This place does not deserve any stars for everything they have put me and my child through. We started bringing our child about a year and a half ago. And everything was going great! They had an awesome assist director who took care of all of your concerns or problems. Fast forward to the beginning of this year. Everything went downhill. Assistant director left, closing director left, and a handful of awesome teachers I knew something was going on. Michelle started coming more often but whenever I needed to ask her something she was always on her phone. That thing was glued to her face. I would bring up the problem to the current assistant director and she would say okay I'll get it taken care of. That never happened. Buts there's more stuff about this center besides the management. My child would tell me that they couldn't have seconds of lunch because there wasn't enough for them, that sometimes for breakfast/lunch they were served water instead of milk because they didn't have any because the owner forgot to go shopping. Wait there's more.. my child would be forced to lay down on a cot for almost 3 hours even tho he was growing out of naps they said there was nothing else they could do besides lay down. My child was lucky if they gave them a book to look at. So besides the *** management, not having enough lunch, not having the right supplies, and forced naps for children who were going into kindergarten.... and there's still more. One afternoon I picked my child up from the playground out back and let me tell you that place is a disaster... the lack of wood chips was horrendous not to mention the broken toys laying around, there used to be a little shed type thing that you could sit under for shade but for some reason that was taken down... so now when it's super hot and sunny outside my child has no where to go to get some shade a cool down. They don't offer water outside unless you remember to grab your water bottle. And they're lucky if they get water inside. They have 2 water fountains but since we've been there they have both been broken. So besides all of those issues the only thing I liked about bright start were the teachers. Although you could tell that they had enough of the place they always cared for my child the best they could and I appreciate that about the center. But I don't recommend you going to a center just because they have great teachers..
I almost forgot one of the biggest things that aggravates me the most. THEY COMBINE CLASSES. My child should be with children their age. I shouldn't pick up my child and Their be anywhere between 2-7 year olds together. I asked about it and was told because they need to get staff out that opener they have to combine classes to do so. And because I pick up late my child gets thrown into the "atrium" with all ages for pretty much a free for all. The toys are old and dirty and the carpets look like they're haven't been cleaned in years. Can you imagine the smell in that place... as soon as you walk in it smells like dirty diapers. And the smell around this one teacher makes me want to puke. If you work in a childcare center you should have proper hygiene.. your suppose to be setting a good example for my child. I could go on and on about how terrible this place is but this should give you a good enough reason not to take your child here.
