BUSY BEE CLEANER 8/18/2011

Nice cleaners, customer service is very good. I took a dress in and it still had stains and they were very nice about letting me bring the dress back in to have it redone. I had no idea that it was soo hard to get grease out of satin. Their prices are very reasonable and they do an excellent job!!! I would recommend them to all my friends more

No Problems & Good Service 8/2/2011

I have been going there on a regular basis for three years. I get my dress shirts and pants cleaned frequently. During that time I've only had one minor problem. The person waiting on me readily agreed to redo my shirt and everything was fine. I have had no problems with customer service or other issues. My shirts and pants are cleaned and pressed very nicely. Gary H more

Traumatically bad experience - was told to ""Shut the F*CK up 6/24/2011

This was the WORST customer experience I've EVER had in my life. It really was - I'm NOT exaggerating. On my 4th visit, the guy behind the counter was especially short (didn't wait for me to finish my sentences before interrupting me with the next question). As I was about to leave I stopped and said ""You know, I always think I'm going to like coming here because it's neighborhood-y and green, but you're always short with me."" He said ""Do you want your clothes back?"" And I said ""No, I just wonder why you're always so short with me - I end up leaving feeling less happy than I was when I came in."" He said ""The problem is I'm not here to fluff your spirits."" I said ""I'm not looking to have my spirits fluffed - just some customer service."" Then he LITERALLY said ""You need to shut the F*CK up."" Verbatim - He literally said that! I said ""Wow, I wOUld like my clothes back!"" and he said ""Good!"" He gave me half my clothes back and said I needed to get out of there and I said he needed to give my sweaters back. He told me I had to wait outside. Stunned, I went outside and thought for a second while I waited - I was pretty upset and so unhappy with what had just happened. When he came with my sweaters he basically threw them at me! I said ""I'm sorry you're so unhappy"" and started to walk back to my car. He said ""You need to stop --"" but I wasn't trying to do anything else - just leave as fast as I could. This was a TRAUMATICALLY HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. Telling a customer to ""Shut the f*ck up"" is just unacceptable. Please DO NOT SUPPORT THIS BUSINESS. more

Horribly rude, terrible sevice 12/3/2010

I received a robo call offering a discount on my next cleaning. I tried to very politely tell them they should not assume to use automated marketing with customers phone numbers and was very rudely told to go stuff myself. It was almost comical how rude the young man was compared with how politely I was registering my complaint. Never going back and recommend no-one use them either. more

It may just be word of mouth, but Busy Bee may not be as busy as they would like. I just got a robo call offering a 25% discount on my next order. Given that they refused to take responsibility for the damage they did to the last two garments we took in for cleaning, there's not a snowball's chance in h**l that I'm gonna take them up on this offer - not even if it were a 100% discount. more

Runied Two Items with no compentsation 11/10/2010

I took two items to this cleaner: 1) a sequined dress from Nordstroms that I had only worn once; and 2) a hand-embroidered minister's stole. My dress came back with no sequins left on it--only glue spots in the pattern of the sequins. My one-of-a-kind stole came back with blue ink splotches on it. more

Broken buttons, double creases and bad attitude! 4/7/2010

I have gone to Busy Bee for 4 years. Recently, literally all of my pants started coming back with a double crease. I'd take them back, they'd repress them, but it didn't stop happening and no one seemed to want to take accountability and fix the issue. I picked up my usual weekly 30 dollar order today and both buttons on a suit jacket were pulverized. I called and explained the issue. I was rushed off the phone by the ""manager"" and told that I could come in for a refund, which I did. When I arrived, the ""manager"" didn't say anything or really even look up. I asked if I could have my buttons replaced and he told me that I had the option of a refund or replacement buttons, which would take a week. His attitude was disinterested, nonchalant and indifferent. I looked at him blankly and and asked if there was anyone around who cared about the business. Still no eye contact while he confirmed that no one is around who cares about the business. So, I asked for the name of the older man who is around sometimes and at least acts concerned when something isn't right. This ""manager"" told me that he didn't know his name. You don't know the name of the people you work with? Right. When I pointed out that he hadn't even apologized, again without looking up and super polished with attitude this time, he mockingly uttered a sarcastic ""sorry."" Yeah, me too...for the guy who owns this business that you're ruining. Pros: location Cons: broken buttons, double creases, horrible attitude more

Stay away! 10/15/2009

Have been going here for a couple years - but in the last 6 months things have really gone down hill. First problem was that clothes were not ready when promised. Second was attitude of manager when dealing with me - ""what do you want me to do about it?"". He couldn't manage to simply apologize - just kept blaming the employee who gave me the date. No customer service skills whatsoever. Third incident was last week - brought home my newly cleaned down-comforter and dicovered it had a tear in it. It was clearly damaged by Busy Bee - then the area around the tear was wadded together and pinned. Forget about anyone admitting the damage or offering to repair it - they just grabbed my money and let me walk out the door. I will never go here again. Cons: Poor customer service, damaged comforter. more

Bad Experience at Busy Bee 9/1/2009

The first week of August I took 4 sets of 20 year old drapries to be cleaned at Busy Bee Cleaners.10 days later when I went back to pick them up I was told by the guy there would be no charge as they had a"" problem"" and they ""look like cr*p"". It is fairly obvious that these reviews are written by agents of the people at Busy Bee Cleaners! If one examines these reviews the pattern emerges where a product (e.g. wedding dresses), or a service (e.g. pick up and delivery!) is melded perfectly with a location. i use to go throught them but i was upset on how they treat their customers. always mean and short temper, rude, and rude over the phone! I found another place that is better and i some of those who use to go through busy bee i got them to try out this new one and we just go through here from now on. I live in the 10th & Hoyt Condos, where BusyBee Cleaners provides pickup and delivery dry cleaning service. And I am very happy with how the service has worked out for me. Quality, Value, and Professionalism 11/7/2008

BusyBee cleaners has a friendly staff that help problems. I had a stain on my dress they were able to get out, while other cleaners could not. Their prices are extremely reasonable while their quality is second to none. I am new to Portland and they were able to do a lot of items besides the basic shirt. They preserved my wife's wedding dress in an awesome gold display case, cleaned my king sized down comforter when my cat peed all over it, and they even cleaned my pleated drapes. They can do same day service, which most other cleaners in the area do not offer. I would recommend this cleaners to anyone in the area! Been Using Them for Years, Never Have I Been Unsatisfied 7/26/2007

My whole family has been using this Dry Cleaners for years it seems; it's just part of our weekly routine now. They have always been very polite, and friendly (including the new owner, who is usually there when I drop off my clothes). My clothes always come out beautifully pressed and clean. I have even brought in things I feared the stains would never come out, and somehow they do it. I even trusted them with my wedding dress, which has been passed down through the generations. They seem to be very detail oriented, and make sure that you do not just feel like another face walking through the door....In my opinion, they're the best in town.
