Rosie Rocks!!! 9/3/2007

I wanted to take a moment and share my gratitude for a stylist at Capella Salon, her name is Rosie and she rocks!!! I have had haircuts all over Los Angeles, all the ""top"" salons and cutting edge stylists, and some for upwards of $400.00 a cut (not including color!!!...i know!) Anyways, Rosie is by far right up there with the best of the best and you don't have to pay those crazy prices! She's worth it though and you should tip alot due to the resonable prices for such quality work. She always makes me feel so good about myself, beautiful from the inside out. I am always smiling in her chair, she is always in a good mood and has something to share that is uplifting and positive, which is nice now days in our society. I receommend her to anyone who is looking for a good stylist with amazing skills and such a kind heart. I can't say enough good things about her, I love her and I support her in every way and will always be a fan! Go Rosie!!! Pros: everything! Cons: nothing more

Ask for the ""Color Goddess"" Rosie! 9/2/2007

Excellent vibe all-around here. It's modern (the chair massage when getting your hair washed is amazing) yet unpretentious (no hyper club music blasting over speakers). Easy underground parking and good location too. But the true highlight of this salon is ROSIE. If you are looking for flawless color that nets you a constant stream of compliments, book now!! more

Rosie Rules! Best Hair Color Ever! 9/1/2007

When it comes to color, Rosie's the lady. I love the salon where she is. She has a loft to herself. It's so private and cozy unlike loud, noisy larger salons. I feel completely relaxed and pampered when I visit Rosie at Capella. Somehow, however vague I can be sometimes about what I want, Rosie magically gives it to me! I have never had to have Rosie re-do my hair for ANY reason. Her cuts are great, too. I'm letting my hair grow long now and she continues to give my hair the same attention as if I was getting it cut all the time. I love Rosie! I haven't and won't go anywhere else. Rosie's The Best! 9/1/2007

I'm so glad I found Rosie! I have had my hair done by many through the years, but I have never had anybody so approving, helpful, and agreeable. My hair is sort of hard to manage, long with grey, cold tones with warm, and it means a lot to me to keep it long as I age. Everyone else told me to give up the length, but Rosie has some tricks that makes me able to get the color and style that I want....you know what a big deal that is as you age especially!! Other stylists that I went to tried to talk me into something that wasn't really me, but she knows how to listen, very sensitive. She is also so enthusiastic, and I feel pampered and attended to, she is very resourceful. I so look forward to my visits with her! Pros: Very friendly atmosphere more

Rosie made me feel BEAUTIFUL!!! 8/31/2007

I am new to L.A. and I have been having a really difficult time finding a hairdresser who actually LISTENS to me!!! I feel like I go to a hairdresser, tell them what I want, they pretend to listen to what I say...and then they do what they want anyways! I know that I am a bit older than all the Hollywood starlettes you see in the magazines, but I still count! I was looking for a new look but I still wanted to look my age (give or take a few years)! Every hairdresser I have been to since I moved out to L.A. tries to make me look like a 19 year old and although I hate to admit it...I AM NOT 19!!! I just wanted something that made me feel beautiful and not rediculous! Well, Rosie did it! She REALLY listened to me and did what I wanted...and she didn't make me feel silly for feeling insecure! She also was very upfront and honest. No hard sell and I didn't feel pushed into doing something I didn't want or need! She was pacient and made me feel comfortable. Pros: Always a good time and I leave feeling GREAT! more

In two words: Lisa rocks! Expanding on that: Getting my haircut was nothing I really looked forward to until I found Lisa. She does an amazing job AND she?s incredibly personable and funny. Getting my haircut now is actually fun and I always love the end result. Lisa encouraged me to let go of some remaining midwestern conservativeness ? I knew she had an impressive background in color work, so we starting playing around with highlights. I loved what she did! I?m a long-time client and can tell you - once you find Lisa, you?re done looking for a hair pro! more

From cutting, coloring, styling, what works, products and chill conversation, Sandra D. will have you walking out of the salon looking fabulous as ever. No joke... The compliments I receive from family, friends and random people on the street after I have my hair done by Sandra D. makes me feel good- not only about my hair- but that I have one amazing hair stylist. SANDRA D IS THE BEST 8/26/2007

What can I say about Sandra D besides she is the best!!!!! I began going to her about ten months ago. Walked into the salon not knowing what I wanted, just knowing I needed a change. A few hours later I walked out with a new cut, color, highlights, you know, the works! And I LOVED it!!!!! I go and see her every couple of months and am always happy with her work. She can tell the best color, cut, style, everything for your face shape and personality. She is extremely personable, and always in a great mood. I've taken a friend to her and my friend was thrilled with her new ""look"" as well. I would have to say without a doubt, Sandra D is the best!!!!\r \r Much love! more

The MOST excellent Sandra D ... 8/22/2007

Driving to the Valley has never been MORE worth it to me. Sandra D is the most professional and talented stylists currently working in the LA area. She gives you creative freedom to look great and she adds an extra special experience to your salon day. She is a visual genius. The environment at Capella Salon has only enhanced her talents and makes for an even more enjoyable shampoo (hint massage chairs are the BEST)!\r I love her and I'll never have a need for any other stylist. Pros: Parking is easy and the modern environment inside is refreshing. Cons: The location but its completely worth the drive and I've gotten good at scheduling around traffic :) more

Sandra D is groovalicious! Not only is she a ""REAL"" person deep down inside, but she is also a very talented haristylist. I have followed her from the ""other"" place and drive from Pasadena - she's that good. She has given me the best haircuts evah and her coloring technique is faboo!!!! I was never a girl who paid too much attn to getting her hair done... UNTIL I MET Sandra D. I'll never forget walking down the streets of NY and having 3 different people approach me within a 2 hour span demanding to know where I got my hair done... It was all about Sandra D. I met her at her former salon and will follow her ANYWHERE... I followed Sandra D. to Capella from her former salon, where I had been a loyal customer for over eleven years. Capella is a hip salon as well, but fortunately much more down-to-earth (no attitude, so refreshing!) and Sandra D. is a master colorist. If you want your color to look fabulous but NATURAL, she's your girl. Plus she's a sweet girl with killer style and zero ego. Pros: Sandra D. is there! Good atmosphere, laid-back vibe. more

Sandra D is a great stylist and when she left her former salon, I went to check out Capella. Great room, smaller and more intimate, the vibe at Capella is cool. Ron Spano at Capella Salon is a fantastic stylist. I have been going to Ron for more than 5 years and wouldn't consider going to anyone else. He is professional, talented, and has a wonderful personality that makes you feel so comfortable while at the salon, and his talents make for great hair days after you have left the salon! I love Kristen A. Today I decided to let her be creative with me, I had no idea what I wanted to do with my hair I just knew I had to look stunning because I was seeing my ex-boyfriend whom I haven?t seen in years? Let me just say WOW. She did three different colors of highlights so every time I turn around there is different shimmer and shine. And when I go outside?.. She has a magic hair wand, too bad it doesn?t work for the bikini I have to wear? Pros: I love love my hair more

I LOVE this place! From the minute you walk in the door you're made to feel special. Shani is fabulous, personal one-on-one attention, detailed and a great ambiance too. I have been to so many places to get my haircut but it is nothing like going to Claudia. She does an amazing job on my hair. I go to Lisa and she is amazing. She has been doing my highlights for about 1 year now! I highly recommend her, especially if you are a African -American and you want some really gorgeous highlights. She knows which colors go with all skin tones! People stop me all the time when I am at the gym, grocery store, shopping. They tell me they love my hair and ask me where I get it done. She is the best in the whole salon! and you can even go on Sundays!! more
