Excellent Pre-Natal Massage 11/12/2002

I have tried many of the local spas in search of a perfect pre-natal massage. Fortunately, early in my second trimester, I discoverd Blue River Canyon. They do a fantastic job! I have been going back almost weekly to indulge in this pampering. I especially appreciate thier scheduling policy which permits ample time between clients to ensure each client receives a full treatment. Pros: Licensed Therapists, Friendly staff, Relaxing environment more

Best Massages Around 11/12/2002

I have been getting massages a couple times per month for 2 years now at Blue River. I rotate around to different massage therapists, but Barbara is my all-time favorite. The atmosphere is very relaxing and I'm always looking forward to my next visit. I also get my eyebrows waxed, facials, and pedicures there. I got married at a Resort in Spa in Mexico and the massages there didn't come close to the ones I get at Blue River. Now when I go on vacation I don't even bother getting a massage because I know I'll be disappointed when I compare it to my ones from home. more

Personalized 11/7/2002

I have now had several facial treatments with Shannon at Blue River. I followed her suggestions, and my skin has truly benefited from her knowledge. Pros: Shannon, products more

Only okay... 10/22/2002

BRC was nice enough, but the staff was only KIND of friendly and I did NOT dig the Brentwood Soccer Mom vibe that I got from the clientiele. (Is it my fault that I'm young and not rich?) The services are very relaxing though-if you've got loads of money and time to spare BRC is worth checking out. more

Good spa...and I am really picky 9/29/2002

Blue River is my favorite spa in Nashville. I have been there several times, and the staff have always been friendly and competent. Having used an assortment of their services, I would say that the massages are the best. Mary and Sydney are particularly good. I am asking my husband for a gift certificate for my birthday. If you travel a lot, you may find better spas in other cities (especially in California!)...but expect to pay twice the price. Pros: friendly, good value more

Not worth it, at all! 9/25/2002

I was very disappointed with my 'spa day' at BRC, it was over priced, I did not think the staff was too friendly. I waited for 20 minutes for my turn, when it was finally my turn, I felt very rushed. I will not go back, nor would I recommend it to anyone. Cons: cold, expensive more

Won't go back 8/12/2002

I have been to BRC about 4 times. The first time was great. I would rate an 8. I felt it was more down to earth than the other places in town. However, I think that attitude is what I later didn't like about them. I found the place pushing its products, the therapist not knowledgable, and I was even insulted in an around about way. I would rather keep my money in my pocket next time. Pros: relaxed, on-time Cons: over-priced, non-professional more

Stress free zone 7/22/2002

These folks know how to treat their clients, and they do it with style. With a pretty good range of service, I wouldn't go anywhere else for basic treatments. Pros: good attitude, friendly staff Cons: no multi-visit $ off more

  • In Short
Amid the bustling traffic of Brentwood, this day spa's strip-mall storefront belies the nurturing retreat within. From the waiting area, decorated in earth tones and burnished gold, a hallway leads to several massage rooms flickering with delicious-smelling candles. In the tranquility room, spagoers rest on Victorian couches between treatments. Customized facial treatments are designed to invigorate, soothe and heal skin. Other treatments include spa manicures and pedicures, plus a hand-softening peach paraffin treatment.
