California New York Express Movers

My company needed large art pieces shipped from multiple locations in NYC to San Francisco. CA NY Express Movers went to the multiple locations for the pickups, coordinated well, and did a great job. Their bid for the job was also nearly 30% less than the cheapest bid we had received to date for the same job. I made several calls to the company to check on the progress, and there was nearly always a person to answer; if not, they called me back promptly and took responsibility for any issues. I would recommend them highly for companies moving anything East-West or vice-versa. more

I'm very satisfied with the way our stuff was handled--very carefully. The movers Cody and his team were very quick and polite. Elizabeth Solis from customer service was extremely helpful,efficient, and quick to respond to all my requests and concerns. We also took advantage of the free storage in New York City until we found a place in San Francisco. Also we received e-mail updates once the things were being sent. I just moved from Santa Clara CA, to Summit, NJ and used California New York Express moving company. Their service was great. They were on time to pick up the luggage in CA and delivered it on time in NJ. The moving people were great and very professional. There were not even single damaged goods. The delivery was before the promised time, which was great. more

The customer service at this company is second to none, and that is a very rare attribute these days. I was impressed every step of the way from the first phone call, to the in-person and accurate estimate, to the packing and receiving of my items. I had no worries about my stuff as it traveled cross-country. They really are there to help and do a good job and I can't recommend this company enough. There is nothing I would have changed. Every company should take lessons from these folks on customer service and efficiency! more

These guys were fantastic. I only had 200 cubic feet of stuff and every other company told me I was way under the minimum and would quote me for over 2 grand. California New Yokr Express Moving were happy to accomodate and were extremely reasonable with their quote. Everyone I interacted with was helpful and professional. Movers were fast and kept track of EVERYTHING on both sides of the country, allowing me to sleep sound knowing nothing is missing. more

We recently moved from LA to NYC and couldn't have been happier with the service. They were responsive to emails and questions before and during the process, kept us updated on where our stuff was during transit, and were accommodating to all our requests, including when we needed to extend our storage in NYC before moving in. The movers themselves showed up at our LA and NYC addresses in the time window given, and were both personable and respectful of us and our stuff. In my view, the cost was also very reasonable and there were no dodgy ""hidden fees"" or any demands for additional money. In fact, it cost less than we budgeted for. I can't recommend them highly enough. more

I moved recently from Glendale to New York City and used California New York Express Movers. I was delighted with the service. They were very organized and picked up placing a label with numbers and my name in each item. Gave me a copy and less than 10 days later they delivered everything intact. Not one item missing, everything carefully handled. The cost was very reasonable and very competitive. ABout half what it would have cost me to drive it myself in a rented truck. Yes.....I had a very great experience with CA/NY Express! I moved my piano to NYC 5 yrs ago with a different moving Co. and it was a terrible experience. Lot's of broken stuff......etc. Everything was wrapped well and handled well with CA/NY Express. I liked that they gave an email update from time to time to say where there shipment was...and how soon to expect it. Really great! From the beginning to the end I really thought the service was very professional and and well organized. more

I must say, CNYX was absolutely fantastic. Sure, it took a few weeks to get my stuff to New York from Los Angeles, but the service was top notch, staff was super friendly, nothing was broken or missing, and the price simply cannot be beat! The movers were SUPER careful with my stuff. I moved, literally, $20,000 worth of memorabilia and framed artwork... and was a nervous wreck from the second I put it in the truck. I moved, literally, an additional $5,000 worth of wine and expensive liquor. But it ALL arrived in pristine condition. They wrapped it with my bubble wrap, then newsprint, then a blanket, and then boxed it. Couldn't be more secure. My favorite part is the email updates. Every day from the time your stuff leaves its origin, you get an email letting you know what state your stuff is in. Once it left LA, the truck arrived and delivered my stuff within seven days! It took me three weeks to get my stuff from one place to another, but that's because I didn't have a place yet! So I got FREE storage in LA, and as soon as I had a delivery address, my stuff was on a truck and moving east! Took seven days from the time I gave them my new apartment location. You'd be foolish to go with another moving company for your cross country move! California New York Express is the BEST!!! more

The price was extremely fair and I didn't feel like I was being nickel and dimed. I also loved that it was clearly stated on the estimate that my bill would be no more than a certain amount so I wasn't ambushed upon delivery. All my stuff arrived in near perfect condition in 7 days exactly, so much faster and so much cheaper than any of the other moving companies I dealt with. more

As most people, I was very nervous about hiring a moving company to move all my precious cargo from NYC to L.A. I some how stumbled upon California New York Express, I suppose it was the name that drew me in since I was moving to and from those exact places. I did my research on them and luckily everything came out positive. They are completely legit, have an A+ on BBB, are up to date with their insurance and are insured for what they actually advertise (you'll be surprised how many ""moving companies"" I found that are actually only insured for things like feed, logs and hay... seriously) I called and John Filyan was my representative. He was more then happy to answer any of my questions and concerns at any time. He would respond to my emails, phone calls, and voice mails ASAP which was very appreciative. He even said if I had less or more items I was originally quoted for I could email him the day before and he'd change it for me. On the day of the move I wasn't sure what to expect, but all 4 guys were great. They went over all the paper work with me, let me know how the moving process was, and suggested how things should be packaged for maximum protection. My biggest fear was being up charged the day of the move, but the guys never did nor did I ever feel that pressure. I did end up having to pay a bit extra for the packaging of all my mirrors and 46' TV, but I supposed I would. My boyfriend and I sat back and watched while the guys turned flat boxes into amazing protective shields for all my mirrors. They wrapped everything in blankets, taped everything to death, and put a number on each item with my name on it. I had asked for my stuff to arrive ASAP, which meant 7-10 business days. They arrived in 7 and I got daily emails about its current location and progress. Once they arrived in LA I got a call from Peter, the dispatcher, and he asked me when would be best for me to get my stuff. We arranged for the following day. The guys came on time and got right to unloading. They gave me a check list and would call out each item number so I could check off each box as they came in the house. Everything arrived! They were helpful about moving furniture around till I had it in a place I liked. The only reason I am giving this review 4 stars is because my one complaint is that some of my boxes came back with torn holes, a bit smashed, and some had opened up from the bad tape I had used. Luckily nothing was broken and or stolen. But other than that, everything else went so smoothly. Exactly as I wanted! I was just moving a master bedrooms worth of stuff with an entertainment center and it came out to $1400. I would DEFINITELY recommend this company to friends and family! more

They kept in contact, gave completely accurate moving estimates, took great care of my things, were timely and great to work with in person as well. When I had to move from NYC back to California for a job, I became very stressed about moving my things. My experience 7 years ago moving to NYC from California was not great and I was afraid of both the cost and the possilbity of lose and damage to my belongings. From start to finish, this company was beyond professional. Both portions of my move (from NYC and to California) ran seamlessly. Both sets of movers (pickup and delivery) were pleasant, efficient, and gentle with my belongings. I felt at ease with them from the beginning. Elizabeth was an absolute asset to the success of my move. She was kind, helpful, and patient. If I emailed her a question, she would respond within a few hours. If I called during business hours, she was always willing to spare a few moments to address my concerns.  The email updates as my shipment moved across country were a great help, and they even held my belongings a few extra days in LA free of charge! When I was finally settled in my new place, they worked with my schedule and arrived within 15 minutes of our agreed delivery! As I said before.... A seamless job! more
