Best

The food is awesome, and everyone knows it! So it's standing room only, waiting for a table, elbow to elbow~ eh! If you hate that kind of scene, if you're a barfly, if you'ld rat...

Worst

I've eaten there three times over the past two years. In my judgment, this food is so lousy that it seems impossible that it could be either cooked, eaten, owned or operated by my...

Best Food, Best Service 11/24/2006

My wife and I have been going to Brent's for years and continue to go at least once a week. Over the years our tastes have changed but we now share a half salad and a Black Pastrami Rueben almost everytime we dine. Special shout out to our favorite servers, Wendy, Andria and Francisco. Everytime we go we are bound to see friends, family or people who just look familiar. more

the best deli ever 11/16/2006

The prices are really not high compared to the famous NY delis where the sandwiches are $20, no exaggeration. The pastrami is divine but I can't help but go for the cinnamon raisin french toast, since they serve breakfast all day. Always wanted to try one of the practically football-size eclairs, but we're always too full... more

If I could only eat at one restaurant for the rest of my life I'd choose Brent's Deli 10/31/2006

Delicious sandwiches and great soups. I love the pickles and the rye bread so much. The menu is huge and they serve breakfast all day long. The only downside is the prices are high. Pros: Yummy yummy food & the best rye bread ever Cons: a little hard to find (in a strip mall and the sign is hidden by trees) more

New Higher Prices - Out of Line 12/26/2005

They just put out a new menu with much higher prices. They are now the most expensive deli for their fish platters in all of Los Angeles. They used to be a good deal, but come on going from a good deal to the highest deli prices for what they serve. I won' t be going back there anymore. They have just lost a good customer and already told them so. The owner just looked at me and didn't care. Pros: none anymore Cons: Over Priced, bad attitude more

One Great Deli 12/7/2005

I was first taken here by a friend from New York who NEVER has anything good to say about LA Deli's. He will go only to this place and Langer's. I was skeptical, but this place won me over and I go there whenever I get the chance. (and, you don't feel like you need a bodyguard in the neighborhood, like you do at Langers) Pros: Food, Service, Value more

A real deli!! 11/6/2005

I lived in NYC for eight years, and this deli is just as good as any of the great ones in New York! Brent's is amazing -- highly recommended! I always get the black reuben, and it's always just fabulous. Friendly service too, if a bit rushed -- but that's only because the place is always packed. Pros: Amazing food, Authentic, Pleasant service more

Very nice and tolerant of baby or toddler mess and noise (proprietors, employees, and customers alike are nice about this). Plenty of child-friendly menu items. No stand-alone high chairs, just the booster seats that slide around and hang from the table edge. Get a booth -- it's easier. more
