I went to Capelli for the first time yesterday. I got extensions for the first time as well. They turned out so beautiful. I could not be any happier! I would never second guess that they are even extensions. They look and feel incredibly natural. I am obsessed with my hair now!!!\r more

Best Color, Style & Ambiance! I was getting ready for a much-needed Vegas trip and needed a new look! I brought a magazine photo to Younes, we exchanged some ideas of what will and won?t work for me and he went to work with it. I was a little nervous as always, but was beaming when my hair came out absolutely gorgeous! I went from brown hair to golden glowing locks with additional glossy sleek blonde highlights. Not to mention the blow dry & style on my very course hair lasted throughout 5 days! Younes is professional; he?s friendly and fun at the same time! He is definitely someone you look forward to visiting for great hair + conversation! :) more

Thank you Anna for always doing an exquisite job on my hair! I found this salon through Groupon, and randomly ended up with Anna. Lets just say I've never been more pleased with my hair! Anna stresses the importance of keeping hair healthy while doing any color methods. She's truly very talented and I recommend her to everyone! more

The best colorist and the best color i have had in years.... i have been going to a salon uptown for many years, Until my friend mentioned Younes @ capellisalon. My co worker came into work two weeks ago and her hair looked the best I have ever seen it look. She told me, ""you have to go to Younes he is great."" Although it was hard to get out of my comfort zone, I gave it a try, and I must say Younes is a fantastic colorist. more

Was prompted to write this review to thank Younus for his careful attention to making my hair color (light blonde with highlights) the best it's ever been when I was asked (again!) who does my color? No one ever asked me that before going to Younus, but now I receive compliments often. I have followed him from the salon he previously worked to his own salon Capelli. But, I'd follow Younus anywhere, hands down the best and the atmosphere is really relaxing! more

Younes is a true hair color master!!! 2/20/2012

I've seen some of the best hair colorists in Nyc and Dallas over the last 20 years to maintain my blond locks - colorists with whom I've been extremely happy - but Younes is the best BY FAR. I'm 100% satisfied with his work every time. He's a true artist with a ""less is more"" approach. He's also a perfectionist (like I am), who pays close attention to each and every strand of hair he touches, giving his clients the most beautiful, natural results. He's simply the best. I feel very fortunate to have found him. more

Fantastic colorist 2/14/2012

After years of bad experiences at many of the supposed ""best"" and certainly the most expensive salons, I finally discoved Younes Ounzar. A friend had a beautiful buttery blond color so I asked for her colorist, who was Younes. I'm brunette with highlights & lowlights and consistently get compliments. No orange color, no ashiness just perfect all the time. I referred several friends to Younes who are all as pleased as i am. BD more

Shifty, rude hustler 12/13/2011

Younse, the guy at the front desk, who said he was the owner, was soooo rude. I will never set foot in such hostile salon again. He was very shifty and defensive when I asked questions about a product or service in detail. He was like a market huckster from a foreign land assuring you his salon is best, but when you ask about quality or try to pin down the price, he becomes rude and shoos you away. Horrible man! more

Wont be back 11/3/2011

I called to schedule an appt. last week from a special I saw on Groupon which incl. framing highlights, cut and style/blowdry for $70. I didnt have alot of money to spend so I thought I would try them out. After looking at my hair Younes said that it would be a ""little"" extra for the blowdry since I have curly hair in the back...I said ok...upon checking out the girl at the desk informs me that its $100. I told her I thought it was supposed to be $70 and she said yes plus a ""little' extra for the blowdry...really??? $5-10 is a little extra $30 is not a special its a hustle. Hopefully, they have plenty of customers and dont need any new business. more

i went there last week, i work just five minutes away so i scheduled my appointment during my lunch hour... they were really slow. i had to wait a really long time before they started on me, 30minutes after my appointment he started on my hair. i might not be going back, it was too small and not busy enough to be running so behind on scheduled appointments. more

Definetely 5 Stars! I love my hair!! It's Gorgeous!! I love it!!! Thank you Gino! You are the Master!! --I went from super dark hair to JLO hair :) No, really! When I sat in Gino's chair, he asked, ""What are we doing to you?"" I opened my iphone and showed him a picture of Jennifer Lopez. And he knew exatly what to do! He started to tell me what he was gonna do, highlights, color...I was like, ""You do whatever, Gino!"" .....few hours later....I gotta admit, I look better than JLO! ;-) Ha!! No, for real, my hair does look amazing. Gino cut my hair into long layers, with caramel highlights...perfect for summer. I love it! more

karetin hair treatment 10/4/2010

Gino has been my hairdresser for 10 years, and recentl y he advised me to try the Keratin treatment--what a difference ! My hair is very wavy and frizzy-this treatment has strenthend ,toned,and glorified my hair! I totally recommeded it for anyone who has ""issues"" with frizziness-and Gino is so knowledgable with any type of hair. Please --you must have this treatment-you will not be disappointed! more

The most horrible experience 7/24/2010

Hi everyone I am gonna tell you about my experience at the Gino Salon... My husband and I recently moved into town and we wend ahead to try Gino Salon for color and cut for each one of us... What a BAD and HORRIBLE experience we had. Gino did my hair first and for some strange reason he kept going back and forth to the back of the salon, after the cut he started to blow dry my hair and left it half way wet ''as I am sitting down I am getting very frustrated with Gino and the poor service'' then he yells at the poor girl in the front and tells her to finish drying my hair... As you can imagine the result was not good at all and the cut was not even... My husband's hair was shorter on one side more than the other... The prices was definitely NOT worth the service and the final result. They are not professional. Cons: Bad hair cut and horrible customer service more

Just went to Gino Salon for the first time and they were excellent. They are located on the NW corner of Frankford and Preston. The receptionist and the person that washed my hair (an assistant) were very friendly and helpful. Pros: Professional, Friendly, Efficient, Knowledgeable more

Don't Tell - Yes I got Extensions - But NO ONE can tell! 6/25/2010

So I've been going to Gino Salon for about four months now: got my highlights done 3 times, had the Keratin Smoothing/Strenghthening Treatment, and also had a full head of Hair Extensions (I'm totally hooked) put in. Pros: FANTASTIC Customer Service Cons: Absolutely None more

My Fabulous Red Hair 6/22/2010

I've been to Gino's a few times and am thrilled that I have finally found what I'm looking for. The salon is a lovely and relaxing place. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable about various products but not pushy. I will definitely continue to go back to Gino's. Andrew has been my stylist and colorist for a while now. He is the most well versed colorists that I've ever been too. After coloring my hair for over 15 years, I know the difference between good and great. Andrew is the later. Andrew has taken me from red to brunette to blond back to red which is where I'm staying. Andrew gave me the best Debra Messing Red and I adore it. Don't get me started on my cut-its just as fabulous as my color. The best part is that my hair is so healthy because Andrew uses the best (and affordable) products!
