Boardwalk Day Spa

My husband and I went to The boardwalk Spa for couples night. It was his very first massage and he was so nervous but about 30 minutes into the massage he was snoring. All his friends were teasing him about going to have a massage,but he went back to work on Monday and told them how awesome it was and a couple of them are planning to take their wives for couples evening. He is definitely HOOKED on massage now. We had a great time and I cant wait to go back.The employees were awesome and the place is beautiful. Pros: Awesome Massage more

Took my girlfriend here for that evening at the spa and it was awesome. We stayed about 3 hours and then walked to a place down the street and listened to some live music. We both had a great time, can't beat that with awesome massages and good appetizers. She wants to make it a monthly thing. more

Me and my wife spent our anniversary at the boardwalk in January and went to this spa for a couples massage. There were so many extras we were not expecting like the rose petals on the massage tables and they gave my wife 2 roses when we left. It made her feel very special.I wish everyone could enjoy this experience. Pros: Thumbs up to everything. more

I received a gift certificate to the boardwalk spa for christmas and finally got a day off last week to use it. Being that I had never been there before of course i did not know what to expect. To my surprise it was so much of a great experience i have recommended it to my family and friends. Pros: Terrific massage and facial, ambience, service Cons: I can't think of anything more

My group was pampered totally when I had my sisters birthday party here in October. The employees were great, and the massages were teriffic. I am so glad I decided to do this because we will all remember this day. After our spa party we then had dinner at the boardwalk which made our day even more special. As legal consultant of this day spa I would like to say that it is very unacceptable and illegal for any person to fabricate bad reviews and post them on a public website. This is also FRAUD and is considered deflamation of character if proved in court. If you want a TRUE review, you should go the Houston Bureau for a review of this spa. The bureau keeps records, actually interviewing both parties personally and makes them public record. This is a great spa, contact the Bureau and you will see they have a great record. We all know that if someone is that unhappy with their service they are going to be diligent to ask for a refund and follow up by filing a complaint with the Bureau. For other businesses who might be experiencing the same type of harassment, I reccomend you contact an internet law specialist and let them handle it in a legal and professional manner. Unfortunately sometimes unhappy ex-employees, etc. look at this as some type of sick game. FYI ONLY. Please note, this spa is open exclusively by appointment only as the sign on the front door states! This spa does not take walk-ins to preserve the peacefull environment of the clients who have scheduled appointments. more

I decided to treat myself to a spa day for my birthday and I had the best time ever at this spa. My therapist was so wonderful. I enjoyed it so much that I tipped her every dollar I had in my purse, and she was worth much more. The staff were all kind and professional. I will make sure to treat myself more often. This was a great spa and I had my best birthday ever. Pros: Great shopping in the area. more

I purchased my wife a gift certificate for mothers day for this spa. She had never had a spa day before, so she was very excited. She went last week for her spa day and came home more relaxed than I have seen her in a very long time. Now she wants another gift certificate to the spa for her birthday in November and I will make sure she gets it. more

Im one of thoes gals that loves to go to spas. So my family and I stayed down in Kemah one weekend and I found the Boardwalk day spa on line. For one it was so hard to make a appointment with them. I got the answer machine all the time. When I arrived the door was locked and I had to ring a doorbell. I thought that was odd considering I thought by law that you have to keep the door open during business hours. Plus it made me feel unwelcome!! When I got there the technicians were real nice and the spa was pretty and clean. Which was a plus. But the facial was very short. She got up and left a couple times and came back like she was taking care of other people too.(she wasnt getting products for my facial) Then when I was getting my massage, somebody walked in a few times. Im not modest at all but to have someone keep walking in my session made me uncomfortable and forget that Im trying to relax and enjoy my massage. So after everything I didnt feel BRAND NEW like I normally do!!! Pros: Pretty spa but Cons: services were terrible!!! more

My husband and I own a business in the Bay Area. Our office staff had worked very hard during the summer and we chose to reward them with a spa party at the boardwalk day spa. I toured the spa before hand and was totally amazed at the cleanliness-professionalism-beauty of the entire day spa. Our staff had their spa party last week and came to work today with only good things to say. I can only say to other business owners, if you are looking for something different to give to your staff for Christmas, this worked out great for us. I myself went to the spa for my own spa day and give the spa 5 stars for excellence. It is obvious they take great pride in pampering their clients. We plan to do this for them again at Christmas. I can't believe that they can do so much for such a great value. 5 Stars to this spa. Pros: Everything!!! Totally Pampered!!!! Cons: Zero more

I was not quite sure what a spa party was, but after calling this spa I decided that this could be something different for me and some of my best friends to do together. My friends and cousins were coming in from out of town for the week of Labor Day. So I decide to set up one of their specials they were offering. It was such a great price that I did not know what to expect for such a value. What a great time we had at such a great place. The day spa was cozy, comfortable, and very clean. What a neat place they have. And very private as I was told that they only provide services by appointment. We had the whole place to ourselves for our party. They even let us bring in a birthday cake and ballons because it was my cousins birthday. Their staff made sure we were feeling at our best the whole time. Their staff were very attentive, the massages and facials were great and they even served us lunch which was a nice extra for the price of the package that I got. The boardwalk day spa is definitely a great value for what you pay. I would highly suggest this place whether you go alone or have a spa party like we did. I make it a point to visit different spas in every city I visit. My family and I made a trip to Kemah for Labor Day. I found this spa on spafinder, and decided to give it a try. I had made my reservation a couple of weeks prior to my appointment. From the moment I walked in I felt relaxed and at ease. The staff was professional and very neatly dressed. They even had on shirts that said "Got Spa Party". The services were excellent. I received a massage from a wonderful lady who made me feel extremely comfortable and at ease. She even seemed concerned about the pain I was having in my lower back. I received a facial that was excellent, the therapist made some great recomendations for my skin. The staff was delightful, always asking if I needed anything. I was so impressed that I made a reservation for my husband for a massage. The next time I visit the area I will definitely go back. My husband bought a package for me. The full works. I never get this stuff done so I was looking foward to this day. 1st- I never talked to a receptionist, only voice recorder. And by the time I recieved a phone call back it was past the date I wanted to come in. 2nd- Im suppose to get at least a 45mins to an hour long facial and it was like 20 minutes. She sped right through it. The massage was nice. The lady was very nice and friendly. 3rd- When it was time to pay. They didnt have a cash register or credit card machine there so everything was going through a young lady to another lady over phone. And I didnt recieve reciept. The spa decor was beautiful and the two younger ladies were very nice. The owner or manager needs some extra help with that beautiful spa. I would recommend the ladies that were very nice to me but I would not recommend the spa for lack of managing!!! Pros: Beautiful spa and 2 delightful young ladies!!! Cons: BUT NEED MAJOR HELP MANAGING!!! more

I had got a gift certificate for my birthday to the Boardwalk day spa. I was really excited until I called to make a appointment and got a rude answering service. I called back a days later and got their answering service and left a message. I didnt get a call back till 3 days later on my answering machine because I was at work. When I tried to call back it was the same thing again. THE ANSWERING MACHINE!!! You can never get anyone on the phone. You have to wait till they call back!!! That is not good customer service. I want to be able to call a business and talk to someone NOT A ANSWERING MACHINE. So I never went because I cant wait on their phone call back!!!! Pros: Dont have any Cons: THEY NEED A RECEPTIONIST TO ANSWER THE PHONE!!! more

For Valentine's Day I was given a gift certificate, it took me a while to get around to using it. I had a friend coming in from out of town so I booked my appointment for the Stress Relief Package and a Diva Package for her. They accomodated me with a last minute appointment. The morning of my appointment my friend called to tell me she wasn't going to be able to make it so I wound up taking my daughter instead. Upon arriving they were running behind due to two of their therapist's not showing up that day. They were so friendly and generally concerned about us being comfortable. It was a beautiful day so they invited us to sit out on the balconey while waiting, offered us lunch which we declined as we'd already eaten, so instead they provided us with the most delicious homemade fudge I've ever tasted and wine. The wait actually gave us time to relax before beginning the treatments so they were even more effective. The massage was to die for...hands like butter...just the right touch! Very professional and concious of modesty...took the time to explain everything. Salt glow was refreshing and left our skin like silk! The facial was fantastic also. It was a glorious day and in the end they even gave my daughter's package free for the inconvience. I believe things happen and a place is not to be judged by having a difficult day as long as they handle it well and show the customer that they care...Boardwalk Day Spa definitely did a perfect job of that! The atmosphere is awesome as well...rose petals and all! Top Notch without the Stuck up Attitude! I WILL be back!
