My husband and I decided to give Buca di Beppo a try (we usually eat at Carraba's when we want Italian), since we were going to be in Cool Springs. The place looks a little divey when you walk in, and the hostess takes you through the kitchen to seat you, which was interesting, but the food was AMAZING. We tried the fried mozzarella, and the marinara was to die for. For dinner we ordered the chicken parmesean (and asked for them to make it spicy) and the finocchiona pizza. Both were fantastic, and it was quite possibly the best chicken parmesean in Nashville (and my husband should know, he has ordered it at about 15 different restaurants here!). As for the pizza, it was such a perfect blend of flavors (I substituted the peppers for mushrooms) with just the right balance of crust, toppings, cheese and sauce. We dined kind of late (almost 10 pm), and service can sometimes be poor at restaurants as it gets close to closing, but our server, Sam, was very friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable about the menu, our glasses stayed full, and our food came out fast, hot, and just as we ordered it.
Pros: ambience, food, service, value
Cons: none
