California Custom Maid Svc

BEWARE!!!\r \r I hired CA Custom Maid Service in June of 2012 to complete a move out cleaning of a house my mother had been renting in Agoura Hills.\r \r After the crew had left, I returned to the house to find two softball sized bleach stains in the middle of the living room carpet. \r \r I received a message on my phone from Rubin stating the maids had tossed a spray bottle of bleach down the hall, which landed in the living room, leaking in that spot, and that they ""accepted responsibility and would take care of it"".\r \r Since that day, I've had multiple phone calls and emails with Rubin. I forwarded the proposal for repair as requested. It was a reasonable cost of $500, especially considering the size and location of the stains IN THE MIDDLE OF THE LIVING ROOM, which was deducted from the deposit by the landlord. They have never denied responsability for it, and I have messages saved on my phone in which they accept responsibility, saying they will reimburse me the cost to repair the carpet. I've had several phone calls with Rubin (if and when he returns my call) over the course of the last 8 months where he continues to tell me it will be handled, and I will be reimbursed.\r \r My last email and several messages have again gone unanswered. I am now forced to file a claim in small claims court to recoup what they have said numerous times they would reimburse to me.\r \r Beware. The maids did a decent job, but if they damage something they will walk away with your money and never look back.\r \r Rubin and California Custom Maid Service...it has been EIGHT MONTHS! WHERE IS THE MONEY WHICH YOU HAVE ADMITTED IS OWED TO ME AND HAVE REPEATEDLY PROMISED TO REIMBURSE ME? more

BEWARE OF CALIFORNIA CUSTOM MAID SERVICE!!! This company is nothing but a scam. I bought a discounted LA Weekly Deal of The Day certificate - 2 maids for up to 3 hours; however, when I tried to use the certificate I was told they had no record of the certificate. The general manager than proceeded to tell me that I should contact the Weekly to get a refund and pay his company directly. WHAT. ARE YOU KIDDING. You lie to me and tell me you have no record of my certificate being bought and then you try and get me to buy your services directly from you. Being in the marketing business, I know how deal of the day certificates like the weekly's or Groupon work. The company running the deal of the day advertises the business and in return they pay the actual company doing the promotion a percentage of what the deal of the day company collects. The general manager was trying to get the benefit of the Weekly's Deal of the Day advertisement without paying for it. I would never do business with an UNETHICAL person like this. I promptly contacted the weekly, obtained a refund and know am writing this review so everyone knows how this business operates. My wife is a very meticulous and demanding person and when it comes to cleaning she is no different. For these reasons I was a bit hesitant about hiring a maid service. After talking to a friend of ours about the possibility of hiring a maid service, they quickly recommended the service they had been using for a while: ""California Custom Maid Service"". So, I decided to give them a call. Given that I have previously worked in customer service myself, I began to rate the over all service from the moment I made contact with one of their phone representatives. I was pleasantly surprised by the courtesy and professionalism with which I was treated. Since it was my first time calling I figured I wouldn't be scheduled for a least a week. Surprisingly enough, they sent out a crew the very next day. Because the house is relatively small, a two-person crew was sent. They arrived before the scheduled time and with all the cleaning equipment and supplies needed to get the job done. Since it was the first time I had used a cleaning service, I wasn't sure how long it was going to take them to do a thorough cleaning service, so I scheduled them for five hours. To my surprise they finished the job in about three hours and before they left they asked my wife to do a walk through to make sure we were satisfied. Needless to say my wife was very pleased with the work they had done. It has been over a year since, and we continue to use them-each time we call, we are confident we are going to get excellent service and for a very reasonable price. I never thought I would employ a service to clean my house. Why not at the prices they charge. They get the house cleaner than I could and it save my weekend so I go do fun things. I highly recommend. more

After being disappointed too many times by my previews cleaning company who didn?t show up again, I found California Custom Maid and asked if they had someone the same day. Not only did they do it, but they arrived within one hour!!! The lady on the phone could tell that I was freaking out and was very nice and calm. She explained the different services they have, ""detail"" and ""basic"". I decided to take the detail which was GREAT! The maids went tough my hole house and left it smelling clean (I forgot what that was like :)The price was very good and I asked the rep if she would give me a discount if I set up a regular visit and got it. Over all a good experience. 5 star on my book. more

I was very pleased and 100 % satisfied with the prompt and excellent service provided by California Custom Maid Service. We had just had a baby and knew family and friends were going to stop by to meet our new addition to the family. I was comfortable with my decision to use them from the moment I spoke to one of their representatives. They saved the day and for that I highly recommend them. California Custom Maid Service was professional and courteous which is why they are at the top of my list and I would not have it any other way. more

We have been using your services for over 3 years, across two different apartments/homes on the Westside and we are always satisfied. Your staff is always polite on the phone and they never fail to remind me of my regular scheduled service. We have requested to always have the same people clean our house & we wouldn't have it any other way. All of your maids were good but we just ""fit"" with our regulars. We'll definitely be regular customers for the foreseeable future, no matter where we happen to move more

Called this company to clean my apartment when I moved out. Looked over the yellow page listings and called several of them. I picked this company because they were the only one that had a """"security deposit back move out"""" cleaning for $125, while the other companies I talked to charged by hour only. They also have a coupon in the back of the yellow pages for $10 off, so even better. The person that answered the phone was very nice and professional, she was clearly hired for her great phone manner. Arrangements were made to meet the two person crew at my previous apartment. I was in communication with the office and the office was in communication with the crew. They arrived in their own van, didn't speak the best english but were very courteous. After a while of observing them, I was confident enough that they would do a great job and left for several hours. When I returned, everything looked great. I paid via credit card over the phone, so the cleaning crew just gave me something to sign. I tipped them and they were on their way. I received a thank you card from the company and it says on the back of the card, """"California Custom Maid Service is not the employer of the domestic worker it referred to you. Regardless, I was happy with the cleaning, it was a smooth and problem free transaction. The crew brought their own supplies and vacuum. The agency also called me to follow up on the phone. My guess is that most of these reviewers here probably leave their crap all over the house, dishes in the sink, etc. and then expect the company to be able to magically clean around it. Otherwise, I am truly at a loss, because I have been happier with this company than I was paying 5X the price to Molly Maids. more

Nobody was on the phone for any length of time. The two ladies sent spent every minute making sure my house was clean. They took off my bed canopies and shaked them out, they dusted under everything, they polished the wood. I highly recommend these guys as I got way more for less. more

I have been using this company for years and was in shock by the terrible reviews I found here. I have a 4 bedroom house and use themon a b-monthly basis. I have a teamwho always comes and always do a wonderful job. I even use this company for my spring cleaning and they clean everything from the inside-out. CCMS has been excellent for providing good service for people who like to call in a house-cleaning request at the last minute! They make a good effort to provide the cleaning team that you prefer. The pre-pay plan makes it convenient. They are very reliable about keeping appointments and times. I have not had a problem with missing items. I’ve been using CCMS for 7 years and have been very happy with the cleaning service and customer service as well. more

I had this company come and clean a vacant 3 bedroom home and they did terrible! \r \r They left hair in the bathtub, dust on the fans and on the top rim of the showers, dirt piles in the dining room, feces in the toilet and they wouldn't even come back out to clean it! I paid for a service and didn't receive what I paid for... more

I had some family over from out of town and didn't have time to clean my home. I knew I had a very small chance of getting someone to come and clean my home the same day but went online and found California Custom Maid. The lady on the phone was very professional and took her time to understand what I needed done and explaining the process. I called two other places and they did not have a same day service. Long story short, less than 2 hours later I had two people in my home and they went through it from top to bottom. Everything was left spotless and I could see that they went above and beyond in making sure my home was perfect for my visitors. The maids asked if I wanted to set up something ""regularly"" and that the office offers discounted rates if I did. Although this was only a one time deal, I will not hesitate to call them again if I need a cleaning.Not only were they good but the price was definitely worth it.They truly saved the day.
