What a fantastic center. First of all, the owners met me on a Sunday.... That is the only day we can visit daycares. Perhaps a Saturday but unlikely. No other center would even...

Worst

It's all LIES!! Parents are lied to...my daughter comes part time and paid a portion of the summer camp. Now I find out she hasn't done anything, hasn't gone anywhere, hasn't seen...

Honesty is NOT the best policy at this place! 7/15/2017

It's all LIES!! Parents are lied to...my daughter comes part time and paid a portion of the summer camp. Now I find out she hasn't done anything, hasn't gone anywhere, hasn't seen anything. SO, what did I pay my so-called summer field trip/ fun fee for? They will lie just to tell you what you want to hear. Another payment to line the owner's pockets with! Another thing, classrooms are being combined, for what? And let me talk about the toys. I saw on the camera kids putting toys in their mouth, and never once did I see someone sanitize it. How many kids are getting sick with all the germ buildup? I don't remember ever seeing anyone wash any toys there. That 's uncalled for especially when kids sneezing, coughing, and put stuff in their mouths. Bathrooms are smelly, like old urine. How can the kids stand that? I wish I knew what was going on when those kids are out of camera range, like the outdoors or the atrium. Anything can happen and no one knows especially the parents who are Michele's favorites and won't bad-mouth her or the center. She tells them everything positive because that's what they want to hear, but if they only knew what was really going on! And when something does happen, the cameras are only live feed and don't record, so if my daughter was bit or scratched no one would know what happened and you couldn't see it on the camera unless you watch it all day. Who has time for that, unless you don't work! I did confront someone about this and they said that they don't have the technology to have the cameras record, what a crock! So, how safe IS the center? Parents will never know unless they stay the day with their kids and still Michele will put on a show to keep you there even though parents aren't allowed to spend the day with their kids! I rate this place a 1 out of 10 and even that is giving them more credit...my advise to you, do your research, pay the extra money, and put your child in a quality daycare that actually cares about your child! Come August, I will be pulling my daughter out. Bad! more

You don't know what happens to your child off camera!!! 7/6/2017

I don't recommend this center for the fact that great teachers and parents are leaving the center! Wonder why? There is always a reason. Will be taking my child out because they need a familiar face to see daily and not so many changes. I picked up my child in the backyard one afternoon and I saw many broken toys and fixtures...no shade and hardly any woodchips...only dirt. Those children will be sunburned and filthy! No water is supplied during the hot days when children ask. My child said they were thirsty and the teacher said no water til they come in. Many other parents that I have talked to told me that their children are not getting enough food to eat for lunch and snack time, this is not right. I pay good money for my child to be satisfied with meals. Also, they are napping for way too long...my child is growing out of naptime and is not fair to them to stay still on their bed. I feel like the teachers there lie about how their child's day was. My child was crying and upset and when I confronted the front office they bold-faced lied and told me no they were fine and not crying even tho I just saw them on the camera! I trust my child with your care and you lie to my face? Teachers complain that there are never supplies for them and honestly, I haven't seen any artwork displayed or coming home lately. I saw my child one time drying their hands on a towel...did they run out of paper towels...again?? The daily supplies at the center are also scarce. This is a horrible center which needs to be run more efficiently and not when the owner feels like coming in. You lose business this way by not caring about what happens there! Parents be smart and don't enroll your child there unless you like being lied to and having your child starve! more

Stay far from here 7/6/2017

This place does not deserve any stars for everything they have put me and my child through. We started bringing our child about a year and a half ago. And everything was going great! They had an awesome assist director who took care of all of your concerns or problems. Fast forward to the beginning of this year. Everything went downhill. Assistant director left, closing director left, and a handful of awesome teachers I knew something was going on. Michelle started coming more often but whenever I needed to ask her something she was always on her phone. That thing was glued to her face. I would bring up the problem to the current assistant director and she would say okay I'll get it taken care of. That never happened. Buts there's more stuff about this center besides the management. My child would tell me that they couldn't have seconds of lunch because there wasn't enough for them, that sometimes for breakfast/lunch they were served water instead of milk because they didn't have any because the owner forgot to go shopping. Wait there's more.. my child would be forced to lay down on a cot for almost 3 hours even tho he was growing out of naps they said there was nothing else they could do besides lay down. My child was lucky if they gave them a book to look at. So besides the *** management, not having enough lunch, not having the right supplies, and forced naps for children who were going into kindergarten.... and there's still more. One afternoon I picked my child up from the playground out back and let me tell you that place is a disaster... the lack of wood chips was horrendous not to mention the broken toys laying around, there used to be a little shed type thing that you could sit under for shade but for some reason that was taken down... so now when it's super hot and sunny outside my child has no where to go to get some shade a cool down. They don't offer water outside unless you remember to grab your water bottle. And they're lucky if they get water inside. They have 2 water fountains but since we've been there they have both been broken. So besides all of those issues the only thing I liked about bright start were the teachers. Although you could tell that they had enough of the place they always cared for my child the best they could and I appreciate that about the center. But I don't recommend you going to a center just because they have great teachers.. I almost forgot one of the biggest things that aggravates me the most. THEY COMBINE CLASSES. My child should be with children their age. I shouldn't pick up my child and Their be anywhere between 2-7 year olds together. I asked about it and was told because they need to get staff out that opener they have to combine classes to do so. And because I pick up late my child gets thrown into the "atrium" with all ages for pretty much a free for all. The toys are old and dirty and the carpets look like they're haven't been cleaned in years. Can you imagine the smell in that place... as soon as you walk in it smells like dirty diapers. And the smell around this one teacher makes me want to puke. If you work in a childcare center you should have proper hygiene.. your suppose to be setting a good example for my child. I could go on and on about how terrible this place is but this should give you a good enough reason not to take your child here. more

What a fantastic center. First of all, the owners met me on a Sunday.... That is the only day we can visit daycares. Perhaps a Saturday but unlikely. No other center would even meet us on a Saturday. I asked 1 of them if they just didn't need the business. The receptionist said we are only 1/2 full but the owner said she will not work weekends. Lovely. Our son has been attending now for 4 months. He has some emotional issues and has a hard time with strangers. I was flabbergasted on his first day when the teacher greeted him so excited and sincere. We were called the first day because he hit another child. After 1 week, he was like a different boy. After 4 months, he still talks about going back to school. I waited to leave any review to see if things would change. The teachers and owners are just as sincere and caring as when he started. I would rate 5 stars without a doubt. We love watching him on our phones or laptop at work as the room has a camera. We work for a large company in the area who works with Bright Start. We do get a discount but we would pay full price if we had to. If you are looking for a great place that ACTUALLY CARES about the well being of the children, this is it. more

I have been trying to research this company everywhere I've went to 5 different rating sites. Every single one has had some real reviews (that were not at all batting there eyelash at this company.) Then I ran into the same exact reviews I this company. Seems really strange to me... I guess the average dumb can copy and paste... more

RUN FAR FAR AWAY! 9/11/2012

Ok if you love your children do them a favor and DO NOT I repeat DO NOT send them to this center. The owner is only in it to make money. She could care less about your concerns and your child. Where do I begin, their summer camp is a joke. This year you had pay $200 so your child could walk in a parking lot to chuck e cheese, get lied to and say a chef was coming to teach cooking to your child when it was actually just the janitor/lunch lady that dug in the fridge, pulled out some stuff and told the teachers and kids to "make a pizza" They do not have an adequate cleaning service because they are too cheap to pay one so the bathrooms, floors, the whole facility is always filthy! In my opinion a daycare center should be cleaned every night! Most importantly there is no learning or education what so ever. They claim they teach the kids but they don't. The kids run around all day while the "teachers" socialize. There is NO SPANISH or MANDARIN, they lie. They have computers in their rooms but they are old and do now work at all. The owner dresses more like she is going out clubbing rather then as a professional. The list goes on and on and on. They loball on their rates to spark interest in people and have a camera so that you can monitor your child but the camera's don't show the whole classroom. Only certain areas. The snacks are usually poptarts, sugar cookies, and or cheetos and juice, ARE YOU SERIOUS! Again like I said don't even bother. Pay the few extra bucks for quality childcare else where. They should not even get 1 star in their ratings more

Money Back Guarantee? 4/20/2012

To whomever wrote the "money back guarantee review", that is completely not true. They lost my son. I came to pick him up one evening and no one knew where he was, so I frantically searched for him for 5 minutes and we found him in a dark room with another one of the "helpers" who was changing his diaper. I did not bring him back after that and they called me for the 2 week's cost of daycare (from their contract) until I finally paid. They even called me at work. more

Frauds and only out to make a buck! 12/8/2011

Good: The teachers were very nice, caring and compassionate.. Bad: The center smelled of mold & soiled diapers, the bathrooms were dirty. Never enough food for the children. The owner/director was disorganized, stressed and was always on the phone with her husband or yelling at her own kids. She was disrespectful to her staff, heard her numerous times yelling and talking down to them. Is under investigation from DCFS.The center was alwyas dirty, never had supplies for her staff. The place is just a mess!. Improvements: Shut them down!. Other: John and Michelle ONLY care about the money! They don't care how they treat their staff or the parents. They lie to make themselves sound and look better than what they really are. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND BRIGHT START TO ANY ONE, EVEN MY WORST ENEMY! TAKE YOUR CHILD/CHILDREN OUT!IT'S THE THINGS YOU DON'T SEE/HEAR ABOUT THAT ARE WRONG! CALL DCFS AND ASK HOW MANY TIMES THEY HAVE BEEN INVESTIGATED.In a years time they eithr fired or had staff quite, 7 staff members in a years time, that is a lot.. more

Bright Start Learning Center 2/28/2011

I had an interview at Bright Start and I also would have to bring my child with me... I couldn't believe what I saw. Children running around everywhere crying, dirty carpeting, and the smell was terrible. Very unprofessional, and run very unorganized... the lady lost my resume and everything. The cribs were falling apart in the infant room, and they didn't have ANY infants enrolled. They only had two staff members...and ONLY 30 children were enrolled in their center. That should tell people a lot. Not impressed and very disappointed that Naperville would have anyone run a center like that one. more

MORE BENEFITS FOR LESS $$ 1/6/2011

I moved our 2 children to Bright Start Child Care from a big name center for a few reasons. I can watch my kids on my iphone or PC as they have cameras available. They offer Spanish enrichment, the cost is right, the owners are available 24/7 with any questions I may have, and they have a money back guarantee. I would highly recommend taking a tour. They even let me have 1 day free to see if my children liked it. WE WERE SOLD!! more

BRIGHT START REVIEW 1/6/2011

My wife and I recently moved our young children to Bright Start. The switch was not easy, but after touring the facility with the passionate owners, we felt at ease. As busy professionals with demanding careers, we needed a child care provider who could provide a caring and educational environment for our two young children. We sought out Bright Start in hopes they could provide compassion for our children while challenging them to learn more each day. We are very pleased with our experience thus far. Michelle and her staff of professionals at Bright Start have provided a warm, welcoming, and safe environment for our girls. Since joining Bright Start we have noticed the following... -Improved behavior -Improved comprehension of rules and consequences -Improved vocabulary -Willingness to discuss what was "learned" at school (Spanish, arts/crafts, letters, etc.) We feel that the level of care that Michelle and her team provide is outstanding. We would recommend this day care to all. Jake and Kim more
