Best

I?ve been to the Capital Grille for special occasions, business lunches or for a nice cocktail on a week/weekend night. The ambiance is classy but not stuffy and I?ve always been...

Worst

The wait staff lures me back but the manger was irrelevant, pretentious and showy. I hope to see a more relevant and sincere management team here. Traditional American Steak Ho...

Best service and food 7/22/2007

We had a family dinner at this restaurant and were impressed by the staff and their willingness to go above and beyond to make our evening un-forgettable. When we realized we forgot a camera, one of the stuff members ran out to get us a disposable camera. Our food was superb. Pros: Great food, outstanding service Cons: Downtown Parking (I just need to put something here, right?) more

What a great place! 11/30/2006

I have now eaten here a few times and the food has been amazing. The service has been a little up and down but still pretty good even when it was not so good. Everything was explained well and all the food came as it was supposed to be prepared. We have always made reservations and have been promptly seated which is a plus. I would recommend this place to anyone as a definite destination for a top quality steak in the Denver area. Pros: Top quality ingredients Cons: Can be noisy more

Steaks bad......restaurant over-rated 11/4/2006

We have lived in Denver for a year and have read about the Capital Grille and their aged steaks. We had some friends in from Tucson and they wanted a greak steak before the Avalanche game. We were greeted promptly by a friendly hostess, seated immediately as there were only two patrons in the entire restaurant and they were sitting at the bar. Cutting to the chase, the service was poor, the steaks were not cooked to our specifications and were sent back to be re-cooked. Once they were brought back the second time....they were dry and could not be eaten. Did I mention we were there forever......and a day? Our friends left disappointed and hungry. Thank goodness for the many options for food at the Av's game. Pros: Beautiful restaurant Cons: High priced...low steak quailty more

Excellent, any way you look at it. 10/26/2006

I went with my mother-in-law for lunch and we were treated like royalty. They changed our table linens from white to black (as I was wearing a black outfit). Service was prefessional, attentive and prompt. The food was amazing and well worth the price tag (lunch for 2 with soups and dessert was $120). Will definitely return again and again. Pros: everything Cons: nothing more

Outstanding experience 9/30/2006

This is by far the best restaurant I've ever been too, across the country. Friendly, motivated staff combined with exceptional service and complimentary valet make this a sure thing when I want to entertain visitors to Denver. This restaurant thinks of everything, from bringing your car up as you are finishing desert to even placing your leftovers in the back seat for you so you don't forget them. Excellent food is experiences by my entire party each time I've visited (5 thus far). The staff is wonderful as they happily cater to your every request and provide complementary dessert should you be celebrating any occasion! Pros: Free valet, accomodating staff` Cons: None that I can think of! more

SO-SO food. 9/28/2006

I went there last night to cleberate my anniversary with my boyfriend. We were really disapointed. The service was great...in fact if it wasn't for the service we would have been completely and totally disapointed. I ordered a filet and specified medium to medium well...Anyone that knows filets knows that if you're going to cook it a little more butterflying is the best bet..the outside was really good but the middle looked almost rare and I was gagging on my steak...for 40 dollars I don't want to be gagging. My BF ordered the Kona sirloin also medium and he's came out rare-med rare he sent his back and the outside was fine but the middle was still a little to rare. After complaining once we didn't want to complain again so we just got boxes so we can grill it a little bit more. The Chocolate hazelnut cake was great though. The service was great, the food not so much. Pros: great service Cons: parking, food, quality more

Comme Ci Comme Ca, just so-so. If you want to have a drink at a nice bar then I highly recommend. Or if you just want to go to a place that has great service and a beautiful setting then go here. Good drinks, excellent service, and a beautiful setting is all the Capital Grille has to offer. If you know what good food is and that is what you want, then do not go here. It probably does well in Colorado because no one here knows what good food is. The food is below average. There is a huge wine selection and smoking is allowed, but the food is awful, especially for the price. Pros: Huge wine selection, Beautiful setting, Excellent service Cons: Overpriced, Medicocre Food more
