Everything was very smooth 5/25/2011

My Recent Stay I had some problems last time I stayed here, but I am happy to say this time everything was very smooth. The room was in good order and unlike the first time the temperature was perfect. Service at the wonderful dome bar was impeccable. Check-in and check-out was a breeze. Also, the breakfast buffet was great. more

Great Hotel to stay at 5/4/2011

Great Hotel to stay at We loved the common areas and wished we had been able to stay a couple days longer. We were surprised to see that James Taylor was in concert that night in the Plaza Theater across the street. What a great treat. the theater was awesome and James Taylor was the best. Our rooms have always been clean 4/27/2011

Sunday Evening Stay We have stayed at the Camino Real Hotel in El Paso a number of times. We love the beautiful "Blue Dome" bar and the yummy food and superb service of the restaurants. Our rooms have always been clean, comfortable with elegant white curtains,lovely furniture, & great window views. This is the first time that the "fancy" restaurant and the bar were closed which was really disappointing. more

Historic Charm 4/26/2011

I always stay at this hotel when I visit El Paso for business. It is not the typical modern chain, and some of the amenities could use some updating (no flat screen TVs), but the service is spectacular, the rooms are roomy and comfy, and you can't beat the charm and history behind the Camino Real. more

The hotel, although an older building, met our needs very well. Rooms are comfortable and clean. Bathrooms are suitable. Rates reasonable. Staff friendly and helpful. We would stay there again. more

Nice Hotel 4/18/2011

I was surprise how nice the hotel actually was. This hotel was constructed in 1912...I think and you can tell that there was lots of attention to detail. They don't make hotel like this one anymore. I recommend it. Be adviced if you get a room on the upper floors, the is a dance club up there that will keep you up on certain days. I was on the 10th floor and could hear it but not as bad as it sounds. more

Good price/value ratio 4/15/2011

For convenience, we stayed here while attending a seminar. Our room was quite nice, although we spent little time in it. In-hotel restaurant selections were limited and on-street restaurant selections were minimal as many were not open on weekends. more

By the far the best! 4/7/2011

What an El Paso hotel should be! I am a regular visitor to El Paso. I have stayed in all of the downtown hotels. This one is by far the best. It is exactly what a Southwest hotel should be. Great decor, clean comfortable rooms, free underground parking and friendly, helpful staff. I would rate this hotel at four stars. I will stay here on all future visits to the area. more

Good value! 4/6/2011

My only complaint was the pillows were too big and not comfortable. When I asked for a smaller one they brought me a lumpy one. (ugh). The food at the restaurant was good but the service was a bit slow. The heating was a bit difficult to get just right as you can't adjust it to a particular temperature. more
