My Wife likes hotels and that is why I go Camping 11/7/2012

Dear Camperrentalusa crew , Just wanted to send a quick note about how much we enjoyed our trip to Colorado, and especially choosing to tour around by RV instead of hotel-ing it. We chose Camperrentalsusa because it was a smaller company and we felt we would get more personalized service, and we did !! From Misty helping with all our reservations and last-minute changes, to Brad's much-appreciated-humor filled instructions on the RV before we left. Everyone at your business was kind and courteous, and didn't seem to mind our dumb questions. Even when we had questions from the road, they were answered. This was our first time renting an RV, and I can assure you, it won't be our last. We truly loved the "self-contained" feeling--like being home, even on vacation. And silly as it sounds, I liked being able to use the restroom without having to stop and find one, and really loved having no access to cable or network TV--our DVD's were just enough to fill the TV need. Our RV was well-stocked with everything we needed, and we were very comfortable--so much so that we hated to leave this beautiful state. I've wanted to explore Colorado for over 30 years, and to finally have the chance and to do it the way we wanted to was better than any other vacation I've taken. The mountains remind me of the ocean, in that you never get tired of looking at them. The places we saw and visited, from beautiful small town Aspen nestled in 360 degree mountains, to the vast openness of Royal Gorge, to the fun spookiness of St. Elmo ghost town, to the "ahhh" Cottonwood Hot Springs, to the splendor of Garden of the Gods, and the "top of the world" feeling from Pikes Peak, all made for a spectacular, well-rounded vacation. We would highly recommend your company and the RV lifestyle for anyone looking to experience their vacation from a different, more personal angle. I consider RVing as "land crusing"--you have to unpack only once and stop in some many different ports. Thanks again for helping to make our Colorado vacation spectacular. WE'LL more

Camper rentals USA ARE A TOTAL RIP OFF, NEVER RENT AN RV With them !!! 11/2/2012

We are a belgian couple who had a brilliant holiday in the US. However, CamperRentalsUSA.com and the dutch owner ERIK are thieves, plain and simple. They did not show up on our return date/location, as we had agreed. Since we had to catch our plane, we had no other option then to leave our RV for their employee to pick it up a couple of hours later. 1 Week passed and they tried to have us pay 175 USD for the costs of filling the gas, (we filled the tank and are 100% sure we did). Not only that, but since we rented 2 bikes with them but they did not provide locks and a pump we agreed with them we would buy those two items and have them pay us back on return.... Now they also refuse to pay these items back. So they ripped us off for 210 USD. The owner Erik never wanted to listen to our story and it is clear that he is just trying to rip us off. Conclusion: NEVER Rent an RV with CamperRentalsUSA.com more

Best Rental company in Ventura County !!!! 10/19/2012

Dear CamperRentalsUSA , We would like to thank you for making our motorhome experience a truly memorable one. A friend told us about CamperRentalsUSA and said that they are reliable and clean. We were so pleased with the rental , the comfort and ease, that we plan on doing this again in the future..First, we would like to thank Erik for our reservation and update. He explained the different rentals to help us decide what we needed and sent us confirmation quickly. We truly appreciate this outstanding service and trust our thanks will be passed directly to him. I would also like to say that we thoroughly enjoyed our trip and the RV, having previously rented more than once from another company. We enjoyed the sense of space and additional conveniences in the 31 ‘’ Coachmen A Class and had no difficulty driving it. I have already recommended CamperRentalsUSA to at least two interested parties and would have no hesitation recommending to anyone interested in this type of vacation. We look forward to our next rental. Thank you again for everything. Kind Regards more

RV Rentals Ventura 10/11/2012

I read a lot of the reviews before I rented from these folks last Friday. My experience was completely positive. Maybe it's because this was the first time I was driving an RV much less renting one. That means I'd read the fine print, watched the videos, and downloaded their rental guide to both my laptop and iPad. Therefore, I had a good feeling what I'd be in for. When I made a reservation using their 800 number, that rep told me to call the Oakland location to confirm when I'd be able to pick the RV up. The girl I spoke to said it would be 4pm the next day. Yikes! That's late, but I'd made my reservation the day before. However, then she said to call in the morning because they might be able to get me in earlier. Sure enough I called and the girl said "can you come in now?" I couldn't right then but I was still able to pick up the RV at 12:30pm. Awesome! I rented a compact RV. It was a newer RV, so it had an aux hookup even though the manual said their RVs didn't. The guy who set me up in the RV said it was a newer one and the manual is a bit out of date. That was good because I use my Android's GPS and usually listen to Pandora radio. If I can plug it in to the aux input it makes my trip pretty seamless. I'm When I got back, I left the supplies that I didn't use. The guy who walked through the checklist with me was detailed and helpful. The girl behind the counter was also informative and let me know when there were add-ons that I didn't need to waste money on. That's nice. When I got back today, I'd gotten a late start from my campsite. So the plan I had to drop my things off at home and drive the RV in didn't happen. Instead, I showed up with an RV still more

Will be back , Thanks for the great motorhome experience!!! 10/11/2012

Pros:simple process, friendly staff, pet-friendly non-smoking fleet Cons: No place for surfboard in 29’’ ,next time we go for big class A diesel pusher The Bottom Line: Camperrentalsusa helped make my vacation a winner . As we get older, we get wiser: months of spending three nights a week in a two-man tent pretty much soured me on extended camping trips, and even the Ms - whose tent it was I wore out in a field season or two - has likewise grown weary of damp ground and stiff muscles in the morning. Really, though, the deciding factor was the dogs - have you ever tried to keep a 95-pound Labrador out of a tent? It's even harder than keeping one in a tent! And if you have two of them, well... All this means that back- and tent-camping trips grew fewer and farther between, even though we both still craved the solitude of a postage-stamp-sized high mountain lake or the crooked, falling trill of a canyon wren. The good places, we long ago learned, just aren't next door to motels. They aren't even next door to campgrounds, but then we've never been afraid to hike a bit to get away. Several years ago we toured a small chunk of Europe in a rented wohnmobil - a miniature motor home built on a front-wheel drive Fiat frame. And we had a good time! So for our first vacation after returning to the Midwest, we decided to try renting a motor home again, this time for a California tour. Some googling, surfing, and a few 800-number phone calls later we'd made our choice: Camperrentalsusa, w. Here's what we thought... Begin at the Beginning: Initiating the Rental We where able to book either by telephone (805-641-4100) or on the web camperrentalsusa.com . I used the web to research the cost and availability of renting - visitors to the website can get an estimate without having to supply any identification or a credit card. I also telephoned to make a small change to our reservation, which was quickly handled without problems. Getting an estimate on the web is downright painless: you choose departure and return dat more

Rip-off - never again 9/3/2012

We've rented a 23'' RV from August 1-22, 2012 (3 weeks) from Eric, what a nightmare! Arriving from Germany we've received the RV in San Francisco. We wanted a fairly new car and were willing to pay more for that. Weeks before our holiday, we've asked Eric per e-mail and he confirmed in writing: We're getting the last model with low mileage. Our RV was 4 years! Old with 80 000 miles on the clock. So it was a pure lie. On the website a TV is an inclusive item, we didn't get a TV. There was no chance to get one before our departure. Asking Eric when we came back he said that he just forgot - what an attitude. Our RV had no ladder at the back, no TV, no shun shield. No hangers in the locker and the entire RV was old and scratchy. Anyway, we had a good holiday, decided already never to use the at company again until we gave the RV back to Eric in San Francisco. We also bought a new hosepipe because the one that came with the Camper was way to short and had a leakage. Then Eric wanted to force us to sign a paper that he would check the car days after we've returned it, if he discovers something, we have to pay. Until then he wanted to keep our deposit of 1000 USD! I've insisted that he should check the car while we're around which I find normal. Eric confirmed that we would get the money, but it would take a day. Being back in Germany he send us an e-mail that something was wrong with the entrance ladder and he found a hole in the bathroom, we must pay for it. Reviewing the case, that is all that he wanted. We still don't have a quote and we're still waiting for our money. The case is pending but I can only recommend NEVER to rent anything from this company and Eric. Bad guy who wants your money without giving you any service. OLD CARS as well. Will keep you updated. more

We would rent again!! 1/25/2012

All in all, our experience was very positive. Making the reservation was painless, and the rental guide they sent in advance was most helpful in planning. We found the staff on the phone and especially in Ventura helpful and friendly and they got us on the road quickly and with minimal fuss. Our return was just as painless. The motor home itself was clean when we picked it up, in good repair, and didn't have any of the lingering odors was half expecting. All the motor homes Camperrentalsusa rents are pet-friendly. All of the vehicles are also non-smoking. ????So I guess the main question is, "Would we rent from Camperrentalsusa again?" and the answer is a resounding "Yes!" more

We where happy with the RV and the great service, Thank Camperrentalsusa team 1/25/2012

I read a lot of the reviews before I rented from these folks last Friday. My experience was completely positive. There was also cooking utensils. I have a feeling a lot of stuff was left over. Someone had left all sorts of things like plastic wrap, cleaning solution, paper towels and bathroom tissue. Since I was only renting for 3 nights, I took what I needed. When I got back, I left the supplies that I didn't use. The guy who walked through the checklist with me was detailed and helpfu. RvTrip With Rental RV 4/8/2011

Sometimes, it can be a bit of hassle, particularly for family members who do not like roughing it, or maybe want to maintain a connection with the outside world. For those reasons, an RV may be ideal for a family vacation. There are a variety of RVs out there and they have many different benefits. RVs allow one to take all the benefits of home with them on the road. They have beds to sleep, bathrooms, running water, electricity and an area to cook. One of the hardest things about aroad trip, especially for the younger family members is keeping entertained while waiting to arrive at thedestination. RVs now have the option of having a satellite television, so they can enjoy a film or cartoons and are kept occupied. RVs can also have an outlet for a laptop, so that teenagers can regale their friends with their summer adventures on Facebook. If finding it difficult to get the family to join together for avacation, an RV may be a way to entice them to give it a try. more

Rented Diesel Pusher ,Great!!! 4/6/2011

I wanted to bring to your attention an employee of yours that has made my experience a total pleasure! This employee is name was Brad. I've spoken with him a couple of times regarding the reservation of my RV for my upcoming weekend vacation and both times I've spoken to him he has been positive, helpful, and truly a customer focused employee. His ability to make my experience with Camperrentalsusa.llc a truly positive experience was outstanding. Too often when being a customer on the phone - the individual assisting you forgets that the person on the other side of the phone is the customer and is making their payday. Brad put me, as the customer first! It's such a pleasure to have worked with him on my reservation. Being in the customer service role myself - I know what exceptional customer service is and Brad is a pro at it! Many times we focus on the negatives and don't praise or recognize the positives. In this case - I'd like to recognize Brad's performance as truly outstanding. Thanks to Brad - I'll always use Camperrentalsusa for my vacations and will tell all my friends who may be looking for an RV to use camperrentalsusa because they employ individuals who put the customer first. My first time we rented smaller RV but the last time we upgraded ourselves to the 38'' diesel pusher with 3 slide outs , this Class A motorhome is amazing. Drives like a dream and the inside was beautifull. Highly recommended. Marie more

Rude, dishonest, dirty 4/5/2011

My family of four kids and me and my husband rented from Erik at Camper Rentals. We saved up for this trip for awhile and were real excited. I mention we saved our money because we are not rich. When it came to the day to pick up the RV, they were late and thus rushed us through the walk through. Needless to say, we should've looked at every detail. When we got on the road, the TV did not work. Did I mention I have four kids? Our trip consisted of about seven states in a two week time frame. One of the main reasons we rented this RV was because it had a big TV. After several calls to the company, Camper Rentals, we got no help to remedy the situation. We were left with the whole trip and no TV. Then, when we went to pull out the hide a bed from the couch, there was a huge stain on the carpet. We called Camper Rentals and notified them. They said, ok. Also during our trip on the road, the closet door and the refridgerator door kept flying open. I was constantly getting up to shut them. We called Camper Rentals and let them know. They said OK, thanks. During all the calls back to Camper Rentals they would say, it was the previous renter from Switzerland that did all that damage and messed up the TV. They said they were trying to get ahold of them to fix it. I'm thinking, why didn't you notify us of these problems before renting? During the walkthrough? Needless to say, when we got back, we were told we would not get our deposit back because of the carpet, dents in the fridge, and chip in the closet door. I said, WE CALLED YOU?! They said, no you didn't. Besides that, they went and charged us again. We said, that's illegal, you can't do that. No response. Erik who owns Camper Rentals is only out to take your money and then some! Like I said, we are not rich, we were very carefull to take care of the RV. We were taken for the worse ride ever. Do not rent from them! The good reviews here are mostly from their office. I can't believe people can be so dishonest! more

Owner is a theif! 4/4/2011

I wouldn't rent from this place if it was the last camper rental left. When we were to first get the RV, it was two hours late. During our trip, the closet door kept flying open as well as the refridgerator door. I called Erik the owner from Camper Rentals and he said ok. The shower door handle was broke and was imposible to slide open and close. We also called on the road and told Erik from Camper Rentals about it. He said ok. When we turned the RV in, we were told we would have to pay for damage to the shower door and for a chip in the closet. I said, I called and talked to you Erik that it wouldn't stay shut. He said, sorry, I don't remember you calling. Erik the owner is a very rude and dismissive man. He is very nice when you're paying him but completly opposite when you come back and he's charging you for dammage. Damage that could've been avoided if he would've maintained the RV's. Our deposit was charged then when we got back, he charged it again! We told him, that is illegal! He just said, that's what it costs. He is the most pompous rude man I've ever met. Like I said earlier, not if it was the last place on earth! more
