Maybe it's because I'm a reformed smoker... but why can't these pubs get some decent ventiliation? The Cherry Cricket did it. It went from one of the smokiest to a very tolerable ...

great prime rib special 11/17/2006

Go on a night when they have their prime rib special. Their green chili is also good, and I like to get it on my mashed potatoes with the prime rib dinner. Now that all bars are non-smoking, this is a great place to hang out. The old ""non-smoking"" room is no longer empty and lonely looking. This is a wonderful place to hang out for a game. The food is good, and the beer is better. Once you walk in you get the feeling you are not in the states any more. more

Apart from being dark at any time of day, this pub is warm and friendly. Food is almost always good, service is great and the patio is perfect for Happy Hours in the warmer months. more

Good Pub Fare - No Bull 8/25/2004

Great Prime Rib! They have bar specials every night for meals. Good appetizers, too. Their beer is also very good. Many flavors to choose from. Excellent selection of Scotches to choose from. This is one of my favorite pubs. more

one of my favorites 5/24/2004

this is one of my favorite bars in denver. i used to live right across the street, and i went there at least twice a week. i love to go for brunch on saturday and sunday mornings/afternoons. $3 mimosas and bloodies and really good food. the beer is great, their food is great, and it's just a really friendly place to be in. more

Memories of the Past 1/23/2003

I do believe ratings are as always in the eye of the beholder,however having lived in Denver a number of years,and a Bronco season ticket holder,the game really started there.i had the pleasure of playing Golf with the owner brothers,and I found out who they were,and decided to go visit after about 20 years.One Friday night my wife and I went there and it was like being transported back in time.Nothing had changed.Still crowded,still the same good food and still the same great service.It was a wonderful evening and since then the wife and I had moved to Phoenix,Az and now this month are moving back to Denver,near the Bull & Bush, I hope! Worth the Trip to Cherry Creek 11/27/2002

I've been to about 120 brewpubs across the US and Canada. Bull and Bush is rated in my top 5%. As a sports fan, I enjoyed all the televisions showing different events. I thought the atmosphere was cozy and conducive to group and family outings (although you would never think this being in Cherry Creek). The beer was bold and inspiring, not watered down. My friend and I split the nachos which seemed fine (my rating is mostly on quality of beer and atmosphere). Pros: Good Beer, Atmosphere Cons: Small Parking Lot more

Help, I can't breath! 10/25/2002

Maybe it's because I'm a reformed smoker... but why can't these pubs get some decent ventiliation? The Cherry Cricket did it. It went from one of the smokiest to a very tolerable level after Hickenlooper took over. The Bull and Bush offers a terrific atmosphere to look at but not to breath. I believe they offer a non-smoking section. But, as always, this is a room off of the main pub with all the ambience of a Country Buffet. I've taken my business to the Squelin' Pig. The place is non-smoking inside. That includes the bar and main rooms. What a treat. Pros: Good Beer, Good People Cons: Smoke, Smoke, Smoke more

Bull and Bush ROCKS! It is such an amazing restaurant with over the top beers and not just your average bar food! Be prepared to bring your appetite - their portions are huge!! And, check out Thursday nights - prime rib night. One of the best deals in town!! Denver's best bar!! Pros: great food, great service, great beer more

Go to Pint's Instead 6/11/2002

I think I was at a different place because Bull & Bush measures up to nothing like the reviews that everyone is clamoring about. It's run down, lousy nearly non-existent and rude service. Food is awful even allowing for pub grub and they were ""out"" of most of the ales they advertise on the menu. No thanks to Bull & Bush.
