Browns Nissan takes Advantage of Miltiary Service Members 6/22/2011

Browns Nissan of Fairfax is bar none the worst dealership anywhere. They are consumed with [violative content deleted] and will take advantage of you. My fiance' recently purchased a 2011 Nissan Rogue from Browns Nissan, they sold her a base line vehicle for $27,000, this included gap insurance and extended warranty. I found out three days later that the dealership, despite agreeing to pay off my fiance's trade-in that they actually were only go to pay $6500 of the $8813 owed. They added $2300 to the price of the vehicle she was purchasing, yet the contact reflected a pay off amount of $8813. When disputing this issue with them they told me that they "never intended on paying off her car and that they rolled the remaining amount due, approximately $2300 into the price of the car she was purchasing." When my fiance' brought the car home I could not believe how basic it was, it looked like something out of the 1990's. We immediately attempted to return the vehicle and get out of the contract, to no avail. Browns then acted as if they were doing us a favor by placing us in an upgraded vehicle for $3000 more, yes it had much more in the way of options, but the price was stil over inflated. We tried numerous tactics to drive down the price of the vehicle, to include offering them a $1500 coupon, from True Car, which Browns Nissan has agreed to accept....they would not take the coupon. We even offered to them a check for $500 asking them to eat a meansely $300 in costs and they still refused to work with us. My fiance' and I are both military service members. I have served for almost 20 years and have been forward deployed on four ships to war torn regions such as Iraq, Afghanistan, Somila and other locations. My fiance' served eight years on active duty and has served the last four in the Reserves her unit is currently deployed to Afghanistan. Unfortuately, she was unable to deploy with them due to having some medical issues. This is not a ploy for your simpthy I am simply trying to protect you from getting screwed th more

AWFUL SERVICE DEPARTMENT! 10/20/2010

Whatever you do, drive a few extra miles to avoid having your car serviced at Brown’s Nissan in Fairfax, VA. I brought in my classic Nissan 300ZX for service back in June of 2010 to have the odometer and tripometer replaced and here are the events that followed: • When they replaced the broken odometer, no one bothered to tell me that the new one would not be brought back to its original mileage (43k in my case). I now have a 1990 Z with ZERO miles. I only have a receipt to show people what the mileage should actually be, but it looks otherwise suspicious (odometer rollback), which might make the car difficult to sell in the future. • The fuel gauge no longer works! • The steering column was not put back together correctly • There was a gasket hanging out of the instrument cluster • The other instrument cluster was not properly aligned • There was a one inch scratch on the radio bezel • The car was left unlocked in their parking lot overnight • Had to take the car back 3 times to correct these issues and the fuel gauge still does not work at all • Had at least a dozen phone conversations with people promising to call me back with a resolution and they rarely ever called back. I had to stay on them constantly until I just had to give up. The service department promised to get me a new fuel gauge and replacement radio bezel. However, at the time of this writing, almost 5 months have passed and Brown’s Nissan has still not bothered to follow up on their mistakes. In addition to the fuel gauge, it now appears as though my oil pressure and temperature gauges are now on the fritz, only working intermittently. I don’t know if this is a result of whatever they did to my instrument cluster back in June but when I reported it to Brown’s, they never bothered to call back (big surprise). The low level of customer service at Brown’s, quite honestly, is unbelievable. I’ll have to bite the bullet on this one and take my Z to someplace else where their staff actually cares about the quality of their work. Needless more

Excellent Service, and it's a Car Dealership! 4/9/2006

My husband purchased his car from Brown's Fairfax Nissan a few years ago and had a very good experience with them. Even though we live 40 minutes away from them now, and there is a closer Nissan Service Center, he still makes the drive to Fairfax to get his car serviced. He's never had any complaints. more
