This is the worst experience I have ever had with a gym! The equipment is always broken. They dont have any aerobic/water classes because all of their instructors quit! They dont tell you and its not written in the contract that its an automatic renewal if you dont send written notice within 30 days of the contract expiring and even after you cancel they continue to take your money... and if you need to complain or need to speak with someone, you can only talk to one person, and hes never there!!!Dont do it!! Dont sign a contract, youd be making a big mistake! Pros: no pros, this place is terrible! Cons: everything is broken more

very bad experience 3/1/2008

their equipment is old and needs lubrication. the members and staff are not friendly. you can see the people in the pool and they can see you and they are not attractive to look at what so ever. they don't explain to you that you need a written and signed document to be turned in to them in order for them to accept your cancellation... so about a year after i told them that i quit a collection agency contacted me telling me that my credit will be harmed if i don't pay $500!!! i talked them down to $200... whoopie! i am very upset and would not recommend body factory to anyone, ever! Pros: can't think of any Cons: old equipment, unfriendly people, cheats more

Cheaters 12/27/2007

They did not explain to me that my membership did not automatically end at the end of the year. They renew it for me and continue to charge me. I signed up with them for one year in November of 2004. December 2007 I got a call from a collections agency and they are telling me that I owe Body Factory $500. No way! They're saying that my membership didn't expire and that they have been billing me for years. Anyway, they're going to have to take me to court to get that money. Pros: Has a pool Cons: They are cheats more

old equipment, small facility, pool full of old fat people, good luck cancelling!!! 8/20/2007

the equipment is old and rusty. the facility is about the size of an average apartment. the pool is always full of old fat people. originally they told me that if i cancelled my 1 year membership then i would only have to pay my next month and last month's monthly fees. i tried cancelling after 5 or 6 months cause i found something much better and they said that i would be charged all remaining monthly fees but 1! i told them that i did not want to renew my membership but would continue with my membership throughout the year (it made sense monetarily). then, recently (now 6 months after my 1 year membership ended) a 3rd party collector contacts me letting me know that I owe $300!!! i would not recommend body factory in elkridge, md to anyone!!!!! more
