Both Chris, who is our technician who comes to our home and for Liz at the Blue Flame Office, these two people are top notch, A Plus, plus, plus!!! Their work, their help to me, their politeness, good people skills and promptness are a pleasure to deal with. I could not be happier as they are the best we have ever had. I have a 81 year old husband in poor health so I really appreciate all that they do for me, Chris in showing me how to deal with the heater this time, change filters, etc. etc. and Liz always so pleasant in getting me schedules and follow up and follow through. We contacted Blue Flame for a quote on converting from oil heat & electric hot water to natural gas a 80 year old house. Toni took our request & made an appointment in an efficient and friendly manner. Their comfort advisor Kyle Clem came to our house, asked appropriate questions, did a BTU calculation very professionally. He did a great job describing our hot water options. He followed up in a timely manner, providing great response to my multitude of questions. After consultation with several builders we determined that it was premature to do the conversion. So we are on hold but I definitely will be calling Blue Flame back when we are ready to make a decision. That said, based on our experience with Kyle and Toni - I can enthusiastically recommend giving Blue Flame a call for your HVAC and water heating needs. Dan Hall more

Blue Flame recently did an install at a home we are building in Shoreline. They were EXTREMELY polite and friendly, at one point, even offering water to another group that was working there at the same time. They were courteous, kept the worksite clean, and were very efficient. They worked well as a team and there was lots of laughter and chatter, so it was a pleasure to be around them. I would highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for a new heating system, or who needs repairs made to their current system. more

I so regret not calling Blue Flame first, instead of another, well-known company. Blue Flame sent out a miracle-worker named Tompall who restored the fireplace to mint condition and in working order..at a very reasonable price. more

Best Price and Great Service 1/19/2009

We hired Blue Flame (http://www.blueflamecomfort.com) last may to replace the gas furnace in the home we had just purchased. We estimates from three companies for the replacement - Blue Flame was the lowest bid. Blue Flame was the only company that showed up when scheduled - even for the estimate! We worked with Aaron P. who was VERY responsive to all our questions and concerns. Aaron was polite and professional. The installers were on-time, careful and cleaned up after themselves. The actual cost matched the bid (no extra charges hidden). We chose Blue Flame based on the bid, but also because they seemed to get consistently good reviews and rated well with the Better Business Bureau. I would definitely recommend them. more

Great for after-hours furnace service 11/20/2006

Last Friday afternoon at about 3:30 I noticed that our furnace wasn't working and the temperature was down to 65 and falling. With an 11 month-old in the house, I knew we needed to get it working again quickly. Based on Judy's Book reviews, I called Blue Flame and couldn't have been happier. They were friendly on the phone, and even tried to get someone out that day even though it was so late in the afternoon. I called around to try to find someone for that day, but few could even come Saturday and were all more expensive. When the technician came the next morning, he arrived right on time. Even though the furnace appeared to be working properly, he stayed and thoroughly tested it. He eventually did find that the ignition was sometimes failing, so perfomed some needed maintenance and tested it several more times. Before leaving, he gave us his cell number and told us to call if it acted up again over the weekend. He also told us how to get around the failed ignition so we could keep the house warm until the repair could be done. It was great peace of mind and made us feel a lot better about having to pay the after-hours rate. more

Reasonable and integrity 10/13/2005

Blue Flame did a lot of work on our heating system - dismantled and removed the old retrofitted coal-to-oil furnace in our basement, recommended a good 90+ new furnace, installed it on time and with little hassle and got it all done when they said they would. This was the only residential service provider in 8 months of renovation work on our home who gave us an honest and direct estimate of goods and services cost, who told us when they would do the work and complete it, and actually delivered on both of these commitments. That is worth its weight in gold. They were professional, respectful, and showed up for the bid when they said they would (another rare occurrence in contract services). I recommended them to a friend, who used them for his heating system replacement, and he was equally complimentary of their work. more

Wonderful air conditioning estimate and installation 6/7/2005

My builder picked Blue Flame to put in our Furnace, and recommended them for air conditioning service. We had a guy named Robert Macgregor come out and walk through the house, and he was terrific at giving us the information we needed and not pushing the most expensive unit on us. We agreed to a new Trane A/C unit, and their team came out within a few days and did a great job installing it. They were friendly and fun, and spent time with us making sure we were happy with everything. The new A/C unit is very quiet and works well, and just in time for the warm season. Highly recommended. more
