Don't be fooled by the post on March 22, 2012 because it was probably written by someone that works in the office, so as not to tarnish Burning Tree's reputation. For one, I lived there for many years and I can say the only good thing about the place is the maintenance man, Bruce. Anytime anything needed fixing, he was on it and did an excellent job!
There are many issues with Burning Tree. The apartment manager Michael is horrid to deal with if you have a complaint. If it doesn't affect him, he doesn't want to hear about it. He has no personality and makes a point to reprimand tenants like they have been naughty children if he happens to disagree with you. He is a huge gossip and tells everyone whom will listen the goings on of current and past tenants personal issues that should be treated with privacy. It is like Melrose Place, so if you don't want your dirty laundry aired, don't ever stand up for yourself or get on the wrong side of the Apartment Manager, Michael Russell.
I don't think they are doing proper background checks on individuals that are being allowed to rent here because there has been such a massive turnover of people moving out and leaving a lot of units open, it makes a need for a fast cash enterprise.
Also, the ratio of crimes committed here have been on the increase in the past several years. Past and present tenants tell of the same stories of cars getting broken into constantly, drug use and distribution, domestic disturbances, and don't get me started with how many drunken and homeless people wander off of 40 Hwy and create disturbances out in the parking lots. Again, I have spoken to past and present tenants about these situations and have been witness to them as well.
The response time to 911 calls takes about 30 plus minutes, so if you happen to report a crime, they may be able to apprehend them a third of the time.
So, if you do not value your privacy, do not command respect for you and your property, then I guess this is the place for you. If you value your integrity, life, family and property, then run as far away from this place as possible. Rent is cheap for a reason. Happy apartment hunting to you all. God Bless!
