Great store 7/18/2008

La reine has not been on Newbury street for 2 years, also never had a store in Wattertown, all dresses have tags on, and price, Waltham store is 2 floors full of dresses, bridesmaid and mother of the bride. The second floor is the sale floor wonderful surprises are to be found and great prices. No alteration but Elena an independant seamstress is in the same building her prices are very reasonable and her alteration is excellent . Always miltary have a discounts, Pros: wonderful friendly staff, great selection in every price range Cons: too many dresses to chose from more

Worst bridal service I have ever received. 3/6/2008

I went to the Waltham store, staff was unfriendly from the minute i walked in the door. They took their time coming to greet me and give directions, then they left me in a room for over a half an hour and didn't say a word. There were 3 employees in the store and I was the only customer. They are lazy and desperately need a course in customer service. Pros: parking Cons: Customer service, bad staff attitudes more

My Dream Dress at a dreamy price 3/3/2007

I'm not really the type of girl who has always imagined of her wedding day with doves and white icing and the whole nine, in fact I wanted to elope. So I bought a really cheap, plain gown at David's Bridal's. Then my fiance bought an Armani suit in which to get married. Standing next to him, my dress looked it's price, and I began to cry. Pros: super dressed and service Cons: the alterations were pricey more

I loved this Place!!!!! 8/8/2006

La Reine Bridal was by far the best place I went wedding dress shopping. They were so welcoming. Every step of the way my bridal consultant made me feel at ease. She listened to my requests, listened to my price range and in the end found my dream dress. I thought they were the only store that deserved my money. Yolanda's is so over priced I was shocked to see the same dress at La Reine's for 4,000 less!!!!! Please don't be fooled other stores are totally out to screw you! If you are a normal person with a normal sized budget the only place I recomend is La Reine!!!! Good luck with your hunt! Pros: Best Prices for Designer Dresses! Cons: parking more

The Best Couture Bridal Shop! 3/31/2006

I had a great experience at La Reine. My friend and I came in to buy shoes on a Saturday without appointments, and the staff at La Reine was so nice. They ask you to take off your shoes, but only to protect the carpet from dirt, which would get on the dresses. The selection is very beautiful, and Jana who helped us was very, very nice. I have been in a few stores where I did not feel as welcomed, but I felt so appreciative and happy for the great treatment I received. I am a hair colorist on Newbury street, and I will be sending alot of my clients to this shop. It is expensive, but the quality of the merchandise is so lovely. I would reccomend this shop so highly. I did not feel any pressure whatsoever to buy. Great service! Pros: kind salespeople, excellent selection, beautiful location more

excellent service pleasant and cosy atmosphere, visited boutique la reine newbury st. have reem acra, romonakeveza, rivini, lovely comfortable couches to sit on dresses are beautiful, clean and excellent conditions, some of their prices are less than other stores, staff friendly and knowledgeable, Waltham was recommended, went on week day we had over an hour tons of dresses to try on much bigger place staff very helpfull we looked at pronovias etc. Highly recommand them Pros: gorgeous dresses, professional staff, good prices Cons: newbury no parking, get busy, phone busy more

Unhelpful, Rude Service 2/20/2005

I visited La Reine Bridal in Watertown. The salesladies were unhelpful, and I felt very rushed. After trying on 3 dresses, I still had not found a dress I liked, and asked to try on more. The saleslady refused, saying that I would only get confused if I tried on too many dresses. This after only 25 minutes of an hourlong appointment! In addition, I felt very pressured to buy and the saleslady did not seem to have any patience. I have spoken to other friends who had similar experiences here. They have lovely dresses, but I would not give such rude service my business. If I'm going to pay > $1000 for a gown, I expect to be treated with respect. Pros: good parking, nice dresses Cons: rude, rushed, poor service more

Loved LaReine! 7/6/2004

I disagree with the other reviews. I bought my wedding gown at LaReine and several of my friends bought there, too. The staff is fantastic! They sit down with you and discuss budget and only pull things according to what you want to spend. Yes, they ask everyone to remove their shoes, so that their dresses keep in beautiful shape. All their gowns have price tags on them. Of course you can get a gown at Vows for half the price - they have been worn by other brides. Between LaReine's 2 stores they carry 1000 gowns ranging in price from $500 to $10,000, so they don't only service high-end brides. Their prices ARE compatible with other stores. Fact of the matter is, I bought my dress there, the staff were wonderful, the seamstress was an expert - all contributed to me having the most amazing day of my life! Pros: beautiful dresses, excellent service, patient, polite staff Cons: , no parking - Boston, small Boston store more

fit for a princess 4/1/2004

if you're royalty (or have the pocketbook to rival a royal family) they'll treat you well. Otherwise, they'll be nice up to a point, then drop you as soon as someone with more means comes into the store. Very big on having you sign up for their (overpriced) auxiliary services. Pros: pretty dresses Cons: , inconsistent help, no parking more

Over priced, underserved 3/3/2004

I was very clear about my price range, was shown a bunch of dresses. When I asked who the designer was and how much the dresses were I got huge amounts of attitude. Not only were the dresses way more than my price range but the salesgirl refused to tell me the name and style of the dress I liked. Perhaps afraid that I would find it for much less somewhere else? You were right, I found the exact same dress at Vows in Newton for half the price and half the attitude. Pros: nice selection Cons: , bad attitude, you can't browse more

Out of price range 1/4/2004

I went here with my friend to find a wedding dress for her. She was very clear with the sales lady about her price range and styles she liked. The woman selected 10 dresses, half of which fit the requested style. We spent our time deciding which of the remaining 5 dresses was most flattering. When we finally selected the winner, we started to discuss depositis and fittings. It was only then (since there are no price tags on the dresses) that we discovered that the dress we picked was MORE THAN TWICE the upper end of the stated price range. ALL of the other dresses were twice the price range too. We quickly left, with my friend close to tears. As we were leaving, the saleslady said ""Next time we can show you something closer to your price range!"" Closer? No thanks. There will be no next time. Pros: Pretty dresses, Nice location Cons: Only shows high end, Ignores price range, Insults budget bride more
