I took my grand nephew to this Bowlmor yesterday after school. I was appalled! For $26.00 for two per game, I expect at least the equipment to work. We waited a long time for someone to repair the lane. Also we were placed next to a party of five year olds who kept running in our lane area. The shoes were worn out that I rented, not sure about my nephews, and most of all the food service was so slow and unresponsive. There seems to be a lack of overall management of this place. And this was a Friday, no less! No thanks to Bowlmor! Next time I am going to do my bowling in Queens where the cost is less than half per game and the service much more efficient. Get your act together Bowlmor. more

I went here for the unlimited bowling and shoe rentals last Monday ($24) and had a really great time. The waitress was incredibly friendly and on top of her sh*t. The food was really great - I would suggest the sliders. Overall fun was had by our entire group and I would for sure recommend this as an alternative to the bar. more

Carnival is quite unique and like no other spot NYC. I went here with a large group of friends and Carnival was terrific. When entering we were greeted by jugglers, midgets and men on stilts. There are tons of fun carnival games and it totally reminded me of fun times I had as a kid with my family. If your going with a group planning ahead is crucial is this place tends to get crowded. We were set up with a list through AccessGotham. com. If you haven't heard of them I suggest doing so. We walked in with no hassles, and recevied Impeccable service. more

Why can I not give this place zero stars? Had a horrible experience here this past week. We went into the place and I initially thought everything was cool--I didn't mind the prices, this is NYC after all. The set-up was also pretty nice. However, the management staff was incredibly rude and incompetent. Well, the one manager was. I believe his name was Dan. I approached him with two complaints--one, I didn't think our large party should have to share a lane with another group when there were many lanes available. Two, our computer screen wasn't working. I asked our waitress to let us talk to a manger about these problems. I was very nice in my approach and I started off by thanking him for coming over. Dan was rolling his eyes the entire time I stated my problems. I then said calmly, Do you think you can help us with this? Sorry for being a bother. He then told me to shut the f*** up! I was flabbergasted. I tried to find another manager to speak to but our waitress told us he was the only one available at the moment and that she would try to fix our problems. I was pretty hurt after being told to shut the f up, so we gathered our things and left. I haven't bothered to call the company and tell them about this disgusting manager, but I thought I would advise fellow Yelpers to stay away from Bowlmor Lanes, or at least DAN at all costs! more

They were super friendly in helping us pick the right package. Our waitress was really friendly and kept coming to our lanes to make sure the kids have enough soda and food. Overall everything was all we could asked for...only thing that it was a little on the pricey side. But totally worth it! Pros: Service, friendly staff Cons: Pricing more

We came here when visiting friends in NY a couple of weeks ago. We had planned just to bowl and then head off into the night, but then found out from the waitress about the club upstairs. One manager we had been talking to and having a laugh with earlier invited us up and the night took off from there. Burlesque dancers, jugglers and beers. Definitely an experience. We had a pretty successful run at the games which saw my girlfriend become the proud owner of a goldfish and a zoo's worth of stuffed animals. The staff were fun, from bouncers to bar, they were happy to chat with the hyperactive (blame the cotton candy) tourists :) I read some comments about dress code. I was wearing Converse and a shirt. It seemed to be pretty cool & casual around the place. Good night had by all. Pros: It's a carnival...on a roof! Cons: It's in NY...I'm not more

I had to find a venue for my company's event this past May and I thought that Bowlmor would be the perfect place, something everyone could enjoy outside of the office. The event staff was excellent, from the minute I called, they discussed my options, what would be best for my group and I had a proposal within 15 minutes. The great service continued throughout our event, we had our own host, the display was excellent, they were extremely accommodating and they made me feel like a guest at my own event. I was able to sit back, relax and enjoy! Everyone had a great time and all agreed, we will be booking our corporate parties here more often. more

Bowlmor is the best bowling alley in the city! I have been to several parties over the past few years and never once had a problem. The atmosphere is awesome; with great music and glow in the dark bowling you can't go wrong. I definitely recommend the nachos! Pros: the Dunktank is delicious more

Bowlmor took bowling to the next level the neon lights the video screens at the end of your lanes so you can watch the game while you are bowling. Good choices for food, pizza, wings, burgers, egg rolls, mozzarella sticks. Waitress comes right to your lane. Very accommodating. more

Bowlmor is fun! Its a permanent disco bowl theme, where there are blacklights and blinking lane lights. Huge screens everywhere you look, we had nachos from the menu, and they were delicious and piled so high. Im not a great bowler but i still had a great time. So I was a little put off when I arrived. I almost missed the entrance. It is a small doorway leading to a very old fashioned elevator with an elevator door man. He manually designates our destination. But when he opened the rusty, old, antiquated elevator door it was like stepping into a wonderland of a bowlers' dream. Its carpet and walls are dark and tasteful. Its not until you turn the corner that the laser lights from inside fan you with an amazing fantasy! Its got a full bar, full of friendly and helpful service. They are all dressed in costumed uniforms just like you would see in a film from the thirties. They have great specials on drinks and bowling. It's so unexpected to find in the middle of NYC. I enjoyed myself so much, I intend to bring my friends and family here. Its a great place to bring the kids or even just adult friends. The food is great, the drinks delicious, quick service, and catering management. I AM COMING BACK!!!! I had the most amazing time here this past weekend. I went there with some of my buddies and we had a blast. Not pretentious, not too pricey, and there were a ton of hot chicks to go around. Guy's, if your looking to have fun, bowl a few games and mingle with some of New York's hottest girls, you can't do better then this place. Try Carnival too, too cool to explain....you have to see it!!! Pros: Um, hot chicks daning on stage... Cons: they were not dancing with me...;( more

I recently came here with my co-workers and we can't wait to come back again. The event planners who help you set everything up really take care of every detail so all you have to do is show up and have an amazing time. Come here on a Friday or Saturday night and go up to their awesome new night club, Carnival after you bowl! more

Went to Bowlmor for the first time last weekend turned out to be so much fun! It’s something different than going to some bar just sitting around talking with friends. We heard it gets pretty packed there so we called to see how long the wait would be on a Saturday night. The operator recommended a reservation, I seriously wanted to laugh at thinking you needed a reservation for bowling but it was worth every penny, two and half hour of unlimited use of your lanes without waiting. Amazing! more
