Ben Bloch came to my house and checked my gas furnace, he told me that he would come back the next day to change a part. But he did not show up, both my husband and myself just waited for him for a whole day because we did not know when he came back. I called him and he did not respond. Then in the next weeks, I called him 8 times and left many many messages, he simply did not response! There was one time that I reached his wife, she told me that it might take days to order parts from manufacture, dah, that's okay but at least he should return my calls. At this time when I am writing, he still did not call me. I've NEVER EVER seen this unprofessional!! more

Ben Block has been out to my house at least 3 separate times since I have lived in my house. Every time I need something done, he makes time for me promptly- usually the next day, and he tells me a time he's coming- not an 8 hour time block- and he actually shows up on time. In fact, once he called me just to let me know he would be about half an hour late, which I thought was extremely thoughtful. Every time he has been out he's been extremely helpful and knowledgeable, as well as friendly (even goes out of his way to love on my 13 year old golden retriever). He always explains things so I can understand them, and lets me know honestly what he thinks is my best option. He goes above and beyond cleaning up after himself and making sure everything is how he found it. He has always been able to solve whatever problem we might be having, and I will use him as long as I'm living in the area! more

I was in the market for a new Central A/C Unit. One day after contacting Block, he visited my home and did a thorough analysis of what I truly needed to have done. I found him to be honest, courteous and very knowledgeable. I say this as you don't find many vendors who will tell you don't need to spend extra money on something that is not necessary. Character is very important to me, so I chose Block over 2 other Contractors. My new HVAC system was completely installed w/in one week and I am extremely happy. I have HSA home warranty and they sent out Block to diagnose the problem. Ben went out and when I called him, he told me he did not know what was wrong and he need to call home warranty company. But when I called warranty company and found out that the report he gave to them is totally different than what he told me. He is not honest and when he came, he did not even do any dianostic test to find out what was wrong with the ac unit. We used him last year when there was some problem with the ac unit (he contracted with hoem warranty company) and he was unable to fix it at all, nor did he even know how to fix it. We had to send someone else out to fix it. So I will not recommand Block to anyone. more
