Waiting over 2 hours 6/28/2012

I waited over two hours on 2 separate visits. Otherwise I was waiting an hour and an hour and a half. The receptionist is very rude and lacks good social skills. Wasn't impressed by the overall experience. more

Gyn patient and ob patient 5/10/2012

I have been on both sides of the fence...GYN patient and thankfully, an OB patient. I began seeing Dr. Boyd in 2009. I needed a local GYN and wanted to settle in with one doctor in the event that I had any more children. I went in for an annual despite questionable reviews and was impressed with her immediately. I was not rushed, she took the time to answer my many questions, and was very personable. Due to many issues, I had surgery in late 2009. Shockingly, we were able to conceive in early 2010. We had a few minor issues but all in all, it was a good pregnancy and birth. I am now pregnant again and still with Dr. Boyd. I have seen complaints about urine specimens....if you are a patient, she checks your urine. I am grateful she does. I expect to see others urine at some point in any physicians office. (Especially if they don't have a lab area.) Wait time....Dr. Boyd delivers babies. As part of being an OBGYN, she gets called out for emergencies. PLEASE trust her to determine what takes precedence....I have had to wait before...with my 18 month old throwing cheerios out of her stroller...it isn't fun but put yourself in the other patients place. What if you were the one pregnant with an emergency? Would you want to lay in wait, wondering if your baby is going to make it? I had an accident on January....I waited several hours to see her but the nurses were monitoring me closely, my baby was fine showing no signs of stress, and Dr Boyd was waiting for some test results to come back. She saw her patients in her office that day then came and reviewed the tests with me. Staff.....no complaints. Any staff remotely questionable, has been replaced. I have referred several friends to Dr. Boyd and they, too, have been pleased. more

Great doc, bad time management 4/16/2012

Ive been seeing Dr Boyd for a few years now, and the wait time is getting worse and worse. I usually have to wait over an hour just to see her... After this baby, I won't be back. more

Dr. Boyd is wonderful!! 9/21/2011

I absolutely love Dr. Boyd! At time I do end up having to wait in the waiting room to see her but I can assure you she is worth the wait. She is very personable, and I've never felt rushed at all. She's also ranked as one of the top OB's thru Tx Health resources. She's fantastic! more

Quality of service 8/14/2011

Good: So far the waiting times have been longer than usual but not too gross. Bad: Seen the doctor for less than a minute some times - lucky to see her for 4 minutes...always rushed, always on the run...no time to answer questions properly and brushes aside any concerns I raised. Improvements: Pay better attention to patients medical history and files....improve listening. Pre=existing conditions have been ignored up to this point with no tests offered, no treatments explained, poor communication from staff and office in general. Other: The doctory might be good - but lack of communication is killing it for me...considering other OB's now. more

Amazing Dr. and Staff 6/22/2011

I have been going to Dr. Boyd for many years now. Although I agree with some of the comments from 2010 regarding the staff, you will be happy to know she know has an amazing front and back office staff that seem to love what they do, and that is helping and caring for their patient's! more

Great doctor, tacky staff 9/9/2010

Did not like the new receptionist. She acted like I burdened her when I called to confirm my appt. She was short with me and hung up before I was done talking. I have been going to Dr Boyd for years and love her to death! She is a great doctor and is worth the wait, but know that you will wait to see her. But her staff has always been a little tacky or short. more

Overwhelmed Receptionist 8/31/2010

I had always thought Dr Boyd"s office was wonderful, until they hired their new receptionist. Not only is she unfriendly when you arrive she has a tendency to treat you as if you are inconveniencing her when you call. She seems to lack basic people skills as well as the ability to follow up with patients in a timely manner. more

Great OB/GYN, very personable 7/28/2010

Dr. Boyd was is on-time, knowledgeable, and very personable. I trust her completely with my health. Her office is convenient to access at the Baylor Frisco Medical Center. Modern and clean. No complaints at all. more

Guest - Frisco TX 7/26/2010

I agree with all the positive and negative reviews. Prior to being a pregnant patient, I was just in for annual paps. I had some abnormal results and it seemed to take forever to get the follow up results from them. Talk about delay in getting blood work results! WAyyyyy tooo long. If all you need is a GYN, I would definitely recommend finding someone who doesn't deliver babies. I think there are way more of those docs in Frisco than ones that actually do deliver babies. Her bedside manner and openness and frankness in her answers to my questions have been helpful thru this pregnancy. Schedule regular appts in the AM if at all possible. The efficiency of her office leaves something to be desired. Need to decide what is important to you to determine if she is a good fit for the type of care that you require. more

Bad experience - would not recommend 7/26/2010

I am 37 weeks pregnant and have decided to switch OBs. I have found Dr. Boyd to be aloof and somewhat uncaring. She seems to brush off my concerns instead of taking them seriously and taking time to explain things. She also failed to mention that she would be on vacation for the 10 days leading up to my due date. Everyone deserves a vacation, but you might want to let your patients know what their options are! We had to learn this from another couple and called the office to confirm. It was true! Additionally, the wait time at her office is excessive. Perhaps worst of all, the way patient urine samples are handled is disgusting! It is not uncommon to be asked to place your urine sample in a sink with up to 8 other samples from other patients. Gross. I would highly recommend looking elsewhere. This is not a doctor you want to waste your time with! more

Great doctor 5/11/2010

I have been going to Dr. Boyd for four years now. She is very personable and was wonderful throughout my pregnancy and birth. She does a great job of explaining and calming first time pregnancy nerves. The nurses in the hospital all spoke extremely highly of her too and they work with her often. I have had to wait a few times but that is because SHE will deliver your baby. It isn't some toss up of who is on that day or time. She us worth the wait more

Waiting On Results 5/7/2010

I have not had the greatest experience with Dr. Boyd's office. On two occassions I have been waiting on blood test results to see if I am infertile and I have not received anything back than a week later than I was told. It has been a very frustrating time for me being that my husband and I are trying to conceive. Dr. Boyd seems to give preference over her pregnant paitients and she should not be accepting new paitients if she does not have the time to help. I am looking for a new doctor and hoping that I have better luck in the future. more

Walked out 3/10/2010

I'm sorry, I don't usually write these reviews and only occasionally read them, but I am extremely annoyed. I went to my scheduled appointment with Dr. Boyd a few weeks ago, arrived early as requested to fill out paperwork, signed in at 8:52 a.m. and didn't leave until 11:32. I saw the doctor for a total of 20 minutes and the rest of the time I waited. No apologies from the doctor for my long 2 1/2 hour wait. Being new to the area, I need to see a GYN for my 15 year old daughter who has an ovarian cyst. As a concerned parent I felt it was important to discuss the particulars with a GYN. So, silly me, I scheduled another appointment with the understanding of the receptionist, that we didn't have a lot of time because I pulled my daughter out of school to be seen. The receptionist assured me that the doctor was running on time. We waited 20 minutes past our scheduled appointment time to get into the patients room and then another 25 minutes for the doctor to come in. I don't call that "on time". When I peeked my head out the door, I said, unknowingly, to the doctor, I've been waiting here a long time, I have to get my daughter back to school. Her reply was, I've been called to a delivery, the nurse will be right in to talk to you. At that point, I walked out. She may be a good OB doctor, but her concern for her GYN patients is missing, completely. I wish the best to you if you use her as your GYN. more

I took my daughter to Dr. Boyd, too. 11/23/2009

I found Dr. Boyd's office very clean, the wait was about 20 minutes in the waiting room. The bathroom was clean and my urine cup was the only one in the cabinet. The exam was very gentle but thorough and the discussion was relaxed and informative. Dr Boyd is calm and very knowledgeable. I felt I could ask her anything and I did. I took my teenage daughter to her and she was very happy to talk with Dr. Boyd. We've moved away a couple of months ago and we really miss her!! more

Not Satisfied 10/19/2009

I have not had a good experience in the last couple of years with this office and am now switching doctors. I have not been well-informed about procedures being done prior to them being done and have to call to 'find out' what will be happening. I also sit approximately 30 minutes in the gown prior to my appointment, which is very uncomfortable--especially when the appointment itself lasts about 5 minutes or so. more

GREAT 9/22/2009

She was wonderful and helped me throughout my pregnancy. She was kind and considerate and very very helpful. The staff was great as well. more

Love Her! 6/15/2009

I have been to several OB/GYN and although my babies were delivered by another I found Dr. Boyd after we moved. I have a flipped uterus and Vulvadynia which makes exams uncomfortable and excrutiating. Everytime I have been in, there has been a wait, BUT After going to 5 different OB/GYN the wait was not anymore than I had had at any other doctors office . Dr. Boyd eases my tensions on every visit by sitting down to talk with me about what is going on, how are my cycles and anything else. Also, she is the first OB/GYN that has been able to tilt my uterus to get a Pap with out a problem, normally there is a lot of prodding by other doctors to do this, and with her it has NEVER been uncomfortable. She is very thorough and I highly reccomend her. more

Dangerous 5/10/2009

Was sent home after being given an Ambien and told to take a warm bath, per Dr. Boyd's orders. Was dialated to 4, 100% effaciated & bleeding. Was back at the hospital in less than 45mins & had the baby 20 mins later...would not recommend going to her. more

What a wonderful Dr. 3/24/2009

I am not sure where the last guest comment comes from because I have always known this office to be beautiful and clean. Dr Boyd is a caring and wonderful physician. She helped me through a very high risk pregnancy always providing detailed explanations and understanding. I highly recommend her. more
