There is no doubt that Dr. Lewis really cares about his patients. He did not rush my exam and took the time to respond to my concerns. more

Time wait 8/14/2011

Most of the time this is a great place to go for your eye needs. But, 2 of the last 3 times, I have had to wait over 2 hours for my appointment. That is totally unacceptable to me. Otherwise, everything else was just fine. I just wish I could give a Dr. a bill for my time wasted....because it is just as important as their time. more

Eye Exam for glasses & contacts. Selecting Frames 8/5/2011

Everyone is always so friendly. I come in from time to time and check out the selection of Frames. Even at that time, everyone is so nice. I must give Coralie Badeaux an extra 2 stars! I like "unique sparkly" frames and I have put her on the search a few times for what I want and she just says, "okay, let me check on that". Great Customer Service more

Disappointed 8/5/2011

I was really shocked today 8/4/2011 of the service...Dr. Catherine Radakovic did not see me for the appointment she requested it for me to check my eyes due to the allergy i had from the silicon contact lenses and all she did she told her assistant what to give to try for the next time and even did not bother herself to come to the exam room to check my eyes. This is not acceptable at all from this facility i used to deal with for 3 years. I will not come back to this center or recommended it to anybody...unfortunately the previous staff were very good. more

Awesome Doctors, Terrible Support Staff 8/4/2011

The doctors here are excellent. They are professional, courteous, and helpful. The support staff is definitely subpar. When trying to pick out a new pair of frames the woman who was supposed to help me made me feel as if I was wasting her time. When I finally decided on a frame, she was all business with no warmth or courtesy whatsoever. After being told I should receive my glasses in 3-4 weeks, I was given attitude when I inquired about whether my glasses arrived in the 4th week. I was told that they would call me when they arrived. After the 6th week, I finally received a call. When I told them that I was told it would only take 3-4 weeks, that said it was out of their hands and not their fault. Talk about taking care of your customers! I highly recommened avoiding this place if looking to purchase a pair of glasses. more

My trip to Cal Oaks Vision Center 7/27/2011

I had been having trouble with heavy congestion in my eyes for a couple of weeks. I considered going to my primary care physician but knew that Dr Lewis would know exactly what was going on -- not "let's try this" or "maybe it's that". COVC got me in at noon on the day I called them! Dr Lewis very exacting in listening to & honing in on my symptoms. He gave me great advice, discussed all aspects of my problem, & told me in great detail complete with percentages what was going on with my eyes. He sent me home with free samples and a prescription! Dr Lewis is extremely knowledgable, willing to educate his patients (& his staff) and very caring! I just LOVE the care/treatment I get from everyone at COVC! I HIGHLY recommend them!!! more

I am never disappointed by the quality of the products, and the high level of service at Cal Oaks Vision. I lost my glasses on a recent trip to Hawaii, and WITHOUT AN APPOINTMENT I was able to sit down with them, pick out new frames, and get them measured for my face....THAT is unexpected service. Thanks again, for all your help. more

My experience today was very good. I been going to California Oaks for years and have never had a problem. Yth Dr.'s and staff are very friendly and very through. The only thing I am a little disapointed in is that it takes two weeks to get your glasses. more

the arrival of my contact lens was reported to be 3 to 5 days after purchase...they arrived 3 weeks later .I received NO notification that they were in until I called. more

frame prices are out of sight! 7/6/2011

I've been going to COVS for about 9 years. Dr. Lewis is wonderful, and I feel he gives me the best service. I usually change up my frames every two years, and in the past have been able to find a pair to my liking for in the mid $200 range. However, when it came time to pick my frames, I found that most of the cool frames are now in the $400-$500 range, WAY to pricey for my pocketbook. For the first time in the 13 years since I've started wearing glasses, I was unhappy with my choice. It was a matter of, which ones don't look so bad, instead of, "Wow! look at all the cool glasses I have to choose from!" I had a little meltdown over it last night. My glasses of course will function well, but they're not in any way a fashion statement like they've been in the past. I really feel like an old lady. more
