Buy Direct

I honestly can't believe this place is still in business. We had a major DIY project with very limited time so we thought we'd hire out our tile work, what a HUGE MISTAKE. They mis-ordered every tile for our project(they did the measuring and still messed it up). I left the owner numerous messages with no response. We finally had to tell them to stop working so that we could keep everyone else on schedule. Due to the poor work I plan on having to replace everything they touched within a few years. To top it off we have a beautiful master shower that has a floor that doesn't drain! They didn't slope the floor correctly. So much for hiring professionals to do a professional job. Luckily we've stopped at least 5 people from using Buy Direct and I'll continue to stop people from going here. more

Absolutely horrible experience. They have an ok showroom and their prices seem competitive but the customer service and competence of employees leaves much to be desired. They told us they would call us and tell us the price of our tile prior to ordering it. They never called us (this would be the first of MANY times they didn't return calls) before they ordered the tile. When they told us the price AFTER ordering it we told them it was too expensive ($34/sq ft!!!) and they told us we were stuck with it because it was a special order. When it FINALLY arrived after several weeks, it was the wrong tile! I was assured the correct tile would be to us within a week. No such luck. Try 2 weeks. They ordered the wrong tile for one of our bathrooms as well. That wasn't too bad though because we never would have received the tile we wanted in the first place. I found that out after going into the store to enquire about why our order wasn't here yet. Instead of calling us to tell us that the tile was stuck at sea due to a shipping strike, they waited for me to go in and ask about it. CUSTOMER SERVCE FAIL #2. We informed them we needed to finish our basement so a terminally ill parent could move in. We were assured they would put a rush on our order. It will be here next week, it will be here next week, it will be here next week. Now 7 weeks later we finally have all of our tile because I drove to their Salt Lake supplier to pick it up myself! How about some customer service and accountability? How about you go to Salt Lake and get the tile? Several times when we called or went in they had no clue who we were and couldn't find us in their system. I'm absolutely dreading having them put our carpet in but because they have us bent over a barrel and don't allow refunds, we have to continue to deal with this ridiculously incompetent staff of buffoons. This experience has been horrible and incredibly stressful. We've had to reschedule every contractor around the delays caused by Buy Direct. My terminally ill father-in-law has been sleeping in my 9 yr old daughter’s day bed while my daughter sleeps on her 10 yr old brother’s floor. Nice...thanks guys. We were advised by others to use Contempo but made the mistake of going with Buy Direct. Lesson learned. more

I have used Buy Direct for several flooring jobs. I recently had them re-carpet my entire home. The work was excellent! I always get great pricing, friendly service and a job well done. I highly recommend Buy Direct! more

THEY DO NOT STAND BEHIND THE PRODUCT, BAD BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE, WILL SAY ANYTHING TO SELL YOU CARPET BUT WILL NOT BACK UP WHAT THEY SAY. \r \r We found the carpet we wanted and they had the best pricing so we waited about 20 minutes at there showroom for anyone to even acknowledge we were in the store. We should of know something was wrong at that time. We then placed an order for some of the carpet because we wanted to re-carpet the house in stages. When we went to pay for the carpet they tried to charge us more then quoted. They carpet was installed a week later then promised. We called to get another section of carpet ordered and no one would return our calls. (was told they are having problems with their answering machine well maybe someone should answer the phones) After about 4 weeks of no one returning our calls we went into the location and after 25 minutes with no one acknowledging us, we walked out. We also got a stain warranty on it and when I could not get the stain out of the carpet they would not send someone out like they said they would. We have only had the carpet for 3 months and regret ever using them. more

First off, they helped me pick out a selection of tile that i later found out was alike in everyone else's home on my block....then they sent a company to install my tile that did a horrible job installing it incorrectly and later went out of business.....no warranty! After finding out that the water leaking from the bathroom from the poor job done it had to be ripped out along with another 2000 dollars out of pocket. I do not recommend this place or would send anyone too them. I guess if you want cheap.....YOU'll get it here. CHEAP and poor quality......YOu really get what you pay for at this place. BUY DIRECT a BIG DIRECT MISTAKE. more
