I had a great experience at The Bridal Corner. The sales associate greeted me with a big smile. Listened to my vision of what I wanted in a wedding dress. She picked a few dresses from the revolving rack, that she thought would look nice on me. And I picked a few that I liked. I ended up saying Yes to a dress that she picked out. I love it! And I can't wait to wear it! more

Was recently in there with my fiance. After the staff had to deal (quite well I might say) with an obnoxious Mom dropping the F-Bomb, my bride to be was treated like royalty! more

Reviews are reviews, be YOUR own judge :) 10/14/2011

Hi all, So after reading all of these negative reviews I thought I would let you know about my experience. I just purchased my wedding dress from Bridal Corner a few weeks ago. I am very happy that I didn't read any of these negative rewiews before going because I probably wouldn't have kept my appointment and would have missed out on a wonderful experience. That being said, I highly recommend Bridal Corner. I had gone to a few other places before going here and although had some good experiences they never felt like ""the one"". Here's my experience at BC. I showed up to my appointment an hour late expecting them to not take me in or be very annoyed with my lateness. However, it was the complete opposite! I was greeted very kindly by both the owner and Maria, the seamstress, who would be helping me try on dresses. The whole atmosphere of the BC is what a bride dreams of. Very clean, you get a nice big room to try on dresses and they have TONS of dresses that move around a revolving rack! Not once did I feel like I was rushed, or felt like a burden, or even felt like the staff was annoyed at me and my party. In fact, we stayed past closing time and no one made any remarks that they were closing and we had to be out. I didn't feel pushed into buying an expensive dress, or hasseled at all. I found the dress of my dreams at a very affordable price. Sure, they could have pushed me into buying a more expensive dress easily, but instead they agreed that the less expensive dress I loved looked amazing and couldn't have been happier for me.. I felt very taken care of and was even surprized to get a personal ""Thank you"" card in the mail for choosing them on my special day. I can not say enough kind words about Bridal Corner and I think if you are taking the time to read reviews, give them a chance and then YOU can decide your own review. Don't let any negativity hold you back from an awesome store, I am truly happy I didn't. more

Awful customer service 9/22/2011

The bridal corner has the worst hours and a very rude staff. I returned a tux that was rented for a wedding on Thursday after a Saturday wedding. I agree that is later then usual but the store closes on Tuesday at 4 and all day Wednesday. When I returned the woman at the counter informed me I would be charged an extra $40 for a late fee. I spoke out against that and she became very rude. I work Monday through Friday 8 - 6 and tried to return it after work on Tuesday. She did not care one bit and said she was charging my card the extra $40! Terrible customer service. more

very upsetting experience 6/11/2011

I am a bridesmaid in a wedding coming up in September. I ordered my dress over the phone (with a credit card) because I am from the Boston area, and could in to the store, and it was without incident. I was informed that the dress was in and had to be picked up within 30 days. So I made plans to pack up my two small children, which I then had to arrange for child care for, drive 2 hours, then make my way over to ?Bridal Corner? to pick up my dress. I am not complaining about any of this, for this is just my life with two kids, and I am happy to do it, but as any mother knows, it requires some planning. I get to the ?Bridal Corner?, try on my beautiful blue satin dress, and decide to pick up because it needed to be altered and I heard that alterations there were very pricey. I get it, everybody needs to make a living, but I am not going to pay through the nose when I can go elsewhere and have it done at a lower price. So the owner and I are chatting as I pull out a checkbook to pay, and she tells me that she will not accept a check. I get that, with all the returned check fees and all. Okay, so I pull out the plastic. She then informs me that she will take only cash for this transaction. I tell her that I do not have any cash, and she tells me that I will have to go to the bank to withdraw some to be able to get my dress. I calmly take a deep breath and ask her why. She explains that she gets charged a fee for every credit card she runs, and it is too EXPENSIVE for her to take them. She then asks what bank I have, and tells me again to go get cash. Mind you, I am from Boston and my bank did not have a location in the Chicopee area, so she offered up directions to other banks. In other words, she wanted ME to pay a fee, so she would not have too. I left the store very upset, and without my dress. I am really looking forward to going back outside of my 30 days (I am not from the area), to see what kind of fee that they come up with for holding it outside of my allotted time. In short, this establishment needs to make its way out of the dark ages, and start accepting the plastic. Everyone else does. Hell even cabs and smart phones do. more

I have seen bad service, but this is the WORST!!!!! 6/7/2011

So let me start off that I know that working in customer service is hard. I get it. It must be mundane to work with brides that are emotional and pay so close attention to detail. Please try to remember that although the employees do this every day, day in day out, this is the brides first time, and it is special. I was treated here like a nuisance. The girl that was helping me was not attentive, and really did not listen to what I was interested in. I have taken my money elsewhere, and obtained much better service, and got the Reem Acra dress of my dreams! I will not be back, and I will tell everyone that will listen of my experience. I hope this review is read by the owner, and some much needed training in customer service is mandated by all who work at the Bridal Corner. more

Worse Experience 5/29/2011

After having been in numerous weddings throughout the past ten years, including my own, I?ve never encountered worse service or products. I have yet to hear of a single good thing about this business from the many brides and bridesmaids I have known that have purchased gowns from this store. more

Wonderful Experience 5/22/2011

I purchased my wedding gown and bridemaids dresses from Bridal Corner and they did all the alterations on all the gowns, it was a wonderful expierence everyone there was so nice and friendly. My mother also does alterations for a dry cleaning company and she was going to do the alterations on my wedding gown and on the bridemaids dresses, but when she found out how cheap it was going to be to have them done at the Bridal Corner we had the alterations done there. I would recommend this bridal shop to anyone that is getting married, they have a huge selection of wedding gowns, bridemaids and even mothers dresses, the store is beautiful and very clean and i found that everyone there was very healpful. We also did our tuxes at Ron's Formalwear they are in the same building so we just took the bridemaids dresses right over to match the colors, it was great. I also work in retail and i know how some customers can be when they do not get their way and they never tell the whole story, so after reading some of the reviews the best advice i can give to anyone it to go there and judge for yourself. We all had a great time and recommend Bridal Corner to everyone. more

Worst Experience Ever!! 2/14/2011

Bridal Corner in Chicopee, MA has the worst customer service ever. Everyone that we encountered there was rude and unwelcoming. They take your money for the over priced items and then when issues arise they want nothing to do with you. They have over inflated prices for alterations and are very unfriendly on top of it. The worst of them was Analia St. George, the owner. She has no compassion and no sense of customer service. With so many options out there why would you ever choose some place this bad... Steer clear of Bridal Corner! Go anywhere but here! more

$250.00 just for a hem and press. 8/24/2010

Went to get my wedding dress hem from them. I talked in and it took about 5 minutes for someone to even greet me while im holding my wedding dress and shoe which as you know are heavy..Finally she tells me to go up stairs and she will be up in a few to help me with the dress. As she looked at the dress I told her I had bought it on line she then said dresses you buy on line are 2nd hand or dresses they messed up on... Now upset thinking the dress I bought for from a wholesale bridal shop was a bad idea. Long story kinda short It was going to be $250.00 just to hem and press the dress!!!I told them no thank you she then took my $25.00 for her time (everytime you have a fitting its $25.00 just to come in.) she then came out with my dress that she grabbed from the middle(it was on a hanger) and threw it at me saying GOOD LUCK!!! Go anywhere else but here! more

So Far So Good 2/1/2010

After reading all these other reviews I am now a newrous wreck because I just purchased my wedding gown from there a couple weeks ago. They were very nice to me and very helpful. I also had a friend buy her dress there 2 years ago and had a great experience along with her bridal party. Then another wedding I know of this year as well got all there dresses and wedding gown from there and LOVED it as well, which is why I went there instead of purchasing my dress from David's Bridal, because there whatever dress you try on and like & if you buy it just know that a ton of other women have tried on those dresses too.... At Bridal Corner all they have is the try on gowns and dresses. Then they take your measurements and order your dress directly from the company who makes it. I thought that was nice, where as I said at Davids Bridal you buy the dress right off the rack there and lord knows how many others have put it on and sweated in it... gross... So, I also purchased one of my brides maids dresses there this weekend and we will see how that goes. I am nervous due to the reviews, but usually people only post when they did not have a good experience and well, if its only 6 people out of the tons who have gone there then thats probably not too bad. I guess you cant always make everyone happy. I hope that my experiance continues to be a good one. To Be Continued as things progress... Pros: Helpful Staff, pretty wedding gowns & bridal pary gowns more

incompetent 10/16/2009

In early April I ordered a dress with a jacket for my son's October wedding. They insisted I was a size 2 when I normally wear a size 8. Twice they ordered a jacket that was too small for me and then told me there wasn't time to order another because it was 2 weeks until the wedding. After I complained, they finally offered to get the material from the company and have their seamstress make me the same jacket in the correct size. When I picked it up five days before the wedding, it looked like a bad sewing project done by a high school student. They also had neglected to let out the hips of the dress; instead they had taken in the waist and bust, making the whole thing too tight. Luckily I was able to find a seamstress that afternoon who remade the entire jacket and did the dress alterations properly within two days so that I was able to wear it to the wedding. more

Poor Service 6/21/2009

My daughter made arrangments with them to send someone to help tie up the back of her dress. ON her wedding day, girl showes up way to EARLY then not even in room five min. her phone rings, She goes out in to hall and within a few min. comes back in with the excuse that they are making her go back to the store she can't help my daughter with her dress more

Horrible 5/28/2009

This place ordered the wrong color dresses for all the bridesmaids. Then ordered the wrong color sash for the flower girl. Had to go back 6 times to get fitted. They kept forgetting to do things. Were told that alterations would be done on the spot and they weren't. 2 days before the wedding and the bridesmaids don't have their dresses yet. They were rude and unhelpful to the bride and bridesmaids. Said dresses looked fine, when they clearly didn't. Kept charging more and more fees for alterations. Will NEVER go back!!! Cons: too many to list more

great place for prom 3/20/2009

I visited this shop last year to go dress shopping and found it had cute dresses, but it was nothing too special. This year, however, I visited it to go dress shopping with a friend and found it to be the best place I've seen. Being two young teenagers on our own, I expected to be followed around and hassled by the employees, but they took us to a room downstairs full of only prom dresses and let us be. we were the only ones in the room so we were free to pick what dresses we wanted, try them on, and not worry about having someone be there to tell us ""how cute we look"" and how ""if we dont buy it, they will"". it is a nice place to go if you hate feeling pressured to make purchases. Pros: cute dresses, minus the hovering salespeople Cons: some dresses were a little pricey more
