Being new to the area with 3 dogs, trust me when I say I so wanted to love this place or at least, like it. I had such a bad experience with the actual grooming. The place is nice, small and crowded but it looked clean. Everything was good until I picked up my shih tzu. His hair was cut unevenly and his face looked like it had been cut by a 4 year old with a pair of construction paper scissors. It was the worst haircut he had ever received. In addition she cut the hair on his feet so short he hasn't stopped licking his feet for 2 days. To top it all off, I sent them an e mail which remains unresponded to. Stay away! more

Imformative staff 11/29/2010

I am mainly there for the puppy class that meets downstairs, however I always end up making purchases, i.e. leashes, collars, deodorizer, food. I have found staff very informative when I ask for suggestions or advice regarding my dog. They take their time with customers and invite inquiry and dialogue. more

The lady that helped me out was awesome. This is our first dog and she was not only informative but kind and very interactive. We have already taken our dog to get washed and have made more purchases from Brookline Dog Grooming since that 1st visit. more

I have always had a very good experience with your employees. There is one very thin young lady who insists on helping to carry my things to the car who is particularly delightful, but everyone has always been friendly and helpful. more

I was amazed 9/27/2010

I LOVE this place!!! After moving to Boston, I was looking for a good groomer to take my two Mini Schnauzers to...and thus I came across Brookline Dog Grooming. I walked in and was amazed with the selection of foods, toys and treat initially...then after turning my dogs over to the sweet as can be staff I left and ran some errands. I received a polite phone call when the two guys were ready and I went to fetch them. more

Experience has been great with one particular groomer. She demonstrates care for the dogs and provides any feedback from the grooming experience with the dogs. She takes the time to listen to the customers. more

Excellent work! 8/16/2010

My dog is a labradoodle who is very shy and afraid of blow dryers and such things. Nonetheless, her grooming has been superb----3 visits. You adjust to her personality and never complain about her behavior. I have a sense that each dog is important to the individuals who are working there. Finally, hats off to Marco for his excellence! more

An all around family environment, great place to take your pets, dogs, cats, ferrets or whatever, and a great place to go ask question about health and diet, even troubleshooting questions about products. Knowledgeable staff makes me feel comfortable even when I don't know what I'm talking about. more

Great food selection, and they especially emphasize the healthy + holistic diets. As a new cat owner, I have no experience with their grooming services, but I have a feeling they have revamped their customer service efforts, since I constantly see them talking very patiently with pet owners! more

I come here for small pet supplies for my rats. They have a great selection of treats, bedding, and food, and their staff is always very nice to me. The store is clean and hosts a couple kitties who will follow you around the store. Everything I need it to be. more
