The whole package! Not only does my hair look great after I walk out of Capellini Salon, but it looks great after my cut too! I have had a cut from more than one of the ""artists"" at Capellini and I always love my hair cut each time. Also, I just love being there! I feel welcome, happy and pampered every visit! more

I just had my second haircut at Capellini's with Michelle. After the my first haircut with Michelle, I received non-stop compliments so I didn't think I could possibly have the same kind of reactions from people after the second haircut, but I did. The first came out fantastic. Not only did people compliment it right and left, but I actually had a parent at the school where it teach say that all the kids were talking about how great my haircut was and that she agreed! Then, Michelle gave me my second haircut, listening carefully to what I was interested in and giving me suggestions and ideas, which I loved and decided to go with. She was absolutely meticulous with her haircut. The proof came today when the first person aside from my family who saw it said, ""Wow what a great haircut! It makes you look 20 years younger!"" Not only did I get a great haircut both times, but the owners and people who worked there were so pleasant. It was really more like going to a gathering of friends and getting pampered than going to get a typical haircut. more

Capellini Salon is one of the rarest of salons where from the moment I walk into the salon I am greeted with genuine warmth and hospitality. There is a gentle yet enthusiastic atmosphere and my cuts and color\r are consistently superb. I would recommend Capellini\r Salon for anyone wanting a terrific cut in a relaxing,\r spa-like setting. I very rarely contribute a review on-line, but my experience with Capellini was bad enough to warrant one. If you do not mind going to a salon that breaks/changes appointments with little notice and a hairdresser who ignores your stated desires and does what she (Suzanne) wants, Capellini Salon may be for you. more

I've been to many upscale salons in my time, but none has matched Capellini for all around excellence. Suzanne is by far the most talented and intelligent stylist I've ever known. Because of her expertise and caring, my hair has never looked better. The location is great, the decor is lovely, the customer service sets the standard and everyone at Capellini is smart, funny, and kind.This is one great salon. We are so lucky to have it in our area. more

Not only do you get a great hair cut every time, but you're treated as one of the family. This is an example of what American small business owners should strive to be like. All of the people working there are great and they will go out of their way to ensure you have a great experience. I've lived in NH, MA, and CT and this place is by far the best salon I've ever had the pleasure of going to. I highly recommend this place if you're tired of those ""mass production"" hair cutterys where their only goal is to get you out of there as soon as possible to make way for the next victim. Yes, we do make an effort to know the names of our guests. Yes, we do send thank you notes to our 1st time clients. And yes, until we run out, we give to our new customers the holiday gifts that we gave to our existing clients. You call it marketing. We call it our minimum customer service. We guarantee that all of our services (including customer service) is better than you have experienced in any other hair salon. We do this by employing only skilled and talented artists who love people as well as their art. Our haircuts range from fifty to one hundred dollars depending upon the stylist. Salons of our caliber do not and cannot charge $17.00 to $33.00 for a haircut. While no salon is for everyone, Capellini Salon is for discerning clients who know and expect the difference. the marketing of this clean, up-beat salon is the best I've come across in my career!....the skills of marketing unforunately can't come close to the skills of hair styling, cutting, etc.\r Reese will very successfully try to sell Suzanne as a expert sytlist better than New York or Boston, LA., etc..all stylists will learn your name so that you will feel wonderful when you walk in-they will shower you with compliments, beverages, cookies, and give little gifts of appreciation for their 3 times high fees as any other salon around (very high)-and then send you a note thanking you for your business-marketing at their best.\r What about the actual haircut, color and other treatments? they are not any better than the local cost cutters at a fraction of Cappellini's price. If you need to be marketed and convinced how wonderful you are and how they are better than anyone else around then this is your place to foolishly spend your hard-earned money. more

I have been living in West Hartford for a few months and have tried several salons. My hair is short so I need a cut and color about every 4 weeks. A friend suggested Calellini Salon after I had some bad experiences and my hair looks fantastic. Reese welcomed me the minute I walked in, took my coat and offered me everything from hot chocolate to wine. When I sat down, Suzanne listened to my concerns and needs for almost 10 minutes before she gave me her input! She literally studied my hair and asked me questions concerning my past dye jobs. This was serious business! I had my hair dyed and highlighted and it took under two hours! I continued to be offered chocolate truffles in their very upscale and professional salon. I was overwhelmed by their genuine kindness and will be back in 4 weeks for a fabulous experience. Thanks Capellini Salon! more

After moving to W.Hartford from Boston a year ago, I had trouble finding any salon that could compare with my old one in Boston. Finally, my neighbor referred me to Suzanne at Capellini Salon! I have long (mid-back)highlighted wavy hair. Suzanne has cut and highlighted my hair twice now. My hair has NEVER looked better...healthy, beautiful movement, and gorgeous color! As far as customer service... perfection. I LOVE everyone there! Truly, an amazing experience in an amazing place with amazing results more

Great people and make you feel a part of their family, but when you leave messages it takes days to return calls and on some occassions they are never returned. Also, you have to stress how you want you hair cut or Suzanne will cut shorter then you like. more

I moved to West Hartford 3 years ago and naturally started my search for a new salon. I went through 4 salons until I saw someone in the supermarket with a fantastic haircut. Naturally, I stopped her and asked where she got her haircut. She of course referred me to Capellini's salon. I have to say that it is, hands down, the best salon I have been to. I searched and searched and found the one that I am sticking with. My hair is a bit difficult, which is why with each of my many moves, I always have a hard time finding truly excellent and skilled stylists. Trust me when I say if you book an appointment you will be thrilled!. All of the stylists there are, simply put, excellent. The bonus is that all the owners and all the staff there are very nice. You walk through the doors and you become one of the family. I highly recommend Capellini's. You will not be disappointed. more

I am a pretty typical guy, fussy about the way I look but not prissy. I have paid as little as 12 dollars for a haircut locally and have paid as much as 100 dollars in New York. I have had all kinds of cuts, good and bad and whenever I have found a cutter that I like, the consistency seems to vary until I return to square one, and I have been blamed for this by some cutters, saying my hair is too baby fine, or the greys have a mind of their own, etc. \r But looking on the web and talking to local people brought me to Capellini's. I was skeptical at first, reading many reviews talking about how friendly and competent the staff was and how folks were treated like family in a good way, but I remained skeptical and made an appointment with Claire. I was ready for the same excuses for a poor cut, but instead was treated with respect. The stylist asked me for input and LISTENED to what I had to say.I could go on for days about the cut and treatment I received, but I will just say that I received the best hairstyle of my life, and have repeated this experience with an even more excellent result ( I thought THAT was impossible!). I even opted for just a touch of color on the next visit and the result was natural and brought the perfect cut to an even better level. I have found a home at Capellini's. I look forward to seeing Claire and Reese (co-owner)as well as all the others who genuinely made me feel welcome, and who have made this stressful part of my life a pleasure to have done and look forward to. I truly feel fortunate to now be connected to such nice people who have such pride and skill in their work that their enthusiasm is contagious. I had such a great experience there. Everyone there was so nice. Love that they have cookies and drinks for clients. Rachel cut my hair and she did an awesome job. I love my cut and have gotten lots of compliments on it. I have really thick hair and she really took her time and cut it exactly how I wanted it! I was looking for a salon and went on the internet to see what salons were in W. Hartford (I'm new to the area). Capellini got wonderful reviews so I decided to give them a call. From my first conversation with Reese - who seemed genuinely interested in responding to my needs - to an extraordinary welcome by everyone at the salon, I knew I was in good hands and felt as if I was a longtime client and friend. My first appointment was with Rachael for a cut and she was awesome! She was warm and engaging and listened. She found my hair challenges without any help from me and gave me a great cut. So much so, that I went back the next week for color. Again, I had two issues that bothered me and Rachael discussed my options and I walked out as happy as could be - new haircut, new color and a new salon and stylist to call home! It was apparent that Reese, Rachael, Suzanne and Claire have tremendous pride in their business and want to create and give their clients a complete salon experience. From the minute you step through their front door you are welcomed as a friend. Even the clients who were waiting for services were nice! P.S.
