I have been on both sides of the fence...GYN patient and thankfully, an OB patient. I began seeing Dr. Boyd in 2009. I needed a local GYN and wanted to settle in with one doctor in the event that I had any more children. I went in for an annual despite questionable reviews and was impressed with her immediately. I was not rushed, she took the time to answer my many questions, and was very personable. Due to many issues, I had surgery in late 2009. Shockingly, we were able to conceive in early 2010. We had a few minor issues but all in all, it was a good pregnancy and birth. I am now pregnant again and still with Dr. Boyd.
I have seen complaints about urine specimens....if you are a patient, she checks your urine. I am grateful she does. I expect to see others urine at some point in any physicians office. (Especially if they don't have a lab area.)
Wait time....Dr. Boyd delivers babies. As part of being an OBGYN, she gets called out for emergencies. PLEASE trust her to determine what takes precedence....I have had to wait before...with my 18 month old throwing cheerios out of her stroller...it isn't fun but put yourself in the other patients place. What if you were the one pregnant with an emergency? Would you want to lay in wait, wondering if your baby is going to make it? I had an accident on January....I waited several hours to see her but the nurses were monitoring me closely, my baby was fine showing no signs of stress, and Dr Boyd was waiting for some test results to come back. She saw her patients in her office that day then came and reviewed the tests with me.
Staff.....no complaints. Any staff remotely questionable, has been replaced.
I have referred several friends to Dr. Boyd and they, too, have been pleased.
