Kristy Prentice is Superb! 1/19/2007

Kristy Prentice is fantastic!! She does the best color, and cut for my hair. I had a hard time finding someone who was really good with blondes, and she is amazing!! She also cuts my hair really well for the shape of my face. I am always in a great mood after I leave the salon! As far as her personality is concerned she is really easy to talk to, and she listens to my specific wants, and needs for my hair. She is on top, and really into what she does, and you can tell it makes her happy to make you happy! I highly reccomend Kristy! Pros: Great talent, and highly reasonable! more

Kristen is the best! 1/8/2007

I am new in LA and was searching for a salon on citysearch to entrust my tresses to. I moved here for acting, and I've been through some horrid hair catastrophes, so I am pretty salon shy. When I saw all the great reviews Kristen had, I decided to book with her. She spent a ton of time talking with me to try and figure out what I wanted. I've never had a stylist be that patient. We ended up doing some duo-tone highlights and she gave me a trim. Throughout the entire process we had a great conversation - she has a really fun personality. I was excited about the results, and I swear, I have never gotten so many compliments from men on my hair in my life. One guy (who had never complimented me before) specifically said when he opened the door ""wow, you look beautiful""- and I KNOW it was my hair that that prompted that. Even a guy I'd been dating long distance noticed (and he doesn't notice anything, lol)- but when he came into town weeks later and we met up he commented ""your hair looks amazing- did you do something?""- i know that sounds like a line, but i swear its exactly what he said, lol. Its growing out great, my highlights compliment my skin perfectly and make my hair look great up and down. Kristen is AMAZING!!!! 1/6/2007

Kristen has been cutting and dying my hair for 7 years now! She has seen me through my blonde days, my brunette days, my long haired, and my short haired days. She has seen it all and has been incredible with each of my different styles and needs! I have extremely curly hair and Kristen is a goddess when it comes to curly hair. (I know she is incredible with straight hair too, I've seen her at work!)\r \r I recently moved to Chicago and refuse for anyone else to do my hair but Kristen! Kristy at Capella Salon (Studio City) does the best hair extensions and color! 12/20/2006

I've been a client of Kristy's for the past year. The condition of my hair was pretty bad prior to me going over to Kristy. She was able to color my hair and match the most perfect hair extensions to it. With time, not only did my own hair grow out, but it also improved in texture. The hair extensions actually helped my own hair! \r \r I'm a model, so my hair goes through a lot of styling. Kristy has helped me maintain my hair in good and healthy condition inspite of all the styling that it goes through while doing photo shoots.\r \r The best part, is my extensions. I love them. They look beautiful and natural. I've had my extensions put in by other hair stylists, but they never lasted long enough or looked good. Kristy has done an amazing job with them over and over again! Greatest Men's Haircut! - Kim will always do a superb job. You will never be disappointed! 12/18/2006

I have been going to Kim for around ten years. I always walk away feeling great about my haircut. Kim has excellent skills, a great eye, listens to what you want, and makes excellent suggestions. She is a pro that will make you feel at ease because she knows what she is doing. What's more is she's the coolest person. KRISTY PRENTICE is the BEST!!! 12/17/2006

I've been going to Kristy for a few years now and would never go to anyone else. She does great color, hair cuts, extentions, blowouts, style...everything!!!!! I trust her completely. And on top of being a great hairstylist she's an awesome person very friendly, hip, beautiful and great personality you will definitely not be bored when you're getting your hair done. Worth the trip over the hill LISA Thank you 12/11/2006

I travelled over the hill into the valley, on a recommendation from a friend. My appointment was with Lisa.. and with it came the apprehension of trying a new colorist. I immediately liked Lisa - she was very attentive and listened intently when we discussed what my expectations were. She is a perfectionist and a true artist. I left the studio with exactly how I wanted my hair to look. She clearly understood what I had envisioned. I also loved the studio's ambiance - great staff, great music.. Last but not least - she has a great smile! I'll definitely be following-up with her. LISA thank you, see you in a month. more

WHO'S THE BEST HAIR STYLIST IN LA? KRISTEN ARNHOELTER! 12/8/2006

After going from salon to salon looking for the best I would always leave disappointed in my hair cut. But no longer, I believe I found the best stylist in LA, her name Kristen Arnhoelter. I walked in with long curly uncontrolled hair and left extremely happy with my haircut and color. Kristen really took the time to listen, and really understood what I was looking for in a style and cut. Not only is Kristen an ultra professional she's also very down to earth, friendly, caring, and takes tremendous pride in her work and the clients she's working with. If your like me and want only the best, and are tired of paying for mediocre work. If your looking for someone who is professional, knowledgeable, caring, and will take the time to find your vision, then look no further. Great hair place with the attitude. 12/8/2006

If you are looking for a great place that is hip without being too trendy than this is it. It's easy parking, affordable with lots of options for hairstylists. I totally recommend Kristen Arnhoelter - - she loves color, she LISTENS, she is honest and she's very consciencious. I have been going to see her for a year or so and took my stepdaughter in for a beauty makeover and my Kristen did a fabulous job. My stepdaughter coudn't stop looking at her hair in the mirror and said it was the best cut and color she had ever gotten. I totally recommend this place and this hairstylst. Pros: Parking, cost, skill of the stylist Cons: A little cold in atmospher but they are going through an new facelift early 2007. more

Most beautiful highlights ever-Thanks, Kristen!!! 12/7/2006

I have long dark brown hair that is one length. I have been trying to do something different, and throw some natural looking highlights in my hair for years, but with no luck. No one seemed to get what I really wanted. After going in to see KRISTEN ARNHOELTER, I felt as though she really listened, and took the time to create the exact look that I had in mind. GORGEOUS, natural looking, butterscotch highlights. PERFECT hair at last!!! I was just THRILLED.\r \r She cuts my hair with precision, and it always looks fabulous. She gives me suggestions, but leaves it up to me to make sure I'm getting exactly what I want. I walk out of the salon, feeling happy and BEAUTIFUL;. She is a real artist. Being new to the city and having had a recent colour disaster at another salon, I happened across Capella Salon and immediately fell in love. Lisa is a colour master and had me looking not only human again but absolutely flipping gorgeous, and if that wasn't enough, she was so lovely and friendly that I didn't want to leave. Me and my boyfriend were regular visitors while we lived in the US and since moving back to the UK, we refuse to have our hair looked after by anyone else so are already plannning regular trips back. I cannot recommend the salon highly enough. Go and seec Lisa, you'll be delighted you did. more

Kristy just made my year! i met her at the gym and she suggested some things she could do to my hair, and even though I thought I was satisfied with the same old hair style i always had that people loved, she made me see how beautiful my hair could really be. I lived in New York City for 5 years and could not find a stylist I loved consistently. I've been going to Kristy P now for almost 2 years and never strayed!! And was never even tempted!! She does my color and cut and rocks consistently. I'm now at a point where I just let her do what she wants. I trust her completely and it's always fantastic. And on top of it, she is a generally awesome person. If she ever moves away, I'm totally screwed... and sad. more

Kristen A. is a godsend!!! She took my boring hair and made it beautiful. I got a whole new winter look: a little darker with a select few highlight that just makes my green eyes stand out. I was a little apprehesive to invest in hair exstensions. But a friend reccomended Kristy at Capella Salon in Studio City and it was amazing. I have thin hair with no body and when Kristy was done I felt ten years younger and my husband said my hair looks our first date. I have lived in many larger cities, and have gone to the best salons there are, and all i ever seem to come out with is the same color. \r I am very excited, I just visited Capella salon last week for the !st time, and Lisa did my color for me. I have never felt better. She took my streaky blonde hair and made it look very natural. I want to thank Lisa for doing this for me. I was very hesitant at 1st to let her try something new, for it always ends up the same. She spent 45 min. with me before we even started the service.
