone at our table commented that my steak was the best steak they ever had. It was cooked to perfection and each entree at our table was fantastic. The chive seared salmon was delicious, as were the side items and the salads. The service was fantastic and even when my husband went there for his bachelor party, he had the same exemplary service. This is the perfect place to take a steak lover. Pros: Steak!, Service, Atmosphere Cons: Price, Parking more

Top notch steaks and great wine list 11/3/2005

If you eat steak, get the kona crusted filet. One of the best I've had. A lively fun place, friendly service, classy. I happened to dine with a great group which definitely enhances the experience. PROS: Good atmosphere, great steaks, wine selection CONS: A bit loud so perfect for groups not dates. more

Amazing! The waiter actually went over every item on the menu individually explained all of the details, recommendations, and even compared and contrasted the dishes. I got the raspberry infused filet (tasty & unique) and my girlfriend ordered the porcini delmonico. Both were ordered medium rare and were cooked flawlessly. Both steaks were massive and were priced comparable if not even a little lower than other nice steakhouses in the area. While my filet was wonderful, the porcini delmonico was quite possibly the best steak either of us have ever had, period! Side dishes were also very solid and we found the grille's take on our favorites (spinach and au gratin potatoes) were also flawless. What's really nice is that the restaurant is divided into several rooms so that noise is kept reasonable. The decor is nice and the atmosphere is probably the most romantic I've seen in Denver. It's easy to see why the power-lunch steak crowd likes the Capital Grill. The decor is inviting and service is top-notch. The menu offers pretty straight forward steak & seafood items. All are well prepared and flavorful, but no avante-garde cuisine here. The split pea soup is excellent, the special "stew" of the day (a sirloin, mushroom & onion dish in a rich brandy cream sauce) was very good, but very rich. The wine list is extensive but features very few options under $30. Lunch for 6 came to $350. In summary, this is a good steak house but come prepared shell out a little more than you might expect. Pros: Free Valet, Interesting Wines, Good Steaks more
