More options than anyone else/Great price/Thousands of pictures from HAPPY customers. We have installed to date 1,035 pools. We have had a total of 34 complaints to the BBB with 75% of them during the past 36 months.Thats 0.032%. We have been involved in 4 litigation issues in the past 36 months. These are the facts.We have not been a perfect company and have never claimed to be. In the end 99% of our customers would do business with us again. How many pool companies in Toledo area can give you a list of nearly 1,000 customers that have enjoyed there pool for years. People you can visit and talk to.If any of the complaints listed would like to have any work done above and beyond what is already complete, I ask you to list these demands with reason behind them and we will follow up to discuss. We installed 53 pools last year and can give you a list of 49 people that would gladly show you there pool and discuss what it was like working with us. WARNING! Rude, unreliable company! 2/17/2012

I thought I had done my research well. Checked the BBB and had several pool contractors come to my home. Please note, Blue Dolphin pools is no longer on the BBB website. He had 6 complaints when I hired him, the following spring that number was up to 16! My 4 day pool took 4 months. I have attached photos, you be the judge. To his credit, the unlevel pool was torn out and repaired. The initial dig was on 4-28-10, the green pool was July 4th weekend. It was finally finished late August just in time for the end of the season. The tanning shelf was cracked due to improper installation. He did replace that as well. He didn't show to close the pool like stated in the contract until I called and called and called. The pool was finally closed in October. In the spring I opened to pool to find large pieces of broken off concrete laying in the bottom of the pool. He said, ""it is what it is"" and noted he really did not know what to do about it. He blamed the concrete guy. I hired an attorney and the pool is usable but not worth what I payed for it. Best advice, check out Mossing pools. I wish I would have gone with them instead. Cool Designs 11/8/2011

ok, so I have read a few reviews from others and I am not going to knock the good/bad or ugly. I think the key to having everything run as smooth as you invision during the installation is ""expectations"". Blue Dolphin is a father/son group with 4-5 other workers. They tell you 5 day installation and it takes 10. We expected going into the contract it was going to work that way because it always does. My wife and I have built 2 homes in the last 5 years and accept the fact ""things happen"". The reality is we love our pool!!!!!! The son ""Ryan"" is a nice guy, but maybe a bit to busy working on many of projects. We chose Blue Dolphin because we loved the ""fiji"" design and the hoorror stories we heard about the other 2 companies we were considering just scared the heck out of us. Seriously people complain way to much, in the end we love the pool. Scale of 1-5 more

Beware!! 10/19/2011

We chose Blue Dolphin because of there great presentation and friendliness at the Home Show last winter. Needless to say I spent many hours waiting for them to show up to do various steps of our instillation. Finally when it was up and ready to go the new salt system was started incorrectly. When we called numerous times to ask questions or ask someone to come look at it , we were ignored, no return calls ect.. My husband and I had to figure it out ourselves. Now it is the end of Oct. and as agreed in our contract tha they were to come and close the pool the first year as part of the deal. Needless to say again numerous texts, calls have been made to them with no return. Unfortunately we paid in advance before the pool was done or maybe we would have had some leverage?? Needless to say don`t be fooled by a friendly person and don`t pay your complete bill till a job is done in full!! more

Blue Dolphin Pools in Oregon, Ohio, near Toledo is the WORST company to work with. Do not hire them to install your pool if you know what's good for you. They are unreliable, unprofessional, and unscrupulous. Please note that the 5-star review was written by Ryan Toneff, the owner. more
